Planning Out

While waiting for everyone to clear the way, Brick was busy making strange movements as if practicing something.

His body was under his control and felt familiar to him since he had assimilated well with it but there were still some skillsets that he possessed that the original did not.

Although it was a smaller skill gained from his youth hanging around skate parks and other sites with friends, he had a decent enough grasp of how to move and balance his body when climbing and running around.

He went over towards the side of the parking lot where there was an opening as a plan formed in his mind.

All it took was for him to climb over and upwards to grip onto the outer wall to attempt to scale up to the next floor.

He reached up as high as he could in order to test to see if there was anything to hold onto which had shown that there was a small gap that could be used so long as he reached up a little more to get a firmer grip on it.

The main issue was that he could not pull himself up properly if he was in a poor position or did not have enough leverage from where he was positioned to get himself to where he needed to go.

His foot stretched out a little as if to test something out again and he looked to be in thought over what he had confirmed.

Brick climbed back down then walked towards the ramp once again where there were zombie loitering around close by.

The noises made from the cars were more than enough to let them be drawn closer so they would have found their way up towards the first floor.

His movements became stiff and slow once he saw them he began shifting into his zombie performance state again.

His body rocked side to side and occasionally leaned a little back and forward while letting out some muffled groans. "Uuuh.."

Brick had still not changed into a new set of clothes since there was no time to do so which allowed for him to make his way down to the ground floor.

The stench of dead and rotting flesh travelled up his nose that was difficult to ignore.

He ignored the strong stench which either came from himself or the zombies he was passing until he passed by those at the bottom of the ramp.

He moved between a couple of cars checking it was safe and there were none following him. 'Phew..'

He kept searching around the ground floor for any obstructions presented by the zombies loitering around then spotted another group gathered further away.

A small ball was taken out from the bag along with a small toy.

He remained in place as he tossed out the ball that started to bounce between the floor and ceiling from the force of his throw.

He ducked back behind the cover of the cars before the noise spread and there was enough of an eye catching movement for the zombies to notice.

What was unique about his idea was the type of ball that was thrown out.

It was the type of ball that lit up once it bumped into something so it became more visible and difficult to ignore.

It was the type that was most suited to children or a dog which only lit up without flashing or making noises upon being triggered.

If it was one of the flashier or louder types then there would always be a risk of there being more zombies being attracted inside which was something he did not want to achieve.

The ball bounced from the ground to the ceiling one time before bouncing closer towards the zombies near the ramp until it rolled across the floor.

The angle it was thrown allowed it to be clearly seen and to not collide with the cars parked on their side which made it much easier to spot without accidentally triggering any car alarms.

"Uuuh.."

"Mmm."

"Hrrr."

The zombies further away were drawn towards the small ball that lit up and bounced around while the group that Brick passed had begun to surround and claw at it.

Each of their actions only helped to keep it moving around along the floor and lit up until they had a firm grasp on it.

One zombie finally grabbed it and brought it up to their mouth to chew causing the ball to stay lit up with each attempt it made to break through the surface with its teeth.

The zombies grew in a larger number while Brick remained still and hidden letting them pass and build up gradually until no more came.

Upon seeing no more movement from nearby and hearing the zombies gathered near the ramp, Brick started to pick himself off the ground once again and staggered towards them. "Hrr…"
