Zombie Types

The arrangement of the zombies was not the best for Brick so he took out one more ball tossing it so that it bounced towards the zombies.

It started to move lower with each bounce and bounced between their legs causing them to stumble and crash against each other disorderly. "Hrr."

By the time that they had shifted a little from their position chasing after the newly tossed out ball, Brick emerged and staggered towards them.

He inched closer and closer gradually closing the distance between them until he was finally able to get through a smaller gap that was created near the ramp.

The zombies that were gathered had moved over just enough to create enough room for him to squeeze himself past them on the way up the ramp.

Just as he was moving through them, there was a huge sense of danger and alertness within him from each smell and feeling he felt from being close to each zombie he came across in such a tight space.

There was an instinct within his body that urged him to run or to strike first against any of the zombies that came too close.

He held it in as he suppressed such urges then continued to move his body in the same pattern.

It was slow and steady but he had eventually found his way through any that were in his path where he still had half of the remaining ramp to walk up.

Instead of hurrying towards his goal that was so close, he kept up his slow movements even as he reached near the top of the ramp.

There was a single zombie that followed behind him from within the crowd that had broken off from the others and it was not too far behind him. "Uuu."

It had a large chunky build so its movement was slightly slower than others but Brick was aware of the danger it still presented.

It caused him to remember something about the zombies that was rarely brought up since it was something that did not make that big of a difference in the beginning or it was overlooked.

Each zombie had a different build and appearance based off their original appearance before they died and the changes they underwent before and after turning into one.

Each zombie was a weaker and more rigid version of their past selves including the abnormalities or injuries they had sustained.

It made a normal person weaker and slower while making a well build person able to show off more power than other zombies giving them a stronger grip or other features.

Even a chubby person could have their own advantages and disadvantages as a zombie since they were much slower than others but they were heavier and had more flesh on their body to protect them.

In the beginning of the apocalypse, it was very easy for people to fall victim to the differences of the zombies that had yet to evolve since they had not adapted to the small differences between them.

It was easier to categorise them based on their appearance to better understand how they would develop once the evolution of the zombie virus progressed.

An example would be that a muscular man was bitten causing them to become slower and more rigid but a lot of the bodies power remained.

That zombie would be categorised as a strength type zombie but the results of its evolution would not show up as a big difference between other zombies until it evolved to a higher grade.

There was an example of other zombies which developed in some strange ways after getting a major injury or impairment.

Those types would evolve to suit their need for survival just like how a zombie with its legs missing would evolve to improve its arms ability to let it crawl across the ground.

The zombie virus seemed to evolve based on some kind of need for survival or something similar which resulted in not just the zombies turning out that way but also for the humans who gained a much wider variety of super powers.

The main difference was that the zombies and animals evolution paths were purely physical related unless there was a very rare type among them.

Such rarities were called zombie lords due to their unique characteristics or ability that let them possess greater intelligence or even the ability to command their own kind.

The zombie chasing Brick was slow but it would definitely be troublesome for a single person to deal with if they let it get too close.

It was the type of zombie better known as a meat shield due to its rounder and slow size that was easy to fall victim to its bodies weight once it grabbed onto its target and fell over them.

Anyone inexperienced in dealing with them would underestimate them due to their slow size but a little carelessness that was enough to miss their vulnerable points for a killing blow could allow them to pin their victims underneath their heavy body making it more difficult to escape or put up a fight against them.

If the zombie did not finish its victim itself then the other zombies would have more than enough time to get to them to kill the victim before they could attempt to free themselves.

The round zombie kept following Brick which was quite bothersome since it could attract others.

It was much too soon for a larger number to follow near him so he slowly raised his hand forming an invisible barrier between himself and the zombie.

He focussed on maintaining it as he was slowly gaining some distance then the zombie hit something softly and stopped for some time until it shrugged off in another direction.

Once there was a little more distance, Brick started to climb up again slowly and positioned himself.

A whistle came from his lips all of a sudden that was loud enough to reach the zombies near the bottom of the ramp or that were loitering around.

He carefully watched for some time as they started to appear in a larger number at the top of the ramp.

He whistled again attracting their attention then reached up towards the ledge higher up.

One of his feet suddenly stepped off where he was standing a little higher from where he was standing before coming down a little.

It looked like he would fall down after losing his balance once he stepped on nothing but air.

Nothing bad happened as a result of his actions and instead of falling, his foot remained in place as if stepping on an invisible flat surface.

The small step taken caused Brick to gain more confidence as he was able to reach up to get a firmer grip further on the outside ledge above him. "Hah.."

Another whistle came from him which caused the zombie to take more notice of his actions and began to swarm towards his position.

"Hrrr."

"Haarg."

"Uuuh."
