Deal with it, loser.

Karina stepped out of the bathroom and immediately hit the bed. She was exhausted and thanks to Veron, her stomach was full.

Sleep, however, did not show up. It felt different and kind of lonely sleeping alone in the room and on the large bed. She had always shared the room with Nori, and now that Nori was away, the feeling of being alone in the world without an identity washed over her.

A soft sigh escaped her lips as she told herself not to indulge in such thoughts. She still felt lost after everything that happened, but she didn't want to make Veron feel bad by falling back to the way she had been the past two nights.

Just as she shut her eyes, willing sleep to take over, she heard the door creak open and she opened her eyes. She moved her gaze in that direction and discovered it was Veron.

"I would have knocked, but I didn't want to wake you up if you were already asleep." He informed her, walking toward the bed.
