The walk back to the packhouse was silent, Rowyn kept tossing her questioning glances every so often as the patrollers of Elmwood made sure to keep a tight formation around Cynthia so she couldn’t escape. And if she tried to attack? She’d be outnumbered with all of them, it took them far longer to get inside than what Zalena would have liked, but considering she had seen bruises on Cynthia, she knew the omega was hurting.
She followed Rowyn up to their shared bedroom, they had shifted back to their human forms and got dressed as quickly as possible. As Zalena was about to walk out of the room, a hand stopped her and she glanced over her shoulder to look at Rowyn. “Listen about earlier…” He began but Zalena had cut him off.
“It’s fine Rowyn, they’re a part of your pack. I’m still new here… I know they’ll come around eventually, it just may take awhile, and a scolding or two.” She offered but Rowyn merely frowned in response and shook his head.
