Cynthia had gotten settled in for the night, one of the guards making sure that she had everything necessary for her and her pup. The pup had been beyond thrilled to see Zalena again, and she offered to spend time with him the next day if he settled in for the night for his mom. The pup promised that he would, and by the next morning, the pup had come bounding down the stairs and nearly slammed into Zalena’s legs only to hug her.
Stumbling slightly, she caught her balance and returned the eager hug, scooping the pup up and setting him on the counter as she made breakfast. Rowyn had told her that she didn’t need to do that but it had helped her think things through when situations got to be too tough. The omegas that had been making fun of her, and poking at her had apologized, and while she didn’t fully believe they would come around to her ever, she at least accepted the apology.
