A Fear

Emilia dragged herself home. That was all she could say about it. After what had happened a few days ago, she had been avoiding any form of communication with Noel. She had no idea how to face him. Heck, she had no idea how to face herself.

Where did she get this feeling of inferiority from? And she was pretty sure that there was some form of envy in her heart as well. She'd always prided herself on being clear-headed but now she could only doubt herself.

Mechanically, she checked the surroundings for Noel's car and breathed a sigh of relief when she noticed that it wasn't there. He'd gone out somewhere. In order to avoid him, she had gone to great lengths. She had slinked into the house, she had even hidden away in the bushes waiting late until the night to avoid him, but the truth was she was avoiding herself. She'd even skipped breakfast! Something that she had never done in the past.
