A Realization

"Come on, sleeping beauty. It's time to go." Noel gently shook her shoulder, his voice filled with warmth. "Emilia, it's time to go," he whispered again softly.

Emilia blinked her eyes open, slowly adjusting to the soft light, her mind slowly piecing together the events of the evening. She had fallen asleep here, in this safe house, with Noel by her side. It was an odd sensation that she'd been able to sleep even with the threat hanging over her head.

The threat reminded her of what Noel had told her about Clive's plan and her eyes whipped to Noel who stood there packing guns and whatnot into his bag. Things she had not even known were here. Seeing that he had her attention, Noel threw a small bag in her direction and said, "Have the energy bar and use this gun to defend yourself. The smaller one you had will not work much."

"How did you know I still have the credit card gun and how do you know that I can shoot? I've kept it quiet."
