47. Dark Mana Part 3

System 0, LU and Audrey looked at each other worriedly before they turned their attention back to Cleopatra who was still waiting for an answer.

"Well...." Audrey started but stopped not knowing what to say, it was hard to say what she knows without worrying Cleopatra or making her afraid from her own powers.

"I don't think it's a good idea to tell you when you're like... This" she rose an eyebrow to LU and his words, she does know she's tired and not in a good state to receive any worrisome news, but her need to know what's going on within her and what's living there made her restless and edgy that in the next three days, she was violent with the guards System 0 brought to her.

She didn't want to be treated, she just wanted answers in a way or another. For her bad luck, the guards brought can't talk so she can't force an answer from them.

After those days passed and she was well enough to walk outside, she noticed the number of warriors in the village decreased drastically as if they're swallowed. She walked to a bakery to get something to eat, when she entered the baker there came out and welcomed Cleopatra and gave her the best he had as a thank you gift for what she had done for everyone.

Cleo accepted everything with a smile on her face even though the dark circles under her eyes betrayed her, luckily, the baker didn't say a thing and let that part slide assuming she was busy training.

The day passed peacefully until certain someone showed up and decided to stare at her and even follow her wherever she goes, the Romanian warrior kept walking after her without saying a word, he was like a puppy following after his master but that version after Cleo was very annoying and not cute at all.

"Can you just-?! Sigh, stop following me and go look for something else to do" she rubbed her head calming down an approachable headache. He said no word and kept staring at her with his annoying smile, she looked at him in disbelief and decided to end all that by herself with one way.

She sighed before she gathered an amount of sand under her feet, and with no other word, she teleported and left the man alone. He stared at the distance before his eye twitched from anger and his muscles tensed from stress.

"I see you failed" the Viking man laughed, "you got better ideas"

"Yea, say at least hi next time"

"I couldn't help it, she was so adorable with her chubby cheeks" the Viking man and the Mayan woman stared at him with an ugly face finding him stupid and unreasonable.

"Why are you here?" System 0 asked without rising his head from the screens in front of him, "what are you doing?"

"Working"

"On?" System 0 rose his head for a second before he looked back at the screen, he shook his head before releasing a long sigh showing his exhaustion "things none of your concern" She walked and sat beside him before she leaned her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.

System 0 was shocked and tensed at first but he then rested and leaned on her, "Dark Mana is dangerous Cleo, try to avoid using it because it'll eat you inside out each time you use it"

"How?" She asked without changing her position.

"Your heart will be eaten and at the end you'll... Sigh, just try to avoid using it until we find a way to make good use of it without harming you" he ended ending the last things between his hands, "I know you're happy to have something unstoppable but your current abilities are more than enough, don't be greedy or you'll be the only one harmed in this lost battle"

"When you stare into the abyss, the abyss will stare back at you" Cleo said making System 0 jolt then tremble from fear, "each one of us have something dark within and the only ways to deal with it is whether to run away or fight back, and I'm not someone who'd just walk away System 0 and you know that" she looked him in the eye coldly but deep can be seen the bravery and desire to do the impossible, "let me stare deep into that part deep within me System, let me fight and defeat it"
