"I hope I will never see you again." She said angrily looking at the man who had just practically "unsaved" her life.
She turned her back, "Hey!" He shouted trying to catch up to her, she walked fast trying to avoid the guy who has been following her for about 20 minutes in the forest.
She was quite nervous and scared since she doesn't even know the intention of the man, and they were alone.
"Will you please..." she slowed down as she faces the guy who was trying to catch up his breath. "...stop following me?" She added.
"Wait." The man breathed heavily as he was trying to breathe, "...it's not like I am following you." She raises her eyebrows. "Oh yeah? So what are you even doing now? You are tailing me!" She shouted once again.
"I know, I know... it's just that I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHICH WAY TO GO." He breathed heavily catching his breath once again. She scoffed, "How did you even get in here?" She asked sarcastically. She rolled her eyes, "Fine, Follow me..." she said angrily before she started to walk again.
"Thank you so much!" He shouted since he was a bit far from her.
She looked at the branches where she put a red ribbon, she likes to explore alone whenever she had her free time that's why to be able to not get lost she puts a sign on every branch that can lead her back.
"May I ask your name?" The guy asks out of the blue, she rolled her eyes without answering his question. "Am I not supposed to know that?" He asked once again but she stayed silent as if he was talking to the wind.
The man's side cheek lifted but he frowned. "How could such a beautiful girl acts this way, she was so fierce." He thought.
"How old are you?" He asked once again, no answer.
"Do you live near here?" He wanted to know just a single piece of information about her is already enough for him. "Do you perhaps go to the hoㅡ"
"Will you please stop?!" The girl shouted making him freak out. "Stop asking me some bunch of stupid questions, you know what? You have been so nosy about my life! And I am really annoyed by you, your presence alone makes me want to end my life more." Her words.
She breathed heavily but deep inside she doesn't mean any of that, she doesn't want this innocent man to enter her life, it will be harder for her to end everything if someone will suddenly appear and then leave her again.
She was just trying to be careful not to be attached to someone. The man didn't speak, Her face soften "J-just...follow me, so that you can go home." Her voice turns into a faint sound. "I'm sorry...it's just that I have a lot of things going on inside my head and Iㅡ"
"It's okay, I do understand." The man spoke. "...I didn't realize that I am making you more having a hard time, I'm sorry." He said she nod her head before she turns around feeling the guilt all over her heart.
He was hurt by her words "...your presence alone makes me want to end my life more." Her remarks lingered in his head, and he now realizes that she has been correct in saying that he should have not meddled in either of her issues or decisions. He simply forgot that he was just a stranger to this girl since he was so preoccupied with getting to know her that he kept crossing the line and asking ridiculous questions.
"Here we are." She spoke out of a blue, without both of them realizing they were both staring at each other.
She coughs a little to break eye contact. "I'm really sorry about earlier, I didn't mean to offend or raise my voice at you, and seeing me almost ending my life." She explains.
He nods his head. She smiled at him, God, the thoughts inside his head started to vanish when her small smile appears.
"I am Amelia." She raises her left hand. "I'm Ethan." He shakes her hand.
She nods her head. "I hope we'll never see each other again, please forget about me." She says
He nods his head. "Nice to meet you, Amelia." She take her hand before she went to her car and drive off. She looked in her side mirror looking at the man who was still standing there watching her leave. "Ethan." His name left out her lips.
