The meeting, he hoped, wouldn't go too long. The only things on his plate were a few pack fights, some agricultural issues, and the interdependence of the vampires. The conference may be lengthy, but he hoped it wouldn't be too much longer than that.

When Ella began to feel dizzy after being in the carriage for so long, she realized they must have arrived. At long finally....

Instantly, two guards appeared at the sides, and Spenser emerged, followed by Ella, who resembled a new wife.

After taking a deep breath, she glanced around and saw that they were in front of a massive structure. The lack of trees gave the area the appearance of an abandoned castle.

A large number of horses and soldiers were there, and Ella had no need for anybody to inform her that they belonged to the others who had likely already come.

All the guards in the area dropped on their knees and bowed deeply as Spenser began heading toward the gate. Oh….
