A Proposal

Under the bright light of the street lamps, Blake held Marissa's hand as they walked through the park. Nothing happened for around a week, he had been busy finishing all the work at the office that had been delayed before their big day.

Lately Marissa was doing okay, it's just she preferred staying at home instead of going out doing anything. Tonight Blake tried his best to persuade her to go out and she agreed.

"Are sure you don't want to go anywhere else?" Blake asked as their steps stopped.

"Hmm?" Marissa looked up. "Are you hungry?" She forgot about dinner. Earlier before going out, she thought of preparing dinner but then Blake wanted to go out. They changed their plans in the middle and came here instead.

"No no, I'm okay. I am just asking, in case you have somewhere on your mind." He smiled, clasping their fingers together.

Marissa stared at him for a few seconds before shaking her head.
