The Truth of The Night

Blake observed as a woman entered the restaurant, her identity concealed by a scarf and glasses. The intention was to meet in secret, but her conspicuous appearance would undoubtedly draw attention to her presence.

Chuckling, Blake whispered to Archer, "Take her to the private room at the end," before making his way.

As the door to the room opened, Blake lifted his gaze and saw Ivy stepping inside. "Please have a seat," he said, rising from his chair. "Thank you for agreeing to meet with me."

"Ah, yes," Ivy replied, scanning the room briefly. Her gaze settled on Archer, and she offered a slight nod in acknowledgment. "I couldn't stay for long, so Mr. Blake, I presume you received the note I left on your wife the other day," she said after taking a seat.

Their suspicion was confirmed – the note was indeed from Ivy. However, Blake had initially believed it was meant for his wife, Marissa.

"Who?" Blake asked.
