Unexpected Guest

Blake was walking wearily towards his office. He glanced at Archer, who seemed like he wanted to say something. "Is it urgent?" He checked his wrist. It was almost ten, and the consecutive meetings had drained his energy.

"It's not that urgent, but—"

"As long as it's not urgent, you can tell me tomorrow. I'll take a few minutes to rest and then go home. You can leave now," Blake said, before shifting his gaze to another staff member waiting at her table for his order. "You too...why wait if there's nothing to do?" he said, then turned towards his office.

"Wait…" Blake turned back, looking at Archer as he took a seat.

"Yes?" Archer looked startled.

"Archer…make sure the security is still here…" Blake reminded him. He wanted to ensure that the security was tightened since he put himself back in this world. Exposing himself to every danger that it could bring, he couldn't afford any loose ends.
