Chapter 32: Level 10(4)

Chapter 32: Level 10(4)

Aakesh stood in front of the altar as the boss welcomed his sight. It was still a Level 10 Silver Wolf, but the size and aura difference was entirely different.

The wolf in front of Aakesh was smaller than other Level 10 wolves he had come across till this point in the dungeon. Standing in front of it, Aakesh felt he was standing in front of an extremely dangerous creature.

Standing up, the wolf examined the intruder. Its eyes seemed to have intelligence in them, and soon they turned into a mocking expression.

The next moment, the wolf charged at Aakesh. If it were before distributing his points, Aakesh would have only seen a blur in place of the wolf, but now that his movement and attack speed were both exceeding 50, he could see the wolf coming at him.

Aakesh had only thought of slashing his sword when his hands acted and slashed. Even though he was taken aback by the quick movement, the wolf was even more shocked. It didn't expect the intruder to be even quicker than it.

The wolf saw the slash coming at it, and it dodged skillfully. Aakesh understood that his attack was earlier than it should have been, making it easy for the wolf to evade.

The wolf suddenly backed away, as it was an intelligent beast. It understood that the other party was quicker, so it needed to end the battle before it got caught by the intruder.

The next moment, its size began to shrink while its claws began to grow in size. In less than the blink of an eye, the wolf's size had reduced to two-thirds of its original size, while a metallic light had shrouded all its front claws.

The wolf's movement was even quicker as it charged at Aakesh with its claws, aiming to rip Aakesh into pieces. Aakesh brought his sword to defend himself before the claws could reach him.

The next moment, a battle of speed took place as both parties wanted to hit the other one.

The end finally arrived, as Aakesh turned out to be the quicker and stronger party.

[You have gained 100 XP!]

Aakesh gasped for breath as he stood after the battle ended. In front of him was a scroll, waiting for him to pick it up.

After seeing the scroll, all physical fatigue disappeared, and Aakesh bent down to pick it up.

Aakesh almost dropped his jaw to the ground as he read the skill on the scroll.

"Another Advanced skill," Aakesh couldn't help but murmur in shock, not knowing that it was only a mid-tier reward the adventurer could get from soloing it.

Every dungeon had set a fixed amount of rewards for the first solo clear. For those rewards, there was a list of items, ranging from low in value to high value.

For the Normal level of difficulty, the weakest item was the knife Aakesh got in the Easy level of difficulty, while the most valuable item was a wolf summoning whistle. It would have given him an additional partner for the battle.

But since Aakesh didn't know it, he celebrated getting another Advanced skill.

Every dungeon allowed a player to clear it a maximum of three times in a day, so Aakesh didn't stop there and cleared the Normal level difficulty two more times.

Aakesh needed more than six thousand XP for leveling up again, so he didn't level up despite clearing the dungeon twice more, but it helped Aakesh reach the limit.

To clear that limit, Aakesh cleared the easy level difficulty two more times, and as he killed the boss wolf of his third entry into the dungeon, a gentle female voice told him he had leveled up.

From previous encounters, Aakesh had noticed the benefits of exceeding the 50 mark, so for the new four free attribute points he got, he added two points to his strength, while adding one point each to intelligence and endurance.

After the change, his status panel looked like this,

His HP was below 200 while his MP was just above 200 since he had been clearing dungeons nonstop.

Aakesh felt that he was finally ready to clear the tough level difficulty, but since his HP was running lower than he wanted, Aakesh decided to do some other quests during the recovery time and reach as close to leveling up as possible before entering the dungeon.

Time flew by, and several hours passed in a flash.

Aakesh wasn't the only adventurer in this world, there were around a billion of them in Panagea, and every hour, new people from earth were joining the game, due to bank offers.

"Let's hope this investment turns out correct," Alex mumbled as he wore the virtual helmet.

There were many like Alex who couldn't afford virtual helmets or watches, but they still wanted to enter the game, so they used the interest-free loan from the bank.

At the same time, some people were forced to enter the gaming world by their companies.

Kenta Oogawa was one such adventurer. Before the launch of the game, he was working in a popular game company and was a team leader.

But the sudden arrival of Myth Online changed everything. It was not only the first VRMMORPG, but it also contained some technologies that were years ahead of what the current technologies could offer.

Aakesh's HP had finally crossed the 250 mark, so he decided to enter the tough level difficulty.
