Smart cooperation.
"How is the negotiation going?" Kevin asked.
Seb took a deep breath before shaking his head. "We lost out," he answered
Kevin nodded his head, it seemed he had expected the outcome. "What of the warmer girls?" Kevin asked.
"They have both returned to school," Seb said. He knew the minute the negotiations failed that the boss would remember the source of the problem. Back then, Kevin had been satisfied with Mr Warmer's performance. He was brilliant, so he planned to promote him from a secretary, to the manager of one of his night club.
To test his ability, Kevin had allowed him to lead the team to negotiate cooperation between the club and one of the biggest casinos in the world. Kevin was planning to expand the club. He was unaware that Mr Warmer had changed camp. He sold the business proposal to their biggest competertator, Kevin's third partner.
When they had gone for the bid, Smart cooperation was embarrassed. Mr Warmer also managed to hide his trace at the beginning. During the investigation, he made another bold move, and Kevin almost lost his life, but this time his crime was exposed. Kevin was always meticulous. One may get away with betraying him once, not the second time.
When Mr Warmer discovered he was exposed, he tried to escape. This time Kevin did not bother to follow legal procedure, he used his underground force and wanted to capture him, but Mr Warmer had an unfortunate accident.
Kevin tried to salvage the situation, and although he was able to prove the fact that Smart cooperation did not copy the proposal of the other company, they lost the partnership
"You can't assure the safety of oppression," the casino boss said. And so they lost a deal worth a few billion. So, of course, The warmer family should not have a peaceful life.
"That one wants to be my assistant, right?" He asked. Seb did not open his mouth to answer. He looked at the man opposite him.
"Let her come for an interview tomorrow," he said. When Seb heard this, he opened his mouth to ask a question, but he swallowed it. He was scared that if he said anything, he might suffer.
"Leave," Kevin said when he saw that Seb was still seated. He knew back then that Mr Warmer was not trustworthy, but seeing how much he cared about his daughter, he thought he would never dare betray them because of his family. After all, he had loaned him a large amount of money to save his daughter. Who knew that, sometimes, Greed could be more substantial than love?
When Seb heard he could leave, he jumped out of the office like a criminal that received amnesty. When he got outside, the other team members were waiting.
"What did he say," One person asked. They had cast a vote and sent Seb to deliver the news.
"Nothing," Seb replied. When the other team members heard this, they took a deep breath as long as they did not lose their Jobs.
"Then I will return to my office," the other people return to their office. Meanwhile, Seb called the HR director.
"Mr Thomas," Seb called out.
"Sir," Mr Thomas answered. Everyone in the company feared and respected Seb, after all, he was second only to the president.
"How many applicants are there for the position of secretary?" Seb asked.
Mr Thomas did not expect the question, he cast his gaze on his secretary. The secretary immediately checked.
"Fifty," Mr Thomas answered.
"Then send a message to the qualified candidate to come for a written interview tomorrow. Don't forget, Miss Whitney Warmer must be on that list," Seb said.
"I understand," MR Thomas answered before he ended the call. Mr Thomas did not understand what was unique about an undergraduate student. Why was the special assistant so interested in giving her a chance? He wanted to ask, but he did not dare.
Everybody knew that Seb was the mouthpiece of the boss. Who would dare question him? After receiving the call, Mr Thomas went straight to sorting out the application.
Out of the fifty persons, only twenty-two people were chosen, and he immediately sent out an invitation for an interview. He looked at Whitney's application, if he had not received a call from Seb, she would not have scaled through the first phase.
When he saw the name of her school, he realised that his daughter also attended the same school. He was curious, so he took his phone and called her.
"Daddy," Samantha was surprised that her dad took time off work to call her. He only called her if he missed her call.
"How is my princess doing," Mr Thomas asked. He was proud of his daughter and could not wait for her to graduate so that he could help her secure a job at Smart cooperation.
"I am doing fine," Samantha replied. She was still worried about how to prove her innocence to Jonathan. After all, the person lying was Whitney.
"Do you know a classmate called Whitney Warmer?" He went straight to the point. When Samantha heard this question, her heart skipped a beat. She did not know why her father would suddenly ask of her.
"Yes, why?" Samantha asked. She wondered if Whitney dared to apply for a job at Smart cooperation. Since they were yet to graduate, could it be that she wanted to be a cleaner? Thinking in this direction, Samantha could not help but smile.
After all, the cleaner at Smart cooperation earns more than the cleaners of other companies. Moreover, one would have first-hand information working at the company to know if there is a job opening and apply.
"I am looking at her resume. She seems to be an intelligent student. I want to know what you think of her?" Mr Thomas said. He just wanted to know the person the boss was opening a back door for.
When Samantha heard the question, she wanted to say all manner of bad things about her, but thinking of the situation in school earlier, she was at a loss. " But Dad, you told me there was no part-time slot in the company?" she avoided the question.
"That's right," Mr Thomas answered. When Samantha heard how serious his voice was, she felt that she was wrong about Whitney wanting to be a cleaner. After all, as the HR director, he could not personally deal with those applications when he had a few subordinates.
" What post did she apply for?" Samantha asked.
"The president's secretary," Mr Thomas answered. He knew his daughter was wise and knew what to say and not say
When Samantha heard this, she was surprised, "She has bad behaviour; all she does all day is seduce the boys in our class. She is also rude. Dad, you must throw away her application. Forget her good grades. There are many people with good grades. I fear that if you employ her, she might anger Mr Smart. What if he feels you did not do your job correctly, " Samantha spoke without thinking.
" Stay away from her. She might not be that simple, " Mr Thomas said. He had known his daughter since she was born. How could he not realise that she was jealous? How can a girl who seduces men all day long have good results?
" Why? " Samantha did not expect her father to warn her instead. She even forgot that she wanted to prove her innocent to Jonathan and said so many bad things about Whitney
"I don't know her relationship with the president's special assistant. So do not offend her," Mr Thomas stressed. He was scared that if he did not warn her, she might do something stupid. When Samantha heard this, she was shocked. "No," She could not accept the fact that Whitney had someone better backing her. "Could this be related to Jonathan?" She wondered
