Ignorant.

After Class that day, Jonathan went to the library to read. Meanwhile, Whitney decided to go home. On her way towards the gate, she ran into Randy.

"Whitney," he called out to her. He had been washing her since the last class

"Randy," Whitney had a smile on her face, but when she saw the look on Randy's face, she was stunned.

"Are you together with Jonathan?" Randy went straight to the point.

Whitney was shocked at his question, they were a bit close when they were freshmen, and he even helped her when she needed a part-time job. After she got the job, she was a bit busy, so they had less interaction. Now suddenly questioning her about her private life, Whitney was surprised.

"No," she replied. She was not dating Jonathan and did not seem to have a reason to lie about something that simple.

"You should not date him. Otherwise, Samantha would make life difficult for you," Randy advised sincerely, even if he knew it was for selfish reasons.

If Whitney were together with a person like Jonathan, he would be able to protect her from Samantha, but he liked her. He could not push her another.

Whitney was surprised by his warning, but she felt he was right. When Samantha took the initiative to say hello, earlier whitney thought that she was up to no good. "Thank you, I have no plans of dating anyone now," Whitney said. She felt he came to warn her because he still considered her a friend. So she was grateful to him

"Then you should find a way to put an end to the rumours," Randy was happy to hear her reply. He felt that he might have misunderstood her, so as long as the rumours were taken care of, he would have a good chance in the future.

"What would you have me do? Do you think anyone would believe me if I said we are just friends," Whitney asked. Even if she did not have anything to do with Jonathan, no one would believe her; it might lead to some unpleasant rumours.

"You don't have to say anything. As long as you are not so close to him, the rumour will die down," Randy replied. He could not stand her being so close to Jonathan.

"What do you mean close to him? We are not close," Whitney shook her head. She did not consider sharing a seat meant they were close.

When Randy heard her, he could not help but have a bitter smile. He felt that Whitney was too ignorant. Back then, he had become close to her because he liked her, but the girl treated him as a friend. Now she could not even tell that Jonathan was treating her differently

"Not close? Yet you left in his car yesterday, and he kept a seat next to himself today," Randy said. He hoped that Whitney would realise what he meant.

"What do you mean? He only dropped me at the bus station yesterday because it was along the way, and what made you think he kept the seat, especially for me?" Whitney felt that they were overly imaginative.

When Randy heard her giving reasonable excuse, he could not help but shake his head. "Then why do you think the rumours are going around?" He asked.

"How should I know? It's not my fault they judge me with their dirty eyes," Whitney said. When Randy asked the question, she only realised why there was so much unreasonable news. As far as she was concerned, she had not done anything that crossed the line with Jonathan.

Randy was rendered speechless by her response. Indeed, Whitney and Jonathan had not done anything that should make them conclude they were in a relationship.

"Since, you know, many people have dirty eyes, you should not do things that would lead to a misunderstanding," Randy said after thinking for a while. He still felt it was too dangerous for Whitney to be close to Jonathan. What if she falls for him?

"Oh, then why did you stop me here? Are you not afaird people with dirty eyes would say that you snatched me from Jonathan?" Whitney asked. "Or should I close my eyes and walk simply because a few people think it is big?" She asked.

"I am saying this for your good, Samantha is not easy to deal with," Randy said. He realised that he would not be able to convince her if he continued in that direction.

"I am not afaird of her. Her father is just the HR director, not the owner of the entire country," Whitney declared. When Randy heard this, he was surprised. He knew that Whitney wanted to join Smart cooperation after graduation. If she offered the daughter of the HR director, she might be closing the part to her future.

"Don't you want to work in Smart cooperation anymore?" He asked. He was beginning to think that Whitney was aware of Jonathan's family background.

"Her father is the HR of Smart cooperation, not the president. If I have the ability, I don't believe they can stop me," Whitney said. Although her voice sounded confident, she did not want to show her weakness

She had long let go of her thought to work Smart cooperation. In a few weeks, she might even be thrown into the ring. What is the point of being scared?

When Randy heard her, he felt that she was confident because she was naive. Even a cleaner might be able to stop you from getting a job. Talk more of the HR director. Although he thought this, he said something else. "As long as you are confident'," He did not have the mind to tell her the truth. He felt that being ignorant and confident had its charm. Anyway, Whitney was brilliant and Smart cooperation was not the only good company in the country

Whitney smiled when she heard him, knowing there was a chance she would not graduate. She had nothing to fear. Furthermore, Jonathan offered to help her she would be a fool to push him away because of some rumours or Samantha.

When Randy saw her like this, he could not help but smile bitterly. He felt that his decision to stay away was wrong now that she was yet to confirm her relationship with Jonathan. He should take the chance to get closer.
