Mystery of the System

As he blended in with the crowd at the Exchange Gathering, Zhou Jie went stone-faced, his previously brash demeanor nowhere to be found.

'It seems like he didn't take the bait. Are you sure that guy has a system, too?' he thought.

{Most definitely. And I'm sure it's that weakest system, the Friend System!}

In response to his inner thoughts, a high-pitched, sinister voice sounded inside his head. Like Bestie had guessed, Zhou Jie indeed had a system, as well as an accompanying administrator.

{It's strange, though. Usually those that get a system are much more arrogant and hot-headed,} the administrator mused, {He should have had more of a reaction than that.}

They had previously planned on provoking Ryker into a fight, to get a sense of his strength. What they hadn't expected was for him to laugh the whole thing off without a care.

'Was that supposed to be an insult?' Zhou Jie thought with a wry smile.
