Just as the tension between Long Meiling and this mysterious young woman was about to reach a climax, the young man who accompanied her stepped forward with an easygoing look, gesturing grandly at Ryker who was standing off to the side.

"Fellow Daoist Long, you still haven't introduced us to the man of the hour," he said, prompting Long Meiling to break her standoff with the other young woman and bow respectfully to him.

"This servant apologizes for her thoughtlessness," she said, before looking over at Ryker.

"Ryker, this is His Imperial Highness, Crown Prince Ji Han, as well as Her Highness, Princess Ji Ning, of the Great Zhou Empire."

Ryker bowed in salute, unsure of the etiquette required when addressing members of the royal family. Ji Han, on the other hand, let out a clear, ringing laugh, saluting Ryker in return.
