Hearing this grave news, Ryan quickly went to Lawson to buy groceries and supplies for his next plan. While he was walking through the bustling streets of Shinjuku, he noticed many KGB and Soviet troops standing guard everywhere. Noticing that these were not the usual Soviet conscripts and gulag "volunteers" they all had vigilant and stone-cold faces.; these were Soviet elite VDV and Spetnaz units. On the corner of the street, near the alleys, he even saw a T-14 parked with its hatches open and carelessly concealed with a camo net draped over it. He heard whimpers from the alley as he entered Lawson, a female KGB agent suddenly came up to him and said "Do I know you American? I seem to have had seen you somewhere comrade, you remind me of my old lover in the battle of Volgograd, sadly I never saw him" in a heavy Soviet accent.
"Comrade, we seem to have served together in the 78th MP corps. I am enjoying Japan and all it has to offer.," lied Ryan. "It has been a long time since we last met but I need to get going as I have something important to do. Hail Stalin!"
"Hail Stalin and the people, may we meet again comrade," said the KGB agent, a trace of doubt appearing on her face before it quickly went away due to her excitement from meeting an old comrade.
After Ryan was finished selecting his groceries, he went to the counter to purchase his items. The old man at the counter looked at him as if he had seen Ryan before.
"Young people these days are sure adventurous," he said; glancing at the twenty packs of jerky and five flashlights on the counter. He coughed and rasped, "You should stay home and be safe, I have a feeling that the storm is coming."
Puzzled at the comments of the old man, Ryan quickly thanked the old man, gave him a slight bow, and quickly returned to his safe house. Upon arriving home, he quickly took out his briefcase with his plans; the reason he lived in Japan for the last 8 years. His goal was to infiltrate the Kremlin to find out Stalin's secret plans.
However, due to the war, Moscow was on the lock down and the only way in was by sneaking in through the miliary as no civilians were permitted to enter Moscow. If he had sneaked in by ground, other troops would quickly figure out the abnormalities in him and would quickly dispatch him. His plan was to go to a former American base in Hokkaido where Soviet SU-57s were parked. Knock out a pilot while he was on the way to his plane, steal his plane and enter Moscow with the rest of the unit as their unit's planes were long overdue for repairs and the pilots were scheduled for a holiday in Moscow. Being a former F18 pilot, Ryan was selected for this task as he was one of the few rare people who have flown a SU-57.
