IT'S GOING TO BE FINE

Eva was silent for a while.

"We want to marry each other."

Those words... She could still hear in her ear. What Gordon said earlier really surprised her. She had never seen a sign that her mother wanted to get married again all this time.

If her mother is married, that is a sign of replacing the special place that was once owned by her father. 'Has mom forgotten dad? Doesn't it look like that? Still, is it wrong for mom to start a new life? ' A lot of questions began to appear inside Eva's mind right now.

She is aware that the desire to fill the void in the heart is one of human nature. So it was normal for her mother to feel like wanting a man by her side to complete her heart. So, does she as a daughter deserves to rebel?

Eva now looked at her mother who was still bowed in embarrassment. Since then, she did not know how many times she looked at Uncle Gordon and her mother alternately as if not believing what she heard.

'I never thought that in silence mom found a replacement for dad. What reaction should I give? But, if this can make mom happy, do I need to forbid it? ' Eva is thinking deeply right now. She never thought that one day she needs to face this kind of situation.

Gordon just watched and waited for the girl to speak up. He was ready for whatever the girl's reaction was. He also won't give up if Eva is also like Dylan, who doesn't approve of his relationship with Edith.

Seeing Eva's silence, Edith held her daughter's hand gently. She knew a lot of issues were playing in this girl's mind at the time.

Eva closed her eyes for a while as if to gather the strength to speak.

"Mom, do you like and want to marry Uncle Gordon?"

Edith was startled by the question that suddenly popped up. She didn't think Eva would ask such a question in addition to the question being asked in front of Gordon. It's too embarrassing for her to answer. Naturally, she had never spoken too openly about her feelings to the man before.

Gordon also seemed to be waiting for an answer from her right now because the answer was a very important certainty for both of them. A marriage can't be intact without affection.

'The question now is, does she like Gordon? ' Edith started to ask herself. If it wasn't for love, she wouldn't want to marry the man, right?

"Why did you ask me that question, Eva?" Edith tries to avoid the question with a question.

Gordon's face was a little hollow. He hoped Edith would answer that question.

"Mom," Eva said firmly. "If you don't answer, I will never agree. Do you really like Uncle Gordon? " Eva repeated her question.

Edith then looked at Gordon.

Eva is still faithfully waiting for her mother's answer. Edith knew Eva would not leave the question unanswered. She finally just nodded, acknowledging her feelings.

Gordon finally smiled because he finally knew what had been hidden in Edith's heart.

Eva went silent again. Her brain is still thinking deeply. Try to be rational in everything.

"Do you not like it when we get married?" Gordon finally opened his mouth, asking impatiently.

Eva sighed a little. Edith and Gordon began to look at each other. In their hearts, they began to wonder about the meaning of the sigh that the girl issued.

A small smile finally appeared on Eva's face. She has made up her mind. No matter what the feeling in her heart, she decides to just let it pass. Her mother's feelings must be taken care of first. That is the most important.

"There is no reason for me to stop this marriage if it will make my mother happy. Mom, if you are happy, I will be happier. "

Gordon seemed unable to believe the words the girl uttered. He did not think that Eva could think maturely unlike his son who was constantly rebelling.

"Do you agree?" Gordon wants more confirmation.

Eva nodded. For some reason, after agreeing, her heart was stirred for no reason. It's true, maybe she's not completely sincere, but, she will never run anything that will make her mother happy.

"I agree, as long as uncle promises that uncle will do your best to make my mother happy," said Eva while looking at her mother.

'It's going to be fine.' Eva persuaded her heart.

Edith looked at her daughter with so much affection. Her heart was touched by this girl.

About Gordon and this marriage, Edith, herself did not know how she felt at that time. Indeed, her heart is still divided with Gordon, but for some reason, she feels happy with what happened. She knew it was the beginning of a new life to come.

But, she can't help to question, will she be happy living next to Gordon after all this? While she did still feel happy with the memories James left behind.

Can she go through this second marriage?

That question can only be asked to herself.

Easy to give...

But not easy to be done.
