THE DAY IS COMING

"Where did Aunty Moon go?" Gordon's eyes began to dart looking for Aunty Moon who was not in the kitchen.

He paced the living room holding back the uneasiness in his heart. No matter what happens, that one plan cannot fail. Tonight will see the first meeting between Edith and her son, Dylan. On the one hand, he wants every plan to be perfect enough and flawless.

"Abby, did you see Aunty Moon?" Feeling restless, Gordon began to ask anyone his eyes could see, and unfortunately, Abby becomes his victim, again.

Abby, one of the maids who came to work there only during the day began to be puzzled by her master's question. In a house of this size, Aunty Moon alone cannot manage everything, so, many other maids are hired but do not live there like Aunty Moon.

"Sorry, sir. I don't know where Aunty Moon is. " Abby said a little nervously. Gordon has been bothering her a lot ever since and her answer is also the same each time.

Gordon didn't look like himself that day. Today is very important for him. He wanted to make sure everything was in order. People who are perfectionists like him seem to be hard to satisfy. As long as his eyes do not see perfection, his heart will never be satisfied.

"Is it true that all the kitchen items have been purchased? Nothing less? " Gordon asked again. His restlessness at that time was unspeakable.

"Yes, sir. Everything is in order. " Also, this isn't the first time she answered this question and not the first time Gordon asked the same question.

"All right. If you see Aunty Moon, tell me quickly. I need to speak to her."

"Understood, sir. Excuse me. " Didn't want to be questioned any longer, Abby quickly walked away.

Just as Gordon was about to leave the area, his eyes continued to catch a glimpse of Aunty Moon. The old woman entered the house with a container full of vegetables. He was relieved to see her even though every ten minutes he asked for a 'report' from the old woman.

"Aunty Moon, where did you go? I can't find you anywhere. Also... Where did you get all this? "

"I took it near the back of the house. You said I can grow vegetables on vacant land there. Now all these vegetables are big and can be eaten. " Aunty Moon began to look at Gordon with a strange look.

Ever since then, her name has been called the man repeatedly. When she was just about to feel calm with her work, a few minutes later the man's voice echoed again. Since she was used to Gordon's attitude, she never felt hurt. It's just... It's quite annoying now.

"You planted all this? Since when? " Gordon asked, but seemingly didn't care about the answer.

Of course, even if the house was his, he would not notice whatever changes took place. The back of his house is also rarely visited. He is too busy with his work. The most recognizable part of the house is the bedroom alone. For a long time, all that was on his mind was mere work until his office had become like his real home.

"Is everything enough? There are no things to add more? "

Aunty Moon finally sighed a little. The same question again comes out of Gordon's mouth.

"You don't have to worry. Everything is ready, I just need to start cooking. " Aunty Moon continued to walk quickly into the kitchen leaving Gordon there.

She was also a little worried that she didn't have time to prepare what the man asked for dinner later as she hadn't cooked for the crowd for a long time. In silence, Gordon followed her from behind.

"Thank you, Aunty Moon. You helped me a lot. " Gordon felt a little guilty. Not because he didn't believe in the old woman, but because his overly curious attitude was really hard to change.

"It's fine. You are already like my own child. After all, I cook for my future daughter-in-law, right? "

Gordon smiled broadly. He was happy to hear the word 'daughter-in-law'. He even wonders, if his parents were still alive would they feel as happy as Aunty Moon? But, deep in the corner of his heart, he was confident that his parents would be happy too, and maybe even more so. With Edith's personality which is very pleasant, surely anyone will fall in love with her.

"All right. I went into my room first. If there is anything later, just call me. "

Gordon finally calmed down and left Aunty Moon there. He no longer wanted to delay the old woman's work. It's enough that he's been messing around ever since. His heart hopes that hopefully after meeting Edith tonight Dylan will be soft-hearted to accept more openly about his wedding plans.

is better than...

being too perfectionist with full doubt and never getting to the finish line.
