Chapter 6

Tina gave a sad smile as she stretched her hand across the table to hold Bridget's hands. Since they were little, the brave one among the two of them had always been Bridget. Seeing her getting all emotional was something she wasn't used to. She didn't know what to say at the moment, but she still had to say something to comfort her broken friend. squeezing her hands she said.

"It's fine Bridget, I understand you and I don't blame you for your actions and decisions. I don't blame you for anything at all. I am just really glad you are doing okay now, that's all that matters. You are fine, I am fine and plus we're here together again.... okay?" Tina smiled. This time not a sad one but a happy one.

Bridget returned the smile, glad she was relieved of her guilt. Andrew who was in-between them coughed, drawing the attentions of the girls back to him. He was a bit unsure and needed clarification, so he asked.

"So I assume you both are close friends?"

"Yes, very close friends. she is the Bridget I always tell you about, remember?" Tina reminded him. His thoughts were right after all.

"Of course I remember, you speak of her almost all the time, even in my dreams!" Andrew huffed, making the girls laugh. He wondered how he was not able to match all the pieces together and realize he has been friends with Tina friend all this while.

The trio chatted for over an hour, exchanging notes on their lives -especially Tina and Bridget- while enjoying their meals.

They had finished their meals and were silently waiting for their meals to settle properly before Bridget spoke.

"umm...since I have nothing to do through the rest of the day, why don't we go pack Tina's bags from your house Drew, to mine." Bridget suggested. She has been thinking of what she would use the rest of her day doing as she has never gotten this much free time, before this idea popped up.

"That's a great idea, except that I still have some work to do"

"When I said 'We', I meant me and Tina. You are always busy Drew, so I don't expect you to tag along" Andrew almost laughed, was he really busy or was Bridget just exaggerating, he wondered.

Fine... here's my key in case Alice isn't at home" The girls rolled their eyes at the mention of Alice as Andrew handed the key. Bridget collected the key and smiled sweetly at him which Andrew returned it back.

Tina who was watching them didn't find this normal and couldn't help but ask "Do you two like each other?" of all things they talked about they did not discuss anything related to this and now Tina wanted to know.

"Why, does it matter, he already has Alice" Bridget mumbled under her breath, but the two people beside her didn't miss it. It was getting a little awkward.

Andrew cleared his throat and excused himself. "sorry girls, I have to head back now, will catch up later"

"Okay" Tina replied. He had definitely evaded that question, but no problem, Tina had other ways to make him talk, maybe some other time.

Soon after, the girls headed out too, driving all the way to Andrew's house. On reaching there, as assumed, Alice wasn't at home. Thank goodness. They quickly packed and headed to Bridget's home. It was their family home, but since no one is longer there, Bridget lived alone.

They arrived in no time. They unpacked the luggages from the car to the house. Tina love the way the house was big and classy and stylish. The part she loved the most was the balcony and the mini bar in the kitchen.

They were about to rest before they received a call from Andrew telling Bridget to come back to the company, Bridget was to go alone but Tina didn't want to stay alone in the house so she tagged along.

They hurried back immediately. On getting there, All staffs were aligned in the biggest building waiting for somebody Tina learnt was the CEO. They quickly joined the others.

In no time, Everyone heard the sounds of car engines soaring. Soon after, they saw rays of body guards walking towards them and in the middle, the CEO.

The moment Tina set her eyes on him,she screamed within "My Dream Man!"
