MEGAN'S POV

At this moment I was fuming. Apparently, my sister had decided to send the bodyguard home without her, and as much as we tried to get him to tell us where he was, we didn't get anything out of him. If something was clear to me, it is they will do what we tell them.

It was five in the morning, and I was worried about what could happen to my sister for not showing up at home at this time. I just hope the Russians didn't get her because of her stubbornness in not wanting to have a bodyguard with her. Times like this is when I wanted to kill her.

"You should calm down, I'm sure he's fine." Murmured Diego from the other sofa "I can't calm down if I don't have the slightest idea where my sister is. I can't understand how you can be so calm." I looked out the window to see if I could see her anywhere, but no, and it made me even more pissed off.

"Because I know what your sister is like, and she won't let them do anything to her. What's more, it's too complicated for them to do anything to her, she's too intelligent, with great intuition and training. Do you really think something could happen to her?" he said, but he didn't have to tell me any of that, in the end I already knew. That doesn't mean I don't care about her, because I know better than anyone how she is when something really upsets her, and what Dimitri said seemed to have that effect.

"She might have all that, but the Russians are out there and if anything happens to her, I swear I'll kill her myself the moment I find her." I turned to him with my arms crossed. "It's going to be fine, calm down." Diego got up and came to my side "I don't have the luxury of being able to be as calm as you are right now."

"I'm not as calm as I appear. Better, why don't you tell me something?" I raised an eyebrow, because if anything he seemed calm, but I figured he was good at masking his feelings. "What do you want me to tell you?" I asked, "Something of what the Russian rat said."

I kept looking at him for a couple of minutes, because I hadn't the slightest idea of what I could know about something was said in there, what's more, I haven't the slightest idea of most of the things. "There are many things he said I have no idea but ask."

"He said something about her taking all the beatings for you. What was he referring to? he asked, and that was one of the few things I could answer. "Didn't she tell you?" I asked surprised, because as far as I knew, she had told him a lot about what had happened in there.

"She didn't tell me much, just the basics I must assume, that you were locked up somewhere, you managed to escape and both Francesco and Analissa welcomed you." I nodded, because it was the basics "That and Alison. But what he said is true." I said, "I don't understand." I went to the sofa to sit down and get comfortable a bit, this was not a conversation that I liked to have, and it was not something Ale and I talked about, we had never done it.

"I remember we were in a room like ten girls, and I don't know, from the beginning, we kind of connected. We supported each other and shared a story like the part she told me at the time. I remember when they came for me after they gave me a beating I couldn't get up for a week, she always stopped them from doing anything to me, or at least whenever she was there. I must admit, from that day on, clients, as they called them, treated me better." I said, "Do you think she had something to do with it?" I nodded, because I'm more than clear she had something to do with it.

"I'm sure it had everything to do with it. I don't know what deal she made with the Russians, but that's what she did." He stared at me for a couple of seconds without understanding too much "And she never told you?" I denied

"No, but I know full well something had to have been done. Also, from then on, she was the one who was the worst, and despite the fact I asked her millions of times she didn't have to, she didn't have to take my place, Ale never stopped doing it, it's as if she didn't listen to anything I said to her."

"She did it because she loves you." He said putting her hand on my knee "I know, but she was the one who got worse. I can bet one day they almost killed her from the beating they gave her." Diego's face made it more than clear to me he had no idea about it, and I am completely sure Ale wouldn't tell anyone "Was it so bad?" he asked in a whisper, and I nodded.

"I think it was the first time since I was there, I saw what those animals were capable of. From that day we decided to train ourselves to get out of there, it was the best we could do." I said with a small smile "And you did it." I nodded. "I still don't really know how we did it. I was too afraid of what would happen to us if we were caught. We even had to hit Stefan on the way."

"You are the strongest women I know, really. I see you as my little sisters, and you can be sure I will not let anyone do anything to you, they will have to step over my corpse first." I put my hand over his and rested my head on his shoulder. Now I understood why Ale felt so comfortable with him, he was easy to talk to.

"I can see why Alexandra trusts you the way she does. You are a good listener." I said "Well, I'll be there whenever you need me. Even if all you want to do is scream or cry." Just when I was going to answer him, Alexandra appears at the door and I must say, with a smile on her face, which isn't I'm happy, I am, but considering how she was a couple of hours ago, it seems strange to me. Apparently, she was so deep in her thoughts she starts heading upstairs, until I stop her.

"Really, Ale? Couldn't you have the bodyguard with you until you came home?" I said, getting up from the couch and going over to her, "No, I didn't need him. Now if you let me, I'm going to change and, in a while, we'll meet with everyone." For a moment I had forgotten about it, and I know I would regret later I didn't get some sleep, not that I could have if I tried.

"Shit... I forgot." I whispered "Well, I'm here to remind you, now if you let me..." And with that, she went upstairs without letting us say anything else. Really, it's moments like these when I hate Alexandra the most, no matter how much I love her, she always does what she wants.

"What was that?" Diego asked a couple of steps away "I have no idea, but she seemed happier than when she left the office." I half whispered, but it was true and strange at the same time "Do you think she has a boyfriend out there she doesn't want to tell us about?" I couldn't help but laugh, because if there was something Ale couldn't stand, it was having a man too close to her, she always tensed up as soon as someone was less than five meters from her.

"Who? Alexandra? I doubt it, if there's something she doesn't do, it's trust men." I said once I could stop laughing "But you both have that problem." I turned to look at him, and Diego had his arms crossed with a small smile on his face "Yes, but believe me, she's much worse than me."

"So, can I tell you something without you getting mad?" and that simple phrase already made me frown. "Why would I get angry?" I asked, "Taking into account how you reacted the moment you saw them..." he said without finishing saying what was going through his mind, but I could get a slight idea of what he was talking about "What are you talking about?" I still asked to make sure that was what we were talking about.

"Do you remember when Ale showed up this morning with that man?" he asked "Yeah, what about him?" I didn't understand what that was about. If I got angry, it's because one, Ale doesn't like having a man around her and I see it as difficult for her to like having at least one out of nowhere, she would have told me if that was the case, and two, I didn't trust anyone who was too close to my sister.

"Well, it can be seen he has a crush on your sister..." I took a breath, surprised by what Diego had said. It didn't make sense, the boy didn't know her at all, let alone Alexandra, but, on the other hand, most of the guys at the university do. "So what? Lots of people are."

"But I think she may have feelings for him too." I started to laugh, but when I saw he was serious, I stopped and stared at him for a couple of seconds. "Why do you say that?" I asked, because I hadn't had that feeling.

"I don't know, since I've known her, I haven't seen her so close to a guy, let alone crying and hugging her." I thought for a moment, and I had to agree with him. It was already strange she cried in front of us and that she let us hug her as if nothing had happened, only Alison and I have that privilege "It's true... So, you think..." I asked her, unable to finish the sentence "I don't know, but I would like to know."

"Then we do something, you will be in charge of investigating what my sister is doing and everything about that guy. If there's a chance she has feelings for that guy, I want to make sure she doesn't do anything to my sister." A smile appeared on Diego's face, who ended up crossing his arms "Wow, how overprotective." He said and I snorted. I know I am, no one needed to tell me.

"It's the least I can do after everything she did for me in there, and besides, I don't want her or my niece to suffer, so I'll do everything in my power to avoid it." Diego nodded "I'll help you with that." I couldn't help but smile, I'm sure Diego could help me with many more things related to Ale "We can really get along." I told him.

"Did you expect anything else, darling? As soon as he said that last thing, I couldn't help a murderous look appear on my face, I didn't like that kind of words, it reminded me of when we were at the club, and I wanted those memories to remain as buried as possible.

"What did you just call me?" I asked him, making it clear I didn't like what he had said "What you heard, and before you start like your sister did in her day, I'm not going to call you anything else. Of course, I won't do it in front of the people who work for you." She said, "You work for us too I remember you." He nodded "I know, but I'm different from the others."

In that, Alexandra comes down already changed and with her smile on her face. She went to the garden, and we headed to our bedrooms to change for whatever my sister wants to do at this time of the morning. When we got there, all the bodyguards were already there, so both I and Diego stood next to Ale, looking at those who looked like they didn't understand anything.

"Very good, I am glad to see you are punctual, but what matters to me at this moment is to tell you what you have to do. That doesn't mean I'm going to tell you how you must do your job, because you will know better than anyone. What I mean is the steps you must follow, because even though we are a mafia, it doesn't mean I want everyone to find out this mafia is still standing. To begin with, whenever we go out for anything other than bodyguard work, you will wear a bulletproof vest, even if you are watching the house. If my sister and I have learned anything over the years, it's workers like you believe a lot and nothing can defeat them, and the last thing we want is for you to die. Second, you will use silencers, always, but especially in the house. Third, do not leave evidence on a corpse, the slightest failure in that, and I kill you myself and last based on training, every day you will have to train, I don't give a damn you are the best, here you train. Obviously, you will do it in turns while some watch the house, the others will train and it can be said you will have work shifts. Any doubt on this?"

They all nodded, and it can be said the Alexandra that I had right now in front of my nose was very different from the one at the meeting with the partners, so I suppose what happened to her while she was away must have been quite Well.

"Okay, now, the organizational part and the one we all hate. Diego will be the one in charge of directing the security of this house, and if you need anything, you can contact him or us. My sister and I will be the bosses as you must know. Another thing you should know is in this house there is a little girl who has no idea what I do and that has to continue like this, so inside the house you will not have your weapons in sight unless extreme case. If my daughter sees a single weapon inside the house, you will end up in the Mediterranean. Another important thing is my family, each one will have a bodyguard and you better do your job well, otherwise we will have a problem. It is clear?"

They nodded again. I must say I liked these guys; it gives me the feeling I can trust them, and that is the best thing can happen to us at this moment the truth. At that moment, Alexandra steps forward and takes off her jacket, which doesn't feel so good to me anymore.

"Well, now I want to check one thing and I hope you do what you have to do, I don't want to regret hiring you, don't worry, I'm not going to kill you for this." She said, and that didn't give me a good feeling, "What are you talking about, Ale?" I asked approaching her "A couple of them will fight me."

I couldn't stop my eyes from growing in size. Was she perhaps crazy? Just a couple of days ago she had taken a good blow in her head, and even though she didn't say anything, I know it hurt. "Have you gone crazy? Do I remind you not long ago you took a big blow in your head?"

Ale turned in my direction and with a small smile was supposed to reassure me, she put a hand on my arm "I'm fine with that, so stop scaring them, and you, show me what you know how to do."

The boy she pointed to approached her fearfully and she continued with that smile plastered on her face, but at least it wasn't the same one she had when she entered the house, it was the one she always wore when we trained.

The boy went after her, but it didn't take long for him end on the ground, and so on for a couple more. I'm more than sure they were trying not to hurt her in the slightest, and I'm also more than sure Ale was realizing it by the look on her face at this moment.

"Fabio, I hope you don't disappoint me." She said with a smile and the bodyguard who had gone with her showed a small smile "I won't, miss." he said, taking off his jacket. "We'll see about that now."

The man didn't take long to go after her, and it did seem like he wasn't going to make things easy for her, until my sister ended up on the ground and it didn't take me long to go next to her. This was a bad idea. "Are you stupid or what's wrong with you? What part did you not understand she took…?" I was going to go for him, but Ale grabbed my arm and made me stand there, without moving.

"Do you want to calm down? I'm fine. At least he's the only one who did what was asked of him. I hope next time you trust what I say. Now everyone to your posts, training will start at seven in the morning." With that, they all began to go to their positions while the three of us stayed in the garden, Diego and I looking at each other without understanding what was going through Alexandra's head at this moment.

"Can you explain to me why this came about, Ale? I remind you, you are not fully recovered to do what you just did." Ale got up from the ground and cleaned her pants "I'm fine, and now if you'll allow me, I have many things to do before my daughter wakes up."

And with that, she left the garden. In truth, it can be said at this very moment I didn't know my sister, and I want to know what had happened in the time she was alone to make her in such a good mood.

ALEXANDRA'S POV

I know at this moment, both Megan and Diego were thinking what was happening to me, because if I know anything, it's that I know they must be wondering where my good mood suddenly came from, but I wasn't going to tell them the reason for my sudden good mood was Hugo. He was a great guy and very nice, maybe we could even become friends at some point, but for now we would be known as he said.

I went straight to my father's office to tidy up a couple more papers before going to wake up my princess. It was half past six in the morning, and I had plenty of time to do it. Another thing I had to do was get my bodyguard. I know Diego wanted to be, but he had to take care of Alison, I couldn't trust anyone else to be with her, and besides, he's good with kids, so he couldn't get a better bodyguard for her. I picked up my cell phone to call Fabio and have him come to my father's office as soon as possible.

"May I come in, miss?" Fabio said from the door "Sure" I finished looking at the papers and put them aside when I was in front of the table "What am I good for?"

"As you know, I'm going to need a bodyguard since Diego will take care of my daughter's safety, and after everything we've been through in the last couple of hours, I trust you, so I want you to be my bodyguard." I said leaning back in the chair and my fingers interlocking "Really?" he asked surprised.

"Yes, you earned my trust. You better not lose it." I said, seriously, because if I lost it, I would most likely end up in the Mediterranean "You won't, I appreciate that, miss." I nodded and motioned for him to sit down, which he ended up doing."

"First of all, I want you to call me Alexandra, not miss and anything similar." He nodded "Second, let me tell you we will train together a couple of times a week, early." He nodded again, causing a smile to appear on my face, I was beginning to like this boy better. "Third, I will have to go to the university a couple of days before the holidays start and you will have to come with me, but you will not go with the suit."

"And how do you want me to go?" he asked "You will go as if you were another student." I informed him. If I hated something more than anything in the world, it was the rest noticed me, and with someone with people behind her with suits, I attract more attention to me.

"And don't you think they'll put up a problem for not being a student?" he asked "Don't worry about that, let's say you're sort of enrolled." The surprise was evident on his face which caused a small smile to appear on my face. "And it won't be a waste of money for you?"

I denied, because if there was anything I had left over in this life it was money and feeling more normal than I am, would help me at least a little in all the madness my life is "That's the least of it, so don't worry."

"That's all?" he asked. "That and the fact that you don't take my bad mood badly, doesn't mean that I'm angry with you." He nodded again and crossed his legs. "I'll be able to deal with it."

"You like children?" I asked, because that was something very important if he was going to be my bodyguard "Sure, why do you ask?" he asked "Being my bodyguard, you will spend a lot of time with my daughter, she is a little shy at first, but good, and I am not saying that because I'm her mother."

A smile appeared on his face, which made me relax. I could clearly see he was serious "I don't doubt it."

"Now you can go rest, and thanks for not telling Megan and Diego where I was." I said grateful. I know what Megan was like when she wanted to know something, and him not telling her was one of the reasons I wanted him as my bodyguard. "It is what you ordered me. I just followed what you said."

"I'm glad to know that, from now on we can try to be friends, but don't forget before friends I'm your boss." He nodded and got up from his chair "Now you can go rest for a while. We left at eleven."

"Where are we going to go?" he asked, buttoning his jacket. "I'll tell you on the way." I said, focusing back on the papers, "Do Miss Megan and Diego have to find out about this?" he asked.

"No, they don't have to know. If they ask, we will go to college, which is partly true." I said looking at him for a couple of seconds "I'll tell them in case they ask." "Perfect, now go and rest for a while. It will be a long day. Later I will introduce you to my daughter."

A smile appeared on his face "It will be a pleasure to meet her." And with that he left the office, and I began to order all the papers they had messed up. I really don't understand how they wanted to manage the mafia and everything as they had it when we arrived, but at least that stupid man was already dead, and that's what mattered to me at this moment.

HUGO'S POV

From the first time I saw her, I couldn't get those eyes out of my mind, but now I had talked to her a bit, I couldn't. I think I was falling in love with a complete stranger, and even though I didn't know her at all, I feel like I can trust her, I don't know, it's a weird thing.

At this moment I was at work trying to find some clue to the mystery killer, and we had nothing, really nothing and that was impossible, it couldn't be that good.

"We have a new corpse." Derek said when he got to their table. "Another one?" I asked not so surprised and thinking of that person's poor family "Yes, and if he is who he says he is, we have a problem."

I frowned because I wasn't understanding what he was talking about. "Who does they say he is?" I asked, full of curiosity "Leonardo."

"The right hand of the Titano?" I asked surprised, because now this really didn't look good at all "That same one." He said picking up a couple of papers and his jacket "Let's go." I took my gun, my jacket and we left there to go to the place where they had found this guy's body. As soon as we got there we went over to confirm if it was him or not, and unfortunately, he was.

"It seems the Italian mafia is left without a leader." I said more to myself than to him "Who would want to kill him?" He asked. This all just seemed to get worse instead of better, and now with the death of the Titano and Leonardo, I have no idea what could happen.

"Well, a large part of the mafias. Remember the Italian mafia is one of the biggest in the world right now. The problem now is who the hell is running the mafia." I said, "What if it disbanded?" he asked hopeful, causing me to deny. Such a large mafia wasn't going to dissolve like that, out of the blue "I doubt it, one of the other mafias had to take it."

"And which of them?" he asked, turning slightly in the seat to look at me. "Something tells me the Russians will have to take advantage now they're around." I can't imagine someone wasting the opportunity, and after the Italian mafia, the Russian one was another of the biggest, they were in Italy, what better way to get more power and become the strongest mafia in the world?

"That may be." He turned around again, looking straight ahead. "Then we have to start investigating." We left there without saying many more words. Who the fuck was running the Italian mafia now? This was all very strange, I really mean it and we had to solve this before it got out of hand, but something told me we were close to finding out who was behind these murders, I don't know why, but is the feeling I have.

Once we finished the day without discovering anything new, I decided to go to a bar near my apartment, more specifically, where I met the D'angelo girl. She had me crazy and I hardly even knew her, everything was very strange, but I liked spending time with her, and I would do everything in my power to at least make her feel comfortable with me, I don't ask for more, just her feeling comfortable and be friends if the occasion arises.

ALEXANDRA'S POV

At this very moment we were in the cellar with Dimitri. After going to the university to take one of my last exams, Fabio and I went straight there. I had to keep both Diego and Megan from finding out everything they had done to me in there, much less before I had Alison, I was going to have a child these sons of bitches had killed.

"I can see you don't get tired dear... My brother and I have made a mistake thinking you were the same girl from years ago." I snorted, because it was true. "Clearly. Obviously, I'm not going to get tired; you're going to pay for everything Megan and I went through in there." I said picking up the knife from the table "You could at least do it to my brother."

"Wow, how affectionate you are for your brother." I said ironically. "In recent years there were differences between us." I snorted again, because there always were and I'm not going to let him fool me "As there always were."

"Yes, there always were, but Stefan wants to find both you and the little girl to kill you." I rolled my eyes, because that was something I already knew, there was no need for him to tell me "As if you didn't want the same thing, stupid."

"I don't want you to end dead. After all, you are the mother of my daughter and she's my daughter, I wouldn't be able to do anything to her." He said, and that made me stop momentarily, but not too long and I turned to look at him.

"Make no mistake, she's my daughter. You are nothing to her." I said taking a couple of steps closer to him "As much as you try to convince yourself of it, you know what I tell you is true." He said, which made me angry, because it wasn't true at all. It may be he was the one who got me pregnant, but he was not the father of my daughter.

"It isn't. Do you really want me to believe you wouldn't be able to do anything to my daughter when you killed my child while I was in there?" I asked wryly "That's because I had to if I wanted both of us to be alive at the end of the night." I laughed; at the best jokes I've ever been told.

"Yes of course, now you are going to tell me you did it to save our lives." I said approaching him and stopping in front of him "As much as it's hard for you to believe it, dear, that's true, and I also know I deserve all this you're doing to me, I'm not complaining about that, but I can help you kill my brother."

As tempting as the offer was, I wasn't going to fall for his games, I wasn't stupid enough to believe it, not after all he did to me. "I'm not going to fall for that so easily Dimitri." I said giving him a blow to the temple. I must say it felt great to be able to do a part of the pain he had done to me during the years I was locked up.

"I'm not saying this so you'll let me go or so you end up not killing me, I'm serious. Over the years I've noticed my brother has gone power crazy and does things we said years ago we wouldn't do." He said, shaking his head, "Yeah sure, and I believe you." I said, thinking that's what I would do now.

"For the first time in a long time I am telling the truth Alexandra." I stopped short, because I had never seen that look on him before and there was something that puzzled me in all of this. "Suppose I believe you, what do you gain with this?" I asked for.

"Nothing, as I told you I don't want anything, I deserve all is happening to me. I will do whatever is necessary and I will give you the necessary information to kill my brother." I denied, because that was too easy. If he had wanted that from the start, he would have released the girls by now before anyone could do them more harm. "I don't trust."

"I understand you don't, but I'm serious. I hope at some point you believe it." I didn't trust this guy at all, but from his body language and the look he had, it seemed like he was telling the truth. Was he seriously thinking of selling his brother to us knowing he will die? No, that couldn't be true, what he was doing was trying to get out of here to kill us and take my daughter with him, or worse, kill her and that's clear I wasn't going to let that happen.

"I don't know how you want me to believe you, if a couple of days ago you were saying your brother would soon realize you were missing, and he would come for us." I said "That's because now I have nothing to do but think. You realize everything you did, and it can be said I haven't done something isn't good in a long time, so I want to help both you and Megan. I know I won't get out of here alive, and to show you I'm not bluffing let me tell you my brother is surrounded by Russian mercenaries, and they hate your guts." He said, as if that was something new to me.

"Tell me something I don't already know." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "What I suppose you don't know is Stefan doesn't hate you since you ran away but long before. Above all, he hates you" he said, and didn't make sense, because I didn't know that man at all to make us disgusted. "If you didn't know us at all."

"I told him the same thing, but it is what he does. If you want to know why, you should investigate it on your own. There is one of his bodyguards who sells himself for whatever, he hates my brother for the way he treats them. His name is Smirnov, and he will tell you everything you need, including the moves my brother can make. If you search my phone, you will find his number." He said "You know what? I'm fed up with so much talk, we better move on to what I came for."

After an hour I got out of there, but I must say I came out more upset than I went in, but right now I didn't have time for this, I had to go home and spend some time with Alison, I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't. The first thing I get when I get home is a hug from Alison, which I happily accept.

"Where were you mommy? I thought you were going to wake me up and we would play." She asked and I ended up picking her up "I had to take an exam at the university and it was early, so I didn't want to wake you up, but don't worry, we'll play all afternoon if you want, okay?"

Her face lit up completely and she hugged me again "Of course, before going to play go wash your hands because we have to eat, I don't think you want grandma to get angry." She shook her head and began to move so I would let her go wash her hands, which I ended up doing, but not before giving her a kiss on the forehead. "Go, I'll wait for you in the kitchen."

With that, she ran off to the bathroom while I just stood there looking in the direction she had gone. "Fabio, I need you to get me the phone." I said without turning in his direction "Will you believe him?" he asked surprised and to which I denied, because I wouldn't believe that stupid Russian.

"No, but something tells me he's not bluffing. And that phone can help us discover information." I said crossing my arms "As you want, I'll go right now for him." I nodded. "Thank you, and tell those guarding Dimitri not to let anyone in but me or you."

"Aren't you going to let your sister in?" he asked again, and this time I did turn around "She, least of all, should go in there. If they don't want to listen to you, you call me and I'll tell them myself over the phone."

"As you order." He said "Thank you Fabio." With that he walked away and left me alone in the living room, but before leaving the house he turned to "Are you going to need me for anything else?" he asked "Not right now, but later I would like you to be here so Alison begins to gain confidence in you and later we will train for a while." He nodded and turned to head out the door, but before he did, I stopped him.

"Stay and eat with us." I said "You don't have to…" he started, and I raised an eyebrow. "It's an order Fabio." He nodded and closed the door. "Can you go see if my mother needs help?" He nodded again and went to the kitchen. By the time Fabio left for the kitchen, Megan soon appeared behind me with a frown on her face.

"Are you going to tell me where you really went or am I going to have to find out?" she asked crossing her arms and I couldn't help but roll my eyes, sometimes I hated that Megan was so overprotective, and I guess she hated it about me most of the time. "I don't know what you are talking about." I said starting to walk towards the bathroom, and I know I was following her "Come on, you're not stupid. Do you think saying you have to take an exam at the university is going to cut it?"

"Well, it's not a lie, as you know, there are a couple of weeks left to finish college, and I'm not going to throw my career overboard just for two weeks and everything that's happening." I said, which was half true, "Come on, Dad made it, so we didn't have to go back there and tell me you have to take tests." I denied, because didn't matter exactly to me. At this time, going to university served as a cover for me.

"Dad got it, but that doesn't mean I'm going to accept what dad did. I have exams to do, and if you think I went to any place wasn't going to the university, then go there and ask if it's true I wasn't there or not. And now if you'll please stop questioning everything I do because I don't want Alison to think we're arguing." I said, "And isn't that what we're doing?" She asked.

I turned to look at her, because maybe we were, or at least her, but I didn't need a babysitter, and Megan is what she was doing right now.

"This doesn't stay like this Alexandra, and you know it." He said and I rolled my eyes once more "We'll see about that." With that, she went to the kitchen with the others and before Alison got to me, I took a deep breath to calm down, I didn't want her to think I was angry or upset.

"Mommy, can I ask you a question?" she asked drying her hands "Sure princess, what is it about?" I sat on her bed, and it didn't take long for him to come next to me and sit on my lap "The man who was with you before..."

"What's the matter with him?" I asked, but I already had an idea of what I wanted to ask, "Who is it?" she asked, "Do you remember your grandfather always gave us people to take care of bad people?" I asked and she nodded "Well, those people had to go to another place and those who see around the house are the ones who will make sure bad people can do something to us."

"Are they like the princes of the stories?" she asked with a small smile, which made one appear on mine. "Let's say they're something like that." I said, because it couldn't be further from the truth, but she believed in that, and I wasn't going to be the one to tell her the truth "So that's the one who takes care of you?"

"Exactly, he'll also take care of you when you're with me, but your uncle Diego will take care of that." I said and a big smile didn't take long to appear on her face. "Will Uncle Diego stay with us?" she asked and before I could answer anything, Diego appears through the door of the room "Of course I'll stay princess. Do you want to get rid of me already or what?" he asked with a pout present on his face "No, I don't want to. So, I won't have to miss you every time you leave.

"This time I'm not going anywhere, princess." He said approaching and stretching his arms in the direction of Alison, who ended up jumping and running in the direction of Diego, who ended up picking her up and kissing her on the forehead "Guys, time to eat."

Alison ran towards the kitchen, and I was going to start going towards it when Diego stops me and makes me look at him, apparently, he is upset too. I don't know what's wrong with everyone today to be upset, the only upset here should be me. "You mean to tell me what is about no one being allowed in to see Dimitri?" Diego asked, which makes it clear to me Fabio had called those who were in the cellar, and they had wanted to make sure by asking Diego.

"Well, no one can, period." I said, leaving my daughter's room, "What's wrong with you, Ale? You've been acting weird ever since we walked in yesterday." He said, and it wasn't quite like that, "I'm not doing it."

"Come on woman, first you go crazy as soon as that guy says something about your child and you end up electrocuting him, then at the meeting with the partners you were gone and out of nowhere you end up killing one of them and finally you go to I don't know where and you arrive at dawn. Are you going to tell me that's not acting weird?" he asked me, and I know he was, but no one should care what was going on in my head.

"It's not, and now stop being upset and let's eat before my mother gets mad." I said, "It's Megan that's mad." And I shrugged my shoulders, because that was more than clear to me "It will pass."

"Believe me it won't pass, because you know she will be finding out you gave the order no one can enter there, she will be angrier than she is now." I turned in his direction and he stopped short "And as I told her, Dimitri is mine, and the only one who will lay a hand on him is me, no one else."

"What did he do to you?" he asked with some sadness in his eyes, which made me turn again to start walking towards the kitchen "It doesn't concern you, and now stop asking so many questions and let's go eat, I have more important things to do than discuss with you what I do or not."

And with that, I went to the kitchen leaving him standing there alone. Sometimes I get the feeling they take me for a little girl who can't do anything on her own, but I'll prove them more than wrong with that, that I was much stronger than everyone thought.
