30. David?

ALEXANDRA'S POV

A couple of months had passed since that day when both I and Hugo got sick. During this time things were going better, at least almost everything.

On the one hand, Hugo was better in his mental space, and that made me happy. The therapies were helping him. Alison was happy to be back in class, as much as I didn't like the idea, I had to send her to class, yes, with a squad of bodyguards.

Then Rose was apparently in the process of being a thing with my dad, which Hugo wasn't so fond at first, but after talking to him, he got it. It took me a bit to convince him, but after telling him my father wouldn't do anything to her or I kill him myself for hurting Rose, he was more convinced. I know why he was worried his mother had a partner, after everything what happened to her with his father and the mistreatment she received from him, he did not want her to suffer anymore, and I thought the same as him, but no one in this house would allow for something like this to happen, much less Megan and me.

On the other hand, Megan was also doing well with therapy. At least she kept going, because I had decided not to go, at least for the moment, since I had more things to do, and it wasn't helping me with the nightmares.

Right now, I'm in the office with Luke telling me everything going on with the mafia, and the truth is, I wasn't paying too much attention to him, I had more things to think about, and I trusted what Luke's friend said. "I think it's better to leave this for another day." Said Luke closing the laptop "Why?"

"You're not paying attention to me Ale... Are you okay?" he asked with some concern "Yes, why wouldn't I be?" I asked confused "I just wanted to make sure." He said getting up from the chair "Are you going to start like them too?"

In the last few days, everyone had been asking me if I was feeling well, and I did, I didn't understand why they asked me so often "I'm not going to, but we all care about you, and you know it." He said this, and I nodded, because I already knew that "I know, but that doesn't mean it's not right."

"I know, I better go do other things. Anything you need me to investigate?" he asked before walking out the door "At the moment nothing comes to mind, so no." I replied, "Perfect then, see you later." With that, Luke got up from his seat and left the office leaving me alone with all my thoughts, which soon became nothing, which I don't know if it's good or not.

"Wow, you're so into your world you don't hear anything." Megan said next to me, which makes me turn slightly to see what she wanted "What do you want Megan?" I asked, "Wow, what a welcome. I take it you're in a bad mood?" she inquired, and I denied, because I wasn't "I'm not, even though it doesn't look like it."

"So, something's wrong with you?" she asked, and I sighed "Why do you all think something is wrong with me?" I asked now, because I was beginning to get fed up with the bloody question "I don't know who else told you, but it must be because we noticed that something isn't right with you, that's why we asked."

"I'm fine, it's just one of those days I don't want to know anything, that's all." I answered, the only thing I wanted was to have a clear mind and put aside all my worries as best I could "Well, that's solved quickly. Let's go for Alison. It will help you not to think about it as much as you are right now, and then let's play with Diego and Hugo with the toy guns. I promise I won't say anything weird this time."

"Okay." I replied "Great, now let's go for the queen of this house." She said with a big smile on her face "I must tell Hugo first." I answered getting up from the chair "Okay, I'll wait for you downstairs. You better not get distracted on the way Alexandra because I swear, I hear one more moan and I shoot myself in the head.

With that, she walked out of the office with me laughing, because seriously, sometimes she's so over the top I can't stand her, and besides, I don't think we make as much noise as she claims we do. After a few minutes, I went out looking for Hugo. I figured he was in our room with therapy or investigating why his father got out of jail, so I'm headed there.

As soon as I open the door, I can hear how Madison is telling Hugo something. As soon as Hugo realizes someone entered the room, he turns in the direction of the door and a smile appears on his face, so I begin to approach him and before I get to him, I hear how Madison greets me, which I find strange.

"How do you know it's me?" I asked with a frown. " Honey, Hugo's face lights up when you're around, so I know when you or your daughter come in." Madison replied with a big smile on her face "As if not to be happy, the person I love the most in this world enters." Hugo said.

I walked over to him, got behind him so I could see Madison on the screen with a big smile and I put my hands on his chest. " I realized that a long time ago and let me tell you since you met her you have improved a lot, and without my help." She said clapping her hands "Tell that to Alexandra, because she never believes me when I tell her."

"Well, let me tell you, Alexandra, it's true. I don't know what you do, but you help him a lot, so don't underestimate yourself." I couldn't help the smile that appeared on my face. If it weren't for the fact, we must have been the same age, I would think she was my mother because of the way she scolded me, "It's just I don't do anything special." I said with a shrug, "You do it all. Did you need something?"

"No, I just came to tell you that I'm going to pick up Alison at school." I responded focusing on him "Do you want me to come with you?" he asked, and I denied "It's not necessary, plus Megan is coming." I answered and now it was his turn to frown. "You're going to bring bodyguards, right?"

"Of course, don't worry about it." I wasn't going to leave Alison on the street without a squad of bodyguards, that was more than clear to me "Okay. When you arrive, I will be free, and we can do what you want.

"Great, because Megan wants to play in the garden with the guns." I answered and a smile appeared on his face "Won't you be angry?" he asked, and I shook my head with a big smile on my face "I won't. Also, she's sure Alison will be on our team…"

"That's not true, Alison wouldn't abandon us." He said with a frown, "I remind you Alison hates to lose, so it's obvious she won't be on your team." I snorted but smiling. "We won't lose… last time you caught us off guard, that's all."

"As you want honey. See you later." I gave him a small kiss and broke away from him to start walking towards the hall where I could hear Megan calling my name. "Until next time, Madison." I said heading towards the door of our room " Until next time, Alexandra." I closed the door carefully and headed downstairs. Before going to Megan, I go to the kitchen where my mother, my father and Hugo's mother were talking.

"Are you going for Alison?" Analissa asked and I nodded "Yeah, I don't think we'll be back late." I responded giving her a kiss on the cheek "Okay. Be careful." She said give each of us a kiss on the temple "We will, see you later mom."

"See you later." With that I left the kitchen and this time I headed over to where Megan was impatiently waiting for me as always. "I already thought I would have to traumatize myself hearing your moans again."

I rolled my eyes, because right now she was being stupid "You're stupid. Let's go get Alison before we're late." I said opening the door, "If we do it, it's your fault." I gave her a little push and she laughed. I swear if it wasn't for the fact I love her, I would have sent her to hell a long time ago.

STEFAN'S POV

Almost a year had passed since Alexandra's supposed death, and yes, I still don't believe she's dead. I know Alexandra well enough to know she manages quite well to disappear if that's what she wants. I find it hard to believe she tried to escape from me, mostly because she wants to kill me.

One way I could think of to get her out of hiding had been to get the father of her DEA boyfriend out of jail, and if there's one thing, I know this guy hates, it's his father, but it hadn't paid off, at least for now.

At this moment, I was waiting for his father, John. Years ago, I had done some business with him, until I heard his son was after him, I didn't want them to put me in the middle because of his family problems.

"Good morning, Stefan." Said stupid John adjusting his shirt "At least for you are." I replied coldly "Of course I am, I'm out of jail after my son put me there. What more can I ask for?" he responded with a big smile.

"Don't forget I was the one who got you out of there." I really couldn't stand this guy, and if it turned out Alexandra and her entire family were dead, I'd end up killing him myself. "I know, and I appreciate it. But I also know you want something in return."

"Oh no. I just needed more allies and people to sell me more drugs, nothing more." I responded with a shrug; he really wouldn't be of any use to me "You know no one will take my calls no matter how much I want to help you."

John sat in the chair across from me denying, "Don't worry about it, I'll manage. Better tell me, how come you let yourself be caught by your son? I asked to see if it was the way to get off that cloud of superiority in which he was "Don't even name him, but in the end he's dead with that bitch who was with him."

"If there's one thing you should know before you run out of tong or life, it's the girl you call a bitch is my daughter." I said threateningly, because I wasn't going to let anyone talk about her like that, "Do you have a daughter? And she was that bastard's girlfriend? In the end, he wasn't as good as he pretended to be, after all, he was with the daughter of a mob boss." He answered and I don't know why he seemed surprised I had a daughter, in the end, it was something everyone knew, only they didn't know what Alexandra was exactly, but they thought it was Maria, being the same person.

"Oh, make no mistake, she might be my daughter, but we're not on good terms at all, and she didn't know I was her father either." I replied laughing "So…?" began "Actually you know her, it was Alexandra, sure it sounds familiar to you."

"The girl from your club?" he asked surprised "That very one." I said with a big smile "And what was she doing there if she was your daughter?" he asked confused "Because I needed to make her the woman she became after that."

"I'm not understanding anything. So, she was not a narco?" He kept asking "Oh, believe me, she is, and what's more, she was with a person we both hate a lot." I responded by crossing my arms and leaning back in my chair, "Who?"

"The Titano, is the one she calls dad apart from the one she thinks is her father." Even though it wasn't the most likely idea in the world, I knew it was a way to weaken Francesco, so I left her where she had been. "Are you going to tell me you left that brat in the Titano's care?" he asked surprised, but once again, I had to restrain myself from smashing his face in and killing him right here.

"One bad word against my daughter and you end up in the deepest lake in Russia." I said with a smile on my face "Okay, I'm sorry, but then my son was useless. He only put me in jail so he could get promoted quickly."

"He didn't do it for that, he did it because he hated you and at some point, he was also after her, but he didn't know it was her." This guy couldn't be more stupid, seriously. If it weren't for his son and his hatred towards him, he would still in jail "It's a good thing he's dead, because if not, I'd take it upon myself to kill him."

At that moment one of my bodyguards enters the office, closes the door and waits for me to let him speak. "What's up, Larsson?" I asked my trusted bodyguard "There's a man out there who claims to have important information for you."

"What kind of information?" I asked curiously, "He doesn't want to tell anyone, just you. And he insists you care." He said and I nodded "Okay, let him in." Larsson left the office and a couple of minutes later the guy who claims to have important information and a couple of bodyguards walk into the office.

"Well, what's so important you have to tell me?" I asked crossing my arms. "I've heard somewhere you're looking for your daughter." I nodded. "Well, I know someone who is living with her." He said and it made me sit up straighter "You have to tell me more if you want me not to kill you right here."

"First you have to give me something in return." He responded with a big smile to which I rolled my eyes "I'll give you half a million with the possibility of an increase if what you tell me is really good." I said and he nodded "Then start talking because I don't have all day for you" I said "Well, you know the guy I'm talking about, he's Sergio, and I think I remember he worked with you years ago."

I was liking this where I was going, and apparently, I was right. Alexandra was alive. "Go on." I encouraged him, "Well, apparently, he ran into her one day on the street and now he's living with her." He said, "And how do I know you're not lying to me?"

"Apparently the girl has a boyfriend, a daughter who must be about six years old, a sister and her mother. I think even the guy mother lives with them." He said and I agreed, because that would be the most likely and it wasn't too public information "And where do they live according to you?" I asked starting to put together a plan in my mind "In Los Angeles, sir."

"Specifically?" I asked "Santa Monica." I nodded and laced my fingers together. "Thank you very much for your information. Larsson, you know what's next." I told him "As you command sir." The guy seemed excited, but what he didn't know was he was going to end up in the deepest lake in Russia. "Go with Larsson, he'll take care of giving you your money."

"I think you will be able to take advantage of what you wanted so much since your son isn't dead." I told John, "I want to kill him and his bitch of a mother." He said cracking his knuckles "Then we must prepare ourselves, because I'm ahead of you, my daughter has a whole army of bodyguards working for her."

"They will be useless, so we won't have a problem." He said and I denied, because if something was clear to me, it was Alexandra didn't hang out with the kind of people he hung out with when he was in the business "They're not useless, they're the best mercenaries and ex-navy. And in case they were useless, let me tell you both Alexandra and Megan are too smart and know how to defend themselves really well, so don't underestimate them."

"It is not a big deal." He said denying "Later don't say I did not warn you." I couldn't help but get upset, because this guy was underestimating Alexandra, and if something shouldn't be done, it's underestimating her, neither of them.

MEGAN'S POV

As soon as we got home, we were received by Hugo and our mother, but before doing anything, Alexandra went with Alison so she could change to eat and then go play in the garden.

I was setting the table when I see how Alison runs down the stairs and if it wasn't for Hugo, she would have fall on floor. The moment Hugo put my niece on the floor, Alison runs back to the kitchen where the rest were.

I was there for a while looking at him, because I'm not going to deny it, I was more than happy that my sister found the man she deserved. It may be not every day was the best for her, but Hugo made sure at least she didn't have such a bad time, which she did most of the time, and that made me very happy.

After seeing how Hugo intertwines his fingers with Alexandra's, I return to my task of setting the table. During the meal everything was laughing, and I know something was going on in the back of Alexandra's mind, the face she had told me, but I think I know what, because I also had the feeling something would end this happiness we were having at this moment, and it would be soon, but like her, I decided it was better to put it in the back of my mind and have a good family time.

Once we finished eating, both our mother and Alexandra's mother-in-law practically forced us to go to the garden so we could play as we had promised Alison. Obviously, this time she was on our team, we didn't even need to say anything. It was clear to me we were going to win, and as Alexandra's daughter, she hates losing, but I'm not going to deny it either, I do too. This time Luke joined their team, but even so, they had nothing to do against us, we had learned things the hard way that apparently even they had no idea, and why not take advantage of what we learned? I always thought there's a use for what you learn in one way or another.

After an hour or so I decided it was better to go shopping at least for dinner, because these last few days we had forgotten to buy food and I don't want to starve. "Well, now that we show you, we are better than you, I'm going to buy something for dinner."

"Do you want me to accompany you?" Ale asked getting up and I denied it, I preferred her to spend time with her daughter and boyfriend "It's not necessary, I'll take Diego to bring the bags home." I assured her to make her calmer "Are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" she asked, and I nodded "I don't need your help Ale, spend time with your daughter and boyfriend."

"Whatever you want. Call me if you need something." She said pointing at me "Okay mom." Alexandra's smile only grew as did mine and I walked out of the house with Diego behind me saying by to everyone, including Sergio.

It may be at first, I didn't like the man too much, but in this time, he has been living with us I could see he really loves Alexandra and she's happy with him here, so I learned not to hate him, and well.

Both me and Diego left the house and were walking to the store to buy something for dinner. The way I must say it was quite silent, at least half of it. I suppose at some point Diego got tired of being silent.

"Are you OK?" Diego asked without taking his eyes off the road "Yes, why wouldn't I be?" I asked confused why I wouldn't be. It may be, of the two, I'm the one who talks the most, but it's not a big deal either, I think "Because you're never this quiet, that's why I ask."

"I don't always talk." I assured "As you want, but you know if you need any of us, we're there." He said and I nodded, because I already knew. After a few more minutes we entered the store and began to walk around looking for what we needed, but we were taking a long time and we decided it was better to split up to finish before.

It was in the cereal aisle because both me and Alison had run out, and if they weren't the usual, we didn't like them, but I didn't see them anywhere either. Just as I find them, someone grabs my wrist and ends up hugging me, which makes me tense up, because I hate strangers touching me.

"But who the fuck do you think you are to put a hand on…?" I started leaving the cereal on the shelf to break the teeth of whoever dared to get their hands on me "I thought I would never see you again in my life. Where have you been all this time?" And as soon as I hear that voice, I turn around to make sure this isn't a dream. I really couldn't have him in front of me right now.

"Listen, I don't have much time and I need you to help me. I have to find my mother because she has disappeared out of nowhere… Her name is Analissa D'angelo and I'm afraid that the Russians have taken her to get to me… Promise you will do whatever it takes to find her." I wasn't understanding anything and at this moment I was more than confused "David?" I asked in a whisper "Yes, it's me, but I really must go. I love you."

He began to get closer to me until Diego appeared out of nowhere and I'm sure not having escaped before Diego arrived would have beaten him to a pulp. As soon as he was sure David was gone, he turned in my direction, where I was standing and not understanding what had just happened.

"Are you OK? Did that guy do something to you? Because I swear if I find him, I'll kill him with my own hands." Diego had his hands on either side of my face, but I didn't know what to say. Was he really in Los Angeles all this time? What the fuck is going on?

Thousands of memories of the moments we spent together were running through my mind and I was starting to get stressed. I don't really know how long I was standing there, but I know after a while I can see Alexandra in front of me worried. I don't know what the fuck she's saying, but right now it was the last thing I cared about, because my mind could only process David is alive.

ALEXANDRA'S POV

The moment Diego called me because Megan didn't speak and a guy had been too close to her, I didn't hesitate to leave the house. Obviously, this time Hugo didn't let me go alone, but I didn't care right now, I just wanted to make sure Megan was okay and find out what the fuck happened.

After what seemed like an eternity of time, we got to the store where they were shopping, and I started looking for the cereal section. As soon as I find her, I run towards her and stand in front of her.

"Megan, what happened?" She doesn't answer me, but from her lost gaze and how pale she is at this moment I know she's not going to answer. It must have been quite a shock for her not to speak, and I really had to contain my anger at this moment, because it was her mattered and not this guy I would deal with later.

"Hey... everything will be fine... I promise... Let's go home..." I put an arm around her shoulders and started walking towards the exit of the establishment, but not before telling Diego to buy whatever it was necessary and then come home.

On the way home, everything was quiet. While Hugo was driving, I was hugging Megan in the back seat. I hated seeing her like this, and I swear as soon as I find that guy, I'll kill him with my bare hands.

Once at the house, Megan gets out of the car and begins to head inside the house. I keep looking at her standing there and after a couple of minutes, I notice arms hugging me from behind and leaving its chin on my shoulder.

"Do you know anything about what happened?" Hugo asked and I denied "I have no idea... only a guy approached her while they were shopping... I swear as soon as I find him, I'll kill him..." I assured. I wasn't going to allow someone to affect my sister so much "Don't worry, love, soon she will be back to her usual smiling and funny Megan."

"I'll take care of that. I better go see what I can get what the hell is happening." I said pulling away from him to go back to Megan, "Okay. I'll be with Alison. If you need anything, call us, okay?"

"Alright." He gave me a kiss on the cheek, and I headed for the house. Before going over to Megan, I told Luke to go through the cameras in the store and find out all the information on the guy who had approached Megan.

After Luke started looking for this guy and my mom asked me what was wrong with Megan, which I couldn't answer, I went to Megan's room to see if she was there, and where she was.

As soon as I open the door, I see her sitting on the bed with a lost look and hugging the pillow. I slowly close the door and walk over to her, ending up sitting on the bed and waiting to see if she says anything.

After a couple of minutes, she starts to cry, and I don't hesitate to get closer to her and hug her to calm her down. Whenever something goes through her mind and bothers her too much, she ends up crying. Deep down, she's a sensitive girl and I know that's why I hated seeing her like this, and even more someone tried to hurt her.

"Shh... Everything will be fine..." I assured her, running my hand through her hair, it was something used to calm her down "He's... here..." she said, and I frowned, because I wasn't understanding anything "Who's here?" I asked confused "Da... David..."

"What are you taking about?" I asked even more confused "The... the b... boy..." she started, but I stopped her, because first I needed her to calm down to find out what this was about "I think it's better you relax first. Then tell me what happened, okay?"

She nodded and we stayed like that for a while. I could tell she was slowly calming down, but something has her tense, and something was bothering her, but before I got angrier myself and lost the opportunity for her to speak, I calmed down.

"David." She said mor clearer than before "What about him?" I asked quietly "He's alive." She said and I kept looking at her "Why do you say that?" I inquired, but at that moment someone bangs on the door and as soon as I see Luke's head appear through the piece he had opened and with the computer in hand, I sigh, because at that moment I really don't understanding anything.

"Couldn't you wait?" I said annoyed, because now that I had Megan talking, I didn't want her to stop, I had to find that guy as soon as possible "Yes, but..." he started, but I stopped him "But nothing, Luke, don't you see...?"

"Ale, it's fine. What did you come to tell her?" Megan interrupted, turning to focus her gaze on Luke. "Just tell her I already looked at the cameras and I have a name." He said and Megan took a deep breath. "David?" she asked hopefully "No, Marcus."

"What?" We said both at the same time Megan froze in bed and I got up from her side and took her computer in my hands, I stared at the screen for a couple of seconds and then I went up to Megan to confirm if it was him or not. "This is David?" I asked her and she nodded.

"But his name isn't…" Luke began, but I denied it, because if Megan said it was David, then it was "Luke, if she says it, it's because he is. How the hell did he find you?" I asked more to myself than to them "I don't know. I don't think he expected to find me there, but he told me he had little time."

"Would he be running away?" I asked thinking he might be escaping, and she shrugged "It seems so, but before that, he told me something." She said seriously and I focused my gaze on her again "What?" I asked curiously "We should protect his mother."

"And where is she supposed to be?" I don't understand why we had to protect his mother, but for Megan's sake, we would "Here with us." She said and now I'm more than confused "What? What are you taking about?"

"He told me that I had to protect Analissa D'angelo." She answered and I froze in place for a moment. Analissa? What the fuck was going on here? "What? Let's see if I'm understanding correctly. Are you telling me the David you know is the same David both Analissa and Francesco told us was dead all these years?"

"I'm going crazy?" she asked, and I denied, because even though it didn't make sense, it doesn't mean she's going crazy. "We need to talk to mom." I said looking for a way to open without hurting her too much "You know she doesn't like to talk about it, and if what he says is true, then I won't like to talk about it either. I don't want to blurt it out to Mom by accident."

"Don't worry, I'll talk to her myself. Luke, I need you to look everywhere for that man, we need to find him." I said and began to think what I could do "I'll get to it now"

With that, he left the room, leaving us alone again, but this time with a bitter background, because if that man was telling the truth, and it's not I wasn't believing Megan, then it means both Analissa and Francesco were living a lie for much of their lives.

"Megan, are you sure it's the same David?" I asked to be sure, and she nodded "Absolutely, but he looked nervous. I guess I was running from something." My sister replied, "Do you believe him when he says Analissa is his mother?"

"I think my opinion at this moment isn't the best to take into account." She answered and I denied, because if I was sure, it was the David she knew, she was the one who knew him best, therefore, the opinion that mattered the most "It's the one it matters to me the most, you know that boy better than anyone. Do you believe him or not?"

"I believe him." She said, "We have to find him." I got out of bed and started pacing to the side, thinking of a plan to find him "I'm not ready to see him again." She said and I went to look at her. I could see she's worried, so I walked over to her, sat next to her, and took her hand, giving it a little squeeze "If what he tells us is true, we need to tell Analissa."

" I know, but I just want to ask you for something." She said, "Whatever you want." I assured "When you find him, don't do anything to him." She said and I frowned, because giving him a couple of punches would be nothing compared to the intention, I had at first "I don't..." I started "Alexandra... I only ask you that..."

I could see she was serious, so I was going to have to put the idea of giving them away, for Megan's sake more than anything, because if it was up to me, I didn't give a shit. "Okay, I won't do anything to him." I promised and she nodded "Could you take someone I can trust and stop you?"

I frowned again, because I don't understand why she didn't trust me... well, I did, but I had promised her "Don't you trust me?" I asked. "I do, but we both know when you get angry there's no stopping you."

"Alright." I said nodding "Hugo." She replied, "What about him?" I asked curiously and tilting my head to the side "I want you to take him with you." She said convinced "I was going to take Diego..." I replied, because he would be the best one, we could trust in this case "But he would help you, on the other hand Hugo wouldn't let you do something you can regret in the future."

"I think you don't really know what Hugo is like. He will let me do whatever he thinks is right for us." I replied, "But before he let you do it, he would try to convince you not to do anything you might regret."

It might be she's partly right, but I also know if he tries to do something to me or say something against me, he won't like it at all and there will be no way for me to change his mind about whatever he wants to do to that person "You're right. Now you better rest a while." I said, "What are you going to do?" she asked, and I smiled "Don't worry about me, I'm going to do a couple of things I have pending. If you ever need me, you just have to call me."

"I'm…" I'm pretty sure she was going to say okay, but I shook my head, because I know she wasn't, and I won't let her lie to me. "Don't even think about saying those words, because we both know you're not." I said seriously "You know me perfectly." She said with a small smile on her face, "We haven't spent thousands of years together without me having the chance to meet you."

Her small smile stayed on her face, and she lay down on the bed. I got up from it and put a blanket over her so she wouldn't catch cold, I gave her a little kiss on her forehead and left the room but not before telling her I loved her.

Once out of this, I lean against the door and close my eyes thinking about everything that had happened in just over an hour. After a couple of minutes there I notice how some arms take me away from the door and bring me closer to its chest. I don't need to open my eyes to know Hugo's standing there in front of me.

"Has it gone that bad?" he asked in a whisper. "Not bad, but obviously it left her shocked." I assured moving closer to his chest "Do you want to talk about it?" he asked again, and I denied, because right now I needed to do other things "Can we talk later?" I asked him and he nodded "Do you need anything?" he inquired "Can you come with me? I need to talk to my mother about something."

"May I know about what?" he asked again "I need to know a couple of things; I'll tell you later." I said, "Then let's go." I took his hand, and we headed downstairs where Analissa, my father, Rose and Diego were playing with Alison. As soon as Analissa sees me, she stands up and hugs me, probably because she knows when Megan isn't well, I'm usually not either and vice versa.

"Is Megan alright?" asked Analissa. "She's a little better, but can we talk about something?" I asked looking for a way to not focus too much on what I had to say "Sure, shall we go to the kitchen?" I nodded and both Hugo and I followed Analissa to the kitchen. She started to make some tea, I guess so I could drink it and calm down a bit, and as soon as she finished, she put it in front of me.

"What is you wanted to talk about? It seemed serious." She asked sitting in front of me and intertwining her fingers "It is." I assured "So tell me, what's going on?" I didn't really know how to approach this topic of David, because I know neither of us liked to talk about it, and we understood them better than anyone, we continue to do so, but I have to make sure this David is the same David they lost.

"How did you and Dad deal with the possibility of losing David?" And with that, the kitchen falls silent. Beside me, I could see Hugo looking at me without understanding anything, he took my hand and gave it a little squeeze. My mother on the other hand, was another story entirely. I could see pain in her eyes, and it was what I didn't want to provoke, but it's the best way I could think of to not give her hope David might be alive.

"Why you ask?" she asked in a whisper. "Because I want to understand how you were able to bear it. I'm constantly afraid something could happen to Alison because of me." I said, it was the only way I had to ask her about it and not suspect her son could be alive "Is something wrong?" she asked with a frown, and I shook my head, because at this moment everything was fine "Everything is fine, I just want to know how."

"There was always fear. At all times we were afraid something would happen to him in the world your father was involved in, and we did everything in our power so nothing would happen to him." She said looking at me looking for a reason of her own "May I ask what happened to him? You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to."

"They caught him coming from school... I don't know how they managed it, but they kill the bodyguards with him and killed him... and burned... He couldn't be recognized." A light bulb went on in my mind, because that's what I had done. "So how are you so sure it was him then?" I asked curiously "The DNA tests." She said and I knew it… there was a good chance he was telling the truth. I knew better than anyone you could manipulate the right people and then shut them up forever.

"What are all these questions about, Alexandra? What is going through your mind?" she asked taking my hand "It's nothing, really. Only sometimes I have the feeling they will reach us. They made it very clear to me they want to take Alison." At least it wasn't a complete lie, and it didn't take long for Hugo to take my hand and give it a squeeze "Honey, we won't let that happen."

"I know, but that doesn't mean I'm not afraid of the option." I replied, "You should listen to Hugo, you wouldn't let anything happen to your daughter, you would kill the person first." Analissa said and I nodded, because I already knew that better than anyone. "Stop thinking about it because it's not good for you. I better go take your sister some tea."

"She must be asleep right now." I said, "Then I'll be with her in case she needs anything." With that he got up from her chair and walked out of the kitchen leaving Hugo and me alone. He gets up from his chair, turns my chair around so I can see him, and squats down to look at me.

"You shouldn't worry about the Russians. You know they won't get to us." Hugo assured next to me, and I nodded, because I would do whatever was necessary to make sure it didn't happen, but it was still a possibility "There is always a possibility. It cannot be ruled out that they will reach us."

"We can do it." Hugo said with a small smile, but I knew Stefan better than anyone, and he knew what he would do to get what he wants, and in this case, it was my daughter, which I would never allow "I wouldn't believe it." I whispered, "Is there something else bothering you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "A lot of things are bothering me right now." I assured "Do you want to talk about them?" he asked, and I nodded, but the house right now wasn't the place to talk about them.

"Can we get out of the house so I can tell you?" I asked and he nodded "I understand it's something nobody can find out about." He whispered and I nodded, because it was more or less that "Something like that." I responded with a shrug, "Okay, let's go."

We got up and before leaving the house, we told Diego we were going out for a walk. Obviously, Diego sent a couple of bodyguards with us, but he made sure they didn't follow us so closely to give us some privacy.

On the way, I realized we were heading towards the ship. It's usually where we went when we needed to talk about something or calm down.

When we were a couple of minutes from the pier, I see someone turn quickly in the opposite direction we're going, and I thought it was David, so all I can think of to do is call him, but he starts to run, causing me to go after him.

"David, wait... I just want to talk to you." I could see how he accelerated more, but I wasn't far behind. I could hear Hugo calling me and how they were coming after me. Out of nowhere, David turns to the right and luckily for me it was an alley, at least he was going to stop escaping.

Once I'm at the entrance, I see how David raises the gun and points it at me, causing me to automatically raise my hands. I don't want to have to pull out my gun and scare him any more than he is right now.

"What the fuck do you want from me? Are you here to finish what your father couldn't?" he replied through his teeth "Sergio? Come on, he hasn't left the house for days." Hugo said behind me "I'm not talking about him." He said angrily and I could get an idea of who was there. How the hell did he know Stefan was my biological father? "So, whose?" I asked, "From Stefan."

"You are wrong, he's not my father." I said denying, because I didn't have it as such "Come on, Maria. Do you really think I'm stupid?" At that moment, Hugo stands in front of me to prevent David from taking aim at me, but it doesn't take long for me to stand in front of him.

"Listen... Yes, my second name is Maria... and it may be this man is my biological father, but believe me, I hate him much more than you are doing right now." I assured trying to get closer to him "You're not going to fool me that easily." He said and I denied, because it's the last thing I wanted to do "I'm not trying to fool you. Do you really think I would want to fool you?"

"Better tell me where you have my mother, and I won't kill you right here." He said raising the couple of centimetres his gun had lowered "You don't really recognize me, do you?" I asked with a small smile on my face "Of course, in the mafia they do nothing but talk about you. They are waiting for you to take command of this one."

"Did you ever see me in Russia?" I asked ironically "That has nothing to do with it. That guy has businesses all over the world. What's more, it's said you were in the club where you had Megan and her friend held, you slept with every guy coming your way." Hugo grabs the gun from one of the bodyguards and approaches him pointing it at his face, but before he does anything, I walk over and put my hand on his arm.

"Take back what you just said about my wife, or I'll blow your brains out." He assured, and I quickly approached him and put my hand on his arm, because even though it bothered me too, I couldn't let him hurt David "Hugo... Don't do it." I said softly, "Have him take back what he just said, and I'll think about it."

"Hugo." I repeated "I don't have to apologize to the daughter of the person who has hurt me the most in my life, to my parents and my girlfriend." David assured through his teeth. "Were you and Megan a couple?" I asked confused, because Megan hadn't said that when she told me about him, she just knew he was the boy she liked "How do you know her? Don't even think about going near her, because I won't hesitate to kill you all." He said getting upset and I raised my hands in the air again.

"Listen David, I know her, but not because of what you're thinking." I assured him and he frowned. "Then why?" he asked confused I would say "I'm Alexandra... Megan's friend." I said getting a little closer to him "What? No... that can't be. She's dead." He mumbles and I denied, because I clearly wasn't. "I'm not, just like Megan isn't."

"No…I don't believe you…" he stammered "Listen, Megan was taken when she was four…that same day they kidnapped me too…I really don't know how long it was before they took us to that club, but ever since we were in there We never parted."

"Tell me something only Megan would tell Alexandra." He said and I started looking for something that only I could know, but while he would know until I remembered the conversation this morning "You were expecting a child." I said softly and it's at moment when those words come out of my mouth, I see a reflection of pain on his face. He slowly starts to lower the gun and I do the same with Hugo's arm.

"She killed it." And as soon as those words come out of his mouth, I take the gun from Hugo and I'm the one who points it at him, because it wasn't further from the truth. "And you want me to believe you're Alexandra?" he asked ironically "Do you really want me to believe you are the David my sister is in love with?" I reiterated, because I wasn't going to let this stupid talk about things, he had no idea about. "You don't know anything about her."

"Oh, of course I know, much more than you know. Who was with her when she was almost beaten to death? Or the nights she wouldn't stop crying because she was scared, or something hurt? Who was the one in charge of healing her wounds those degenerates inflicted on her? You just showed up to fuck her and then leave like everyone else did. Instead, I was always by her side and gave her my shoulder to cry on. You think you know everything about my sister, but you're wrong, you don't know shit. You showed up there whenever you felt like it. Do you really think she killed your child? Because let me tell you, you are further from reality."

Now I was angry, and if it weren't for the promise I made to Megan, this guy would already have a bullet between his eyebrows, "That's what they told me." He said shrugging his shoulders, as if it were nothing out of this world "If you want to believe them that's fine, but I'm warning you about something. Get away from my sister, you have done enough damage by appearing for a single minute in her life."

Hugo took the gun from me, and I turned around to get out of there. When I'm almost out of the alley, I hear someone laugh behind us, which makes me turn and see David laughing at something I have no idea about.

"You really are the Alexandra Megan told me about. Do you really think I believed what they told me? I'm more than sure they were the ones who killed our child. I even thought they had killed you." He assured, the last with a whisper "Well, you can see we're not." I said wryly "Hey, forgive me for what I said earlier about Megan. Really, I don't think so. Do you think you can help me with something?"

"We'd better go talk somewhere else, because I'm pretty sure you're running away from someone." I said without turning completely in his direction, I was angry enough to still smash his face in "How do you know?" he asked surprised "You just have to see how you left the store. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out."

"And where do we go?" he asked again and I rolled my eyes, because he couldn't be more irritating at this moment if he wanted to, I think "Follow us, but I recommend you give us distance." I said "Why?" He asked again "Because I promised I wouldn't do anything to you and in case I found you, he would come with me to prevent me from doing anything to you, but he is angry with you, so the two of us together are not a good combination."

He nodded and stayed with the bodyguards while the two of us walked towards the ship. Hugo pulled me closer to him and begins to caress my arm. "Are you OK?" he asked, kissing me on the temple. "Did you really tell him I was your wife?" I said with a smile on my face "Yes... Well... I... It wasn't for..." he started, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Hey, it's all good. And I must say, it didn't sound too bad." I assured him "What?" he asked surprised and turning away from me a little "I liked the way it sounds, and I also love it when you get all overprotective even though you know full well, I know how to defend myself and I'm deadly."

"I can't help it. I don't like it when they tell you things like the one before, for which he's going to apologize. Who does that guy think he is to tell you those things?" he said annoyed "He's scared, so I understand." I said with a shrug, "How do you know him?" he asked "I don't."

"What? Are you telling me we're taking a stranger to the ship?" he asked pulling away from me a little "Unknown to me." I assured "I'm not understanding anything." He answered and I laughed, because it's not like I understood too much what was happening "That boy was the only good one with Megan in there, and they ended up falling in love. She knows him and it is possible he's the son of Analissa and Francesco."

"What? I understood..." he asked, and I nodded, because both Megan and I thought the same thing "We are the same, that's why I have to find out, for the good of both of us." I said, "So is it true they had something?" he asked, and I nodded "I didn't find out about it until recently, but apparently it is."

"Not convinced?" he asked again, and I shrugged, because I don't know what's convincing me and what's not. "Megan's sure it's him. I just have to make sure why the fuck he disappeared and find out if he's really who he says he is."

"And how are you going to get him tested? Because I'm sure you want to make sure before your mother finds out." He said and I nodded, that's the first thing I had to do "It's not going to be complicated." I said, "Now will you answer the question how are you or will I have to wait for the answer?"

"I'm fine." I assured, because it was not the first time, I had heard something like that, it wasn't something that bothers me too much "Are you sure about that?" he asked. "Yeah, I just want to leave David there and go home to spend the rest of the day with Alison."

"If it's what you want, that's what we'll do." I moved closer to him, and he kissed me on the head. I am tired, but I had to fix all of this before Megan freaked more out or Analissa saw him anywhere.

After a couple more minute's walking, we arrive at the port and a little later at the boat, where I get David on, the bodyguards first, and then Hugo makes me get on, but I'm not going to discuss anything with him right now. moment.

Once inside the boat, I show him where he can go and under no circumstances should he leave the boat. At first, he refuses, but he ends up accepting, I don't know if it was because he saw on my face or what, I guess, if Megan had told him about me in the past, he knows very well I'm not a person you should mess with.

Finally, after a quarter of an hour on the boat, Hugo and I go home without the bodyguards, because I'm more than sure I would need them more than the two of them and once home I would send him more bodyguards.
