CHAPTER 022: We Should Cut Your Tongue

"IMPERTINENT! How could you tell a queen to kneel to you?! ARE YOU SENSELESS?" Princess Liezel exploded. "A statement so bold and audacious is something that I have never heard in my entire life. Mother, are you hearing her? She is prattling inanities!"

Princess Liezel could not atone how brazen this pest had become. It had not been an hour since this woman was dying under her clutches. She killed this princess who was a prick in their throat. How come she was so desperate to annoy the hell out of them?

'Is it not apparent to her that her fate rests entirely in our control? It is a brazen display of arrogance for her to carry herself as if she is superior to us.' Princess Liezel thought as her fists were tightly clenched. She could not wait for people to disappear and slap that pale face of this entitled first Princess.

Princess Yanarym laughed, which caused the third Princess to tremble. Either it was because of fear or too much anger, she could not identify. The first Princess was too much of a puzzle that even the third Princess's emotion was not aligning with what she was thinking.

'How could she be annoying and intimidating at the same time?' Princess Liezel thought. It was rare for her to be intimidated by people. In fact, other than her older sister and mother, no one else could scare the third Princess.

"Why are you so worked up, Princess Liezel?" The first Princess asked with her seraphic face. Princess Liezel took a step back and hid behind Princess Jasmine.

She did not want to admit it, however, her intuition was telling her to back away from princess Yanarym. Crazy people could detect each other. Right now, Princess Liezel was detecting that this crazy royalty in front of her was someone she could not handle.

Maybe that was why it was more irritating. Because she was scared of the person, she was just mistreating a moment ago, And now, she was being intimidated.

"Since Aunt and Cousins are not servants. Of course, there's no need for pleasantries, you may remain standing, or you could leave since your purpose of the visit is done." Princess Yanarym said with an innocent smile.

For some reason, she knew that was not an innocent smile but a vexing façade.

'This pest!' Princess Liezel clenched her fist. She was about to yell at the first Princess, but their eyes met unexpectedly again. That made her hold onto her big sister's sleeve.

The third Princess widened her eyes to glare at the first Princess as her eyebrows furrowed.

"Aren't you leaving?" Princess Yanarym's smiling expression shifted to an indifferent countenance. She looked at them one by one with her cold blazing gaze, the anger was too visible to conceal.

"Mother is here out of concern for your welfare, and you will drag us out?! How are you so ill-mannered!?" Princess Liezel shouted as she used Princess Jasmine's body as if it was a shield against any attack that would the first Princess do.

"Should I offer you tea, then?" Princess Yanarym said apathetically. Her lips were in a straight line and there was no delight in her empty eyes.

Princess Liezel flinched at the cold rebuttal of the first Princess. She felt the goosebumps and felt how the hair on her nape raise from fear.

Within a second, this pest smiled as if she was never glaring at them just moments ago.

'She is crazy, isn't she?' Princess Liezel's eyes widened in a stupor as she stared back at the first Princess. 'It appears that she is even more unhinged than I am. She seems to be aware of my attempt on her life and may seek retribution against me.'

Unlike Princess Jasmine's chaotic mind which was filled with questions. As she was trying to figure out how a person could change so much.

Princess Liezel had no such thoughts; she did not think that this first Princess had changed. In actuality, she was thinking that the reason why the first Princess was behaving like this was that they attempted to assassinate her.

Rodents know how to fight back when cornered, it was no wonder Princess Yanarym would fight back as well.

Princess Liezel never got the chance to associate with Princess Yanarym. As soon as they arrived at the kingdom, the first Princess was already isolated in this palace. When Princess Liezel had the chance to see Princess Yanarym, she was always on the bed, laying sick and always asleep. Because of that, Princess Liezel never got the chance to know what kind of person Princess Yanarym was.

However, based on her big sister, the first Princess was a timid girl. She was not the type to talk back, nor even the courage to strike up a conversation. How could that kind of person talk with that tone to the queen of this kingdom? Even if she were brave right now, she could not become so feisty all of sudden. Was she pretending all this time?

"Forgive me but my inventory is out, and Princess Liezel has no right to be telling me manners. Do you know that?"

"I'm telling you how to behave fairly so you wouldn't repeat this kind of mistake in public to shame our royal name!" Princess Liezel shouted angrily but a hint of dread could be heard in her tone. She did not like the way the first Princess was staring at her.

"Is that so? Then, what punishment shall those who couldn't be watchful of their manners receive?" Princess Yanarym said. She was smiling so wide. She was making it sound like she had a wonderful idea in mind.

"W-what?! You keep on talking back to me, you impudent wench?!"

"LIEZEL!" The second Princess interrupted.

It was when Princess Liezel really felt nervous, her big sister stopping her meant something bad was going to happen.

"You brought up manners, should we straighten out your act first, Princess Liezel?" Princess Yanarym suggested with a sneer. "I know! We should cut your tongue!" She said excitedly and clasped her hands together. "Oh, is that too merciful? Should we cut your head instead?"

The boisterous atmosphere in the spacious bedroom dissipated into a complete hush, as every corner of the room remained still and quiet.
