CHAPTER 030: Information Yanarym Found

"Tsk," Yanarym scowled. "This country is like my home country— On a whole lot of levels. Not just because of the style of clothes and houses. The government as well. Imagine, even the Original who was hidden in the high walls of royalty knew that there was something wrong. Why can't the authority see that?"

Guide-sama: "You mean, the Philippines?" Yanarym nodded again and swiftly shifted the tool in her hand from the pen to the utensils.

She scooped a spoonful of sweet leche flan on the plate. The sweetness of the sugar syrup enveloped the taste buds that she had to close her eyes as she savored the softness and creaminess of the dish. Desserts like this make her brain function so well.

"Hmm, I was a regular citizen of that country in that world, but as far as I could remember, the land in that country was so rich in minerals and such. It was surrounded by the ocean and there were thousands of islands. There were underground mines too. Anyways, the government keeps on wanting to keep their faces so instead of nurturing what was already there. They want to compete in something they don't even have."

Guide-sama: "I guess that's a problem. Competing on something you don't have."

"What? You guessed…? You don't have to guess. It's a real dilemma. How could you win in that?"

Guide-sama: "You want to solve that issue?"

"Hell, no." Yanarym shook her head vigorously. "Why should I do that?"

Guide-sama: "... What?"

"I'm not gonna solve that crisis. How long do you think I should stay here to save this country from that problem?"

Guide-sama: "I'm not sure. How long?"

"For a long, very long time, Guide-sama. I may even use the whole twenty-five years of the reigning period and I won't still be able to solve that. It's regarding nature, you can't control the environment."

Guide-sama: "Then, why are we discussing this?"

"Because I'm taking notes of every problem?"

Guide-sama: "For what? You won't even solve them."

"I won't solve them myself. Someone can. My goal is to become the king of Seerian, Guide-sama. Know the goal!"

Guide-sama: "If so, why are you taking notes on something you won't even solve yourself?"

"As I said, I'm gonna be the King of Seerian! Not just Menotalis. What are kings, Guide-sama?"

Guide-sama: "They are the head of the state."

"Yes, so what do they do?"

Guide-sama: "They make and pass legislation that resides with an elected Parliament."

"...yes… that too. Also, they are the ones who would run their territory with the help of people who would work for them. They think of a solution, and someone gets to do the actual job."

Guide-sama: "Most of the kings' jobs—"

"Not me. So, shut it. I won't take this kind of crisis head-on." Yanarym rolled her eyes and had another bite of her leche flan and drank the cup of water and refilled the wooden cup.

She had to stay at this eatery for a long time.

As she predicted, for almost five hours,

Yanarym collected the general information that was available to the public. Her table was filled with numbers of newspapers from today to the last year.

It was a good thing that other than Esme there were other workers in the diner. Because Esme went outside for an hour just to find the farfetched news from years before wherever she could find it.

First of all, even though there was no news regarding the first Princess's welfare. In the newspaper, specifically, in the gossip section, someone was always talking about when she would return. Especially since the bride selection was just around the corner.

Second, there were three factions between the ministers of the kingdom. Seeing that the public even knows these details means that people knew that the current administration was divided. Having many parties in the court was no surprise, after all, people's opinions and beliefs were always diverse.

In Menotalis that should not be happening.

Seeing that the citizens were not reacting to this event so violently, it must have been happening long ago.

"Must be Eriela," Yanarym mumbled and encircled Eriela's name on the paper that had so many scribbles on it.

"The one faction was against Eriela and the other must be Eriela's. The last faction… it could be the neutral group."

Third, Caius' arrival on Menotalis was a big and major event in Yanarym's life. That man was supposed to be her killer. Of course, it would be easy to avoid death because Yanarym had no intention of falling in love as the Original did. But she needed Caius to fall for her… and not kill her.

"Do I really want him to become my wife?" Yanarym put a big 'x' on Caius' name and wrote it again in an available space. She pressed her lips together and shrugged her shoulders.

"Let's think about it when I see him in person."

Fourth, the access to the characters. Guide-sama's ability to infiltrate the character's mind and whereabouts was limited to the main characters. In this world, Caius was the only main character.

"I can't know anything about the others," Yanarym sighed and slumped her face on the table.

Although Guide-sama could know about the main villain since that person was essential to the story. As of the moment, she did not need that information yet.

"I don't know where to start. The characters, the institution, the constitution, and the Original. So much to do on the first day of coming here. I'm hungry…"

Guide-sama: "You just ate thirty minutes ago."

"Esme! Another serving, please!"

"Coming right up, Young Lady!"

She looked at her papers and there were plenty of problems that this country was facing that were stated in the plot line. She tracked the main data that she should not overlook while she was here, but she could pass once she found a trusted person. And noted the information that she had acknowledged as a problem by herself. She was sure that there was more than this when she started going around the capital to gather more information.

"This was just general news. There must be something more behind the scenes."

Guide-sama: "What do you plan on doing?"
