CHAPTER 031: Indigestion

"I need to strengthen my immunity to poisons. I have to gather as much information from the capital— everything regarding Seerian. I have to study every single law that was passed and approved in this country and other countries. Plus, I have to know every single one of the characters and their background story with their origins."

Guide-sama: "Do you need my help?"

"As much as you could offer to me, thank you."

Guide-sama: "The laws and ordinance, I could digest the book that you read. In exchange, you would have to suffer some painstaking from consuming too much knowledge concerning that."

"You mean, you'll download it to my brain? And it's only gonna hurt?"

Guide-sama: "Yes. It's all right for you even though it's gonna hurt?"

"It's great. Either way, my brain will still hurt."

Guide-sama: "However…"

"However?"

Guide-sama: "You have to see the book yourself."

"I'm sorry, what? I still have to study?"

Guide-sama: "You have to scan the book; you need to see it yourself. I can memorize them for you."

"Like I have to scan it and I could automatically memorize it?"

Guide-sama: "Yes. And I could not comprehend the content. You have to be the one who could identify and understand it."

"That's cool. I'll take what you can offer. So, we should head to the bookstore after I finish eating."

Esme came with another tray of food.

This time it was for dinner.

"That looks delish," Yanarym said as she inhaled the aromatic scent of the roasted meat.

"Thank you, Young Lady. This glazed lamb meat is cooked very carefully by our chef, Chef Eke."

"Oh, please tell the chef that the meals are so wonderful, I could not stop eating."

Guide-sama: "You are just a glutton."

'Shut up, Guide-sama. You don't even have a stomach. You do not know my pain.'

"That would be my pleasure. Eke is having a blast preparing your meals. He never encountered a lady that could eat so much of his cooking."

"There are so many customers that are coming into your inn. I think I'm not the only person that eats a lot."

"Oh, no. Young Lady. You eat like a barbarian." Yanarym laughed, she should take that as a compliment… "You should eat Young Lady. We're already preparing your next batch of meals. It's beef," Esme said.

Yanarym bit her lips and prevented herself from smiling, but her eyes sparkled. She cannot wait for the next batch; she was sure that would be delicious as well.

Guide-sama: "The Original's stomach was not as bottomless as your appetite. You're gonna get indigestion."

'It's the matter of will, Guide-sama. I'll never have a stomachache.'

Yanarym left the inn around ten in the evening. When she came into the eatery she could barely walk because of hunger and malnutrition. When she walked out, she could barely walk because she over-ate.

Guide-sama, who had the lips of the devil, made its warning come true.

She spent almost an hour and a half in the toilet because her intestines were rumbling and causing destruction. Esme bought her a potion that would soothe her stomach and Eke brewed her the medicine.

Eke told her to return tomorrow, and they would serve her a bunch of meals suitable for her to gain her nutrition back. Yanarym would gladly do so. She would make sure that the stomach of this body would become bottomless in no time.

Guide-sama: "I told you so."

"Shut up." Yanarym's face was disgruntled.

She was hugging her tummy, the medicine and potion helped her, but the pain was still there.

"This won't cause me to reduce my food intake."

Guide-sama: "You deserve that stomachache."

"Curse you, Guide-sama."

Guide-sama: "Shut up."

The capital in the night was livelier than it was in the morning. The stalls that were open in the daylight were changed into something different at the night.

The smell of booze and affordable skewers were available on the street. There were games and bargains, and odd stuff that was being sold. Seeing the familiar food on the street Yanarym's back straightened as if she never suffered bellyache and indigestion. She sprinted to the barbeque stall.

"How much for these?" Yanarym asked as she placed ten skewer sticks of chicken's small intestine and ten skewer sticks of pig intestine above the scorching coal, on the barbecue grill.

"Ten bronze for one stick of chicken's intestine, twenty for the stick of pig's intestine. And ten bronze coins for the Betamax barbeque; the liver would cost fifteen. Chicken breast cost thirty bronze. The chicken feet are five coins—" Yanarym nodded as she placed more meat on the parrilla grill.

She would have to study later; she needed a late-night snack to make her mind alive.

"How much is all that?" She asked.

"Nine copper coins." Yanarym paid for one silver coin and the vendor gave her one copper coin as her change.

Her pouch was heavy enough because it was full of coins. Why did the paper bill not exist here yet?

'I should probably add that once I become a king. Paper bills.'

After placing her orders, Yanarym told the vendor that she would pick up her order around midnight.

She hurried to get out of the busy alley, to finish her business for the day; excited to go home to eat.

Guide-sama: "You don't learn, do you?"

She had to go to a twenty-four-seven bank, pawnshop, or something similar to that so she could exchange her gold coins for copper coins. Most of the prices in this capital would just cost her copper. Bronze coins would suffice. She just learned from Esme that gold coins were extremely high in value, in fact, her unlimited meal in the inn only cost her five silver coins or one gold coin.

One bronze coin was equivalent to one peso.

One-hundred bronze coins were equivalent to one copper coin.

Ten copper coins were equivalent to one silver coin.

Ten silver coins were equivalent to one gold coin.

Since the first Princess grew up as a princess and was isolated; she did not know a lot of things. That includes even this basic knowledge from the outside which for example was the currency.

In a nutshell, Yanarym was stepping out from the castle completely ignorant of crucial matters on how to live and blend.
