CHAPTER 041: You Don’t Know My Pain

"Your Highness?" Aliah was flabbergasted.

Yanarym nonchalantly flipped the page once more.

"B-b-but…"

"You alone cannot clean this entire place. Wait for the other servants and you do that. For now, the most important task is feeding me. Do you understand?"

"Ye…yes, Your Highness."

"Also, you have to be mindful of the day."

"The day?"

"I don't eat that often but when I do I want a feast."

"Yes?"

"For example, today and tomorrow, you don't have to send me anything in the entire day. Because I'll be fasting."

"Fasting, Your Highness will fast?"

Guide-sama: "Fasting? You fast, Yanarym?"

"Yes, I'm fasting. It's one of my ways to grieve my parents' death."

"...Your Highness…" Aliah's eyes immediately became teary.

"Hmm, so during those days of my fast, you do not have to come in here. I want to be alone. Are we clear?"

"Yes, Your Highness."

"Anyways, on the third day, you have to give me a feast. I have to eat— give me a lot."

"As you wish, Your Highness."

"All right. So, Ali, for the time being, you have to live where you are staying right now. I'll invite you here once my social standing has returned."

"A-as you wish, Your Highness."

Aliah was forced to conceal her disappointment, but Yanarym could see through her, and she was not that affected.

"That's great… you can leave."

"Yes! Yes! Rest well, Your Highness! May the Seerian's sun bless you!"

Guide-sama: "You fast, Yanarym? Since when did you start not eating?"

"Are you stupid? Of course, I don't fast. I need my body and brain to function. I need food."

Guide-sama: "Then, what about what you just said right now?"

Yanarym flipped the final page of what she had been reading and scanned the contents fast.

"An excuse?"

"I'm not done yet with my business outside the palace, I can't have her freely roaming in my room, and anywhere. I'm still not sure whether I want her or not."

Guide-sama: "What do you mean?"

"I'm not decided whether to make her my piece."

Guide-sama: "Your piece?"

"Yep."

Guide-sama: "Isn't she already part of the game? Queen Eriela placed her on the board already."

"Eriela did use her as a pawn, but this is my game, I get to decide the roles," Yanarym said. "I'm done with this book now; I have to go out to have my breakfast and my poisons."

She placed the book back under her bed and stood up. She entered her wardrobe and went straight to her jewelry boxes.

It was almost empty.

She took the gold bracelets and a diamond necklace. This should be an efficient payment for her fourth-week supply of poison and meals. She did not have to buy books from the outside anymore so that could be taken out of the budget calculations. Regarding the meals, she could save a lot of money by eating here.

She did not have any more funds for the upcoming week for the venoms, and adeuzo supplies.

She took her wig from the silver box and the cloak, and the magical bag that could have unlimited amounts of things in it, this cost her fortune as well.

Magical things were all expensive.

She wore her glasses and the common clothes she bought in the thrift market, then wore the magical cloak that could prevent someone from distinguishing her majestic … air.

She was not aware of it at the beginning but after reading stuff about the royalties she learned so many things about them.

They have some distinct traits from normal people. Aside from the hair and the eyes, they have some air… of something.

It was not farting.

Just it was about their vibes or something like that. She did not know because she was royalty but according to the book she read, other people who were not royalty could feel that air of something.

She certainly had that feeling towards the princesses and the queen earlier.

When she asked Mel, Rina, Eke, and Esme about it, it was confirmed as a fact. She asked Derop about it too, the old man who sells her drugs and poison, and he said the same. So, to be safe, she bought this cloak which prevented people from feeling something about her presence.

She did not want to get caught escaping in her palace or become detected by the main villain who had the deepest grudge towards the royalties and out of nowhere got killed without knowing.

She took the sandals she bought as well and looked at her get-up in the mirror. With this big messy curly hair and the glasses that would hide away her royalty traits, no one would suspect her.

Perfect.

It was a good disguise, but it was a ridiculously searing outfit. No ventilation where her pores could breathe.

It was an annoying get-up.

In the capital where the trees were so far away, and the people were always crowded, the pungent smell of blended sweat and dirt and some unknown scent was all over the place.

The air conditioner did not exist but there was this technology from Toliream for some reason, the Menotalians do not promote anything that came from Toliream. It was such a waste…

It was almost Bermonth when it would usually make the surrounding very cold in tropical countries like this country.

It was like this world was having a climate change of its own.

Guide-sama: "It will rain later, bring an umbrella."

"It's in the satchel."

Guide-sama: "You should wear boots instead of sandals. The forest is muddy because it rained last night."

"No, boots will make me feel scalded."

Guide-sama: "You are exaggerating."

"You don't know my pain."

Yanarym look around her room to see if anything seemed out of order but seeing it as cluttered as ever, she nodded her head and feel assured.

She went through her door and sneakily walked out without getting caught by anyone. She was safe as a sling as that new variable would not do anything like spying.

Probably that could happen later.
