Slap!

A crisp hit on the skin dominated the dead silent room. A woman's heavy breathing could be heard, and the swift rustles of the fabrics underlined the pressure building in each second.

Lavished with gold and silver furniture, the fabrics were either silk or wool, coated in yellow and red color, everything appeared majestic. The floor was draped with soft and thick carpet that could make the feet sink as they stepped in. The walls were decorated with abstract yet marvelous paintings. It was a grandiose bedroom…

The scenery, the air, and the tidiness were so different from where they just had been.

Three women were standing inside the wide and extravagant chamber room.

The woman who closed the double door was wearing a pastel pink satin-weaved chiffon thin off-shoulder dress, the length was to her ankles. A ribbon with a darker shade of pink was wrapped around her waist that emphasized her thin physique. Her blonde hair was laid down that covered her delicate skin, an alluring neck, and collarbone. Her hands were wearing gloves which were made of white lace embroidered with vivid depictions of flora. She was the third princess who was stunned next to the door.

Her oceanic eyes were wide open and her frail white hands concealing her mouth gaping from stupefaction.

Another blow of a hard slap reverberated through the enclosed bedroom.

It was followed by the sound of a thud which was the sound of the second princess's falling body on the floor.

Princess Jasmine stood up as if nothing happened, she kept her head down to appear remorseful. Her shoulders were poised with a dignified stance as she kept her back straight.

The stinge that was burning her left and right cheek was overlooked. By reflex, her emerald-jaded eyes closed when Queen Eriela's delicate yet slightly sweaty hand was about to hit Princess Jasmine's face once more.

Slap!

The sharp and loud impact could make anyone foresee how solid that smack was. Princess Liezel flinched witnessing the consecutive beating her older sister was receiving from their mother.

She kept her hands covering her mouth and she managed to look away from their direction.

It did not look like it because of the queen's small and lovely physique, however, no one could refute the fact that Queen Eriela's hand was heavy.

Thud!

Princess Jasmine clenched her jaw and maintained her rigid expression. Her face was void of emotion which made her appear like a person that was feeling nothing from the beating of Queen Eriela.

In effect, this fueled Queen Eriela's eagerness to penalize the second princess. She reached out for Princess Jasmine's black hair and pulled it without restraint.

Princess Jasmine got back up on her feet, her eyebrows were creased yet she did not say any objection.

There was a burning sensation spreading on her neck because of the abrupt turn of her head.

The throbbing of her scalp made her think that she could go bald from the way her mother pulled her hair. The slaps were painful enough for her cheeks to feel her skin blistering.

Nonetheless, she instantly felt numbness the seconds after. She was expecting this much at least from her mother's anger.

"ARE YOU REALLY THIS STUPID?!" Queen Eriela huffed.

Princess Jasmine kept her hands to herself, she wanted to caress her cheeks that received the impactful hit from her mother's beating. Her loose hair was covering her countenance. She could have presumed her cheeks would be so swollen tonight until the next few days.

"HOW COULD YOU CREATE SUCH A BLUNDER, JASMINE!?"

The Queen was so furious. She had an ugly expression; she was surrounded by dark and sinister glooms. Her entire face was red that reached up to her neck. Her compassionate smile was turned into gnashing of teeth, her nose was flared, and her angelic eyes were flaring and gawking in the second Princess's direction like a demon.

She was embarrassed by that daughter of Eulasha, and her reaction was either dazed or subservient. The more she grasped what had happened in the first Princess's boudoir, the angrier Queen Eriela felt.

No one in this kingdom could take the fury surging in her other than the second princess who committed the error.

Princess Jasmine claimed that Princess Yanarym had died. She said that the first princess was forcefully killed by them. That part was already maddening enough, that was never part of her agenda. Nothing infuriated her more than the events transpiring the way she had designed them to flow.

When they anticipated Princess Yanarym to be a frigid corpse, they unexpectedly discovered her alive and well.

The Queen of this country was ridiculed; she was made a fool of!

Because they were bewildered, they were induced to favor the person they ought to be eliminating.

As of these very seconds, Queen Eriela was furiously enraged; she was incapable of containing it without losing her mind.

That was the worst of the worst scenarios that could have happened to her.

"Forgive me, Moth—" Princess Jasmine was about to apologize since she believed that Queen Eriela had already extinguished her rage when she took another harsh hit.

"DON'T YOU DARE CALL ME YOUR MOTHER, IMBECILE!" Princess Jasmine bit the tip of her tongue and tasted the rustic flavor in her mouth.

She fixed her posture and faced Queen Eriela, she kept her eyes on the ground, not daring to challenge her mother's wrath. "WHAT WAS THAT?! EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT WAS THAT JASMINE!"

"I was sure she died, my Queen." Princess Jasmine maintained her noble attitude as her voice never trembled nor stammered.

She was nervous when she was about to say that PrincessYanarym had died. However, after all the things that happened, Princess Jasmine was uncertain about what she should be feeling or even thinking.

"YOU WERE SURE?! THEN, WHY WAS THAT GIRL STANDING AND TALKING TO ME, JASMINE!? DID THAT GIRL LOOK DEAD RIGHT THERE?!" The ear-piercing scream of Queen Eriela filled the four corners of the space.
