Chapter 192: I Beat People With Depression (3)

|Author's note: Might be slow for the next couple days, I got several essays to complete by the end of the week (One by tomorrow, and I haven't even start it yet), but still daily uploads, don't worry.|

3rd Person POV

*On the other side*

"Sir, about the permission-"

"Granted." Cain didn't even let Keith finish his sentence "After all, to think that the boy secretly had another ability, the body is of course personally stored and observed by me, and if your guess is right...well, we'll be able to check whoever is hiding additional abilities and accurately assessed them."

"Yes sir." Keith nodded "Loki was unique, I tested him personally, he was one where potential was boundless, the only thing that could stop his illusions and projections was his imagination which we were ordered by you to limit because his illusions were strong enough to the point where no one can tell the false from the truth.

"The only thing that's stopping him was that Loki can't warp or change reality, he managed to somehow raise his powers to be on a similar level to the original Loki out of anger. And if the potential exists again in all of your other children, we can't let it go to waste like his, he became a person that we can't touch because Brianna became a very famous activist, and she made sure that he can lead a normal life since the other in their group died by our hands."

"Well, he isn't my child, Loki, in particular, is only my grandson." Cain corrected "Many of my past descendants managed to get past our weaker security, though most of them were weak, they've managed to produce quite a few special ones, like Loki, using my genes to produce more powerful test subjects seems to be a success if we're willing to wait. It took quite long to track the escapees, and find out they've produced wonderful children."

"But sir, even though we have your permission, bodies to be studied like Lucifer's and Loki's may become beyond repair." Keith replied "This project I'm proposing is very risky, developing the technology we have today has made us lose several apocalypse-level subjects before."

"Well, I have a lot of time." Cain joked "And we have a lot of hidden apocalypse-level subjects to be studied out there, and if it were up to the people, about half rather want them dead or gone, losing about 5 is nothing."

*Back in the present world*

The matchup between Perseus and his opponent were close and intense, the fight could be either won by one or the other, and it was reaching its climax, when there's a lack of magic, Perseus uses his powers of the blue rose to compensate, he became stronger and faster every time he does.

He didn't need to use his other powers for a chance to win and he feels a bit happy that he can still stand a chance without needing to use extra help, his opponent was also having fun, to fight a person whose name is known throughout every continent, winning or losing, will only boost his title and status.

But, his motivation to win this fight, is to claim the title as the first man to ever beat Perseus Silver in a fight, Perseus is known to nitpick his fights and fight only those he can win, for once, he is fighting someone on equal grounds, and he will make full use of this opportunity.

The arena is filled with many different explosions and colorful spells, but they then decide to conclude the exciting match with one last clash, just like every great stereotypical battle that the author forces me to narrate.

|Yo, narrator, I don't hire you to go off the script, stick to it.|

Help me, he hasn't paid me in 2 years.

Anywho, Perseus used the blue rose petals and constructed a large blue lily flower which exploded into particles of blue butterflies flapping away, his opponent survived that and used his remaining mana to summon another dragon made of sand and rocks, and sent it to Perseus, who dodged it by diving into the shadows and appearing in front of his opponent who thought Perseus might appear right behind him only to turn back and see no one, by the time he could see Perseus, he was knocked out cold and Perseus was named the victor of that match.

"Yo, Lilith, where are you going?" Roxa asked as she confronted her fellow general

Roxa and Amethyst went to Lilith's private box room and waited outside her doors once she saw that Perseus was on the path of winning, they trust that as a fellow lord, he won't disappoint their title and they were right.

"What do you want?" Lilith replied

"Are you going off to a nearby pub?"

"I've been told to not drink for a while, so no."

"By whom?" Amethyst joined in "Perseus Silver?"

"No, by another member of the Silver family who I shall not name."

"You are always cold to me you know, Roxa receive better treatment, heck even that other...possible traitor receive better treatment than me." Amethyst then chuckled in amusement "And how are you so familiar with his family?"

"Tch, slut, you were always my least favorite rose."

"What was that, you bitch?!" Roxa then had to separate the 2

"Amethyst, I said we were here only to question, not to fight." Roxa said in her calmest tone

"How's your 2 husband treating you?" Lilith continued to mock "I heard one lost a duel to Rolan Urgess the other day?"

"That's because Ronald-Dammit, I told him many times he sucks at fighting." Amethyst muttered and then stopped herself "Besides if you're gonna call me that, Perseus Silver is no different, you are one of the woman hanging around him"

"I know." Lilith interrupted her "He's just like you, I get it, but this is my business, so I do what I want. Better finish your job first, cuz if you don't you'll have to work overtime and your husbands will be very very sad."

Lilith did a fake crying taunt and left the scene as Roxa held Amethyst back.

"Hey, she's still a fellow general." Roxa reasoned

"I swear, it's as if she's my sister or something." Amethyst said after she calmed down "She always knows details about me that I haven't even told you."
