Chapter 256: Mothers (3)

Leilah POV

We made it back to the stairs, and the corpse where I used magic to make it decompose for intimidation purposes is still there. I don't really know if I miss this place since it's just lonely, but I did spend a lot of time here, so there are memories here.

"You can all go ahead, the gravity thing no longer works."

Everyone then heads upstairs. But my eyes can only look at my future adopted children as I pulled the tied-up Perseus up the stairs, currently he got a piece of tape to shut his mouth, so he can't complain, the fox was annoying, so we tied him up as well using Lilith's binding made from her mana to hold them down.

Anyway, my future children, words alone cannot fully capture the overwhelming cuteness that radiates from these precious beings who have captured my heart. I can't wait to see some of my own, with Perseus' looks and mine, I'm sure that our child together will be adorable beyond comprehension.

They are so smart and mature...well, for now, I have to make sure Perseus doesn't attract any other unwanted woman. We're all already going to have too many children collectively, if my mother have a child with Perseus...would they be my sibling, or will they be my children...

Well, my sisters are one thing, I can adopt them as my own children, but with my mother involved...I knew I should have just tried to just end her there and then, luckily Maple was there to hold me back.

I've been spanking that ketchup bottle for a long time, Lilith already made use of it by tilting the bottle slightly, but I'll make sure that my mother doesn't get any more of the leftover ketchup and use that for myself.

Enough of my awful comparison, since Perseus is now stuck like that for a bit, I'll do the narration. We head to the top and we then gathered our blood all into one giant bowl that we brought along.

We used magic to make sure they don't float as we mix them before using the same magic to pour them on the sun and moon symbol, the instructions for this are found in the orb, apparently if you mess it up in a certain way, it'll give out instructions for how to activate the altar.

Perseus confirmed it on just his first try since a half-breed's blood will instantly turn the orb and create the instructions, and we then already had most of the people necessary for it while we gathered the others.

The Altar then started to shake and I can feel it somewhat shrinking and trying to morph into something else instead of just opening a secret hatch, so we rushed down the stairs, well more like we just use magic to teleport us down the stairs for a quick escape.

*****

"It's our old house!" Ruka exclaimed in an unusual excitement that I don't see often.

I can understand though, I turned and can see that Maple and Lilith were giving confused looks, well they weren't born yet after all.

I see this house every time I close my eyes and journey back to the cherished memories of my childhood, I find myself standing once again in front of the same beloved colonial-style home.

You will all find it strange that we had a house of such a style long ago but my father was very creative in wanting to impress our mother.

This house holds the essence of my upbringing, a sanctuary of warmth and familiarity that shaped the person I am today. As I approach the elegant entrance, a sense of nostalgia washes over me. The white columns, standing tall and proud, frame the doorway like guardians of the memories within.

The exterior is both inviting and comforting, welcoming me back to a time when life was simpler. There's the long window box where Mom used to plant us as well. Even though the mention of her now angers me quite a bit.

It's where we were literally roses without our current guardian body, nostalgic, but it does feel restrictive now that I have this body, the me back then would have dreamt of such freedom.

Moving through the archway, I enter the heart of our home: the kitchen. Here, the aroma of freshly baked soup still lingers in the air, invoking memories with my siblings then, we got along so well.

I got upstairs and went into my room. My minimalistic bedroom, my oasis, and paradise back then.

There's a low platform bed, in white linens, with just one pillow offering a minimalist aesthetic. There are two sleek nightstands on either side, providing functional surfaces without unnecessary adornments. And there's one closet, that's it, no desk or anything.

It does feel a bit empty, with no paintings, no...anything, spacious, no wonder we always played in my room.

"Can we go do our job now?" Perseus asked

"How'd you get the tape out?"

"Saliva does wonders, terrible experience though, anyway, we either rest or go back to our job."

"Well we can rest here, the house got a protective barrier that is continuously circulating air while protecting us, we'll work after."

I then untied him and the fox before pulling my boyfriend onto the bed with me, the bed isn't as soft as I remembered, it was probably due to being spoiled by Perseus' custom purchases, but I still slept here anyway, it's still so nice and cozy.

"Stop kissing my neck." he requested "Nd stop giving me that look."

"Why? You let Lilith have her ways in seducing you."

"It was quite literally torture."

"But if you lost, you would have still had a fun time. Besides, no one has done it on the moon before...we can be the first."

"Not now, we'll return some other day." He responded and kissed me for a long while before separating "Can I go do what we're here to do?"

"Fine, I expect a lot of affection next time."

"Sure."
