Chapter 334: Casual Outing (5)

Leilah POV

"Well, that was quick." Ruka commented as we arrived back at the arcade.

There was already lunch set up for us, Mom's subordinates did a good job as they arranged a wide variety of Japanese food for us to experience, there was sushi and sashimi to tempura and ramen, they covered all the bases and made sure we had a truly authentic culinary experience.

Though I have quite a hard time using chopsticks, even in my original world, you usually don't use them at all, and among the Silvers, only Perseus uses them and his parents consider him weird for that.

Lilith, surprisingly, caught on the quickest, though clumsy, she can do it and doesn't have to rely on the children's chopsticks like the rest of us. Apparently, she has tried to use them before due to the Japanese hero who she befriended.

As for Ruka, she was the quickest to learn how to operate the technological devices of this world and has managed to bring up the news of the world's reaction to the destruction of the facilities belonging to H.A.P.P.Y Solutions.

Their employees are probably jobless due to us, but it's, unfortunately, a sacrifice that we have to make, their main headquarter will definitely have to pay the employees some compensation as they will be out of a job for a while if they don't and are going to be cheap, they'll be severely scrutinized and the media's attention on then will worsen.

After lunch at the arcade, we teleported to some tourist attractions, and I then checked the time, we placed some timed explosion spells at some of the facilities to destroy it while we're visible to the public, it'll lessen the chances of suspicions being cast on us.

And it didn't take long for Ruka to show us the live news video thing where the on-site reporters are trying to describe the situation the best they can. But I didn't focus too much on it as I was trying to enjoy the scenery.

This is the first time where I'm actually walking among the people of this world and seeing the scenery in person.

The urban scenery of Tokyo's skyscrapers and historic temples, the tranquility of Kyoto's traditional architecture, and the vibrant scenery of Osaka's entertainment districts, it was beautiful.

As we venture into the countryside, the landscape morphs with the seasons. Cherry blossoms paint spring in soft pink, autumn leaves set the scenery ablaze, and snow-capped mountains create a serene backdrop.

It was an amazing experience. Perseus was just focused on buying a lot of souvenirs and electronic devices to bring over to the other side though. mom said that she has these wifi devices things that were made to work on the other side, so he was more than happy to buy a lot to make sure it won't go to waste.

And once we're in this cable cars thing, Perseus handed me a small wrapped gift. As I unwrapped the small box he handed me, my heart raced with a mix of excitement and curiosity.

And inside was a silver bracelet with my name engraved in it. I then put it on and earned an envious glare from the fox. I just stuck my tongue out at him, I knew that he hate wearing collars, and as a fox, it's not like he likes jewelry either, so the best gift he's ever going to get is probably a home-cooked meal by Perseus.

"Don't worry Bud, if you want an engraved collar or something, let me know." He said to the fox, "I'll buy one for ya."

"I'm feeling left out." Lilith spoke up.

"I thought you said that you didn't like jewelry." I responded.

"I don't, I have more than enough of them, but that doesn't mean I don't feel left out." she pouted.

"I do have a gag gift for you if you want." Perseus offered and Lilith was intrigued by the offer, "Ya want it?"

"Sure." she nodded

"Close your eyes."

She did and he then took out a collar from his storage spell and placed it around her neck, she used her hands to touch it and her eyes opened instantly, she then took the tag off of the collar and read it aloud.

"Lilith Silver. If lost, please return them to the owner...Perseus..." she trailed off and glared at Perseus who was whistling and looking off in the distance.

"He did say that it was a gag gift." Mom chuckled.

"Unfortunately for you, I got no gag reflexes."

"That's...not what I meant."

"I'm expecting a genuine gift next time, and I'll play along for now." Lilith pouted ever harder with a red flushed face.

"Wait, you're not gonna take it off?" Perseus asked

"Well, I'm your possession now, right? Might as well wear it and embarrass you by clinging to you in public with this on."

"Wait, snap it off, I didn't expect this!"

Perseus POV

Yesterday was fun, we didn't sleep at all as we used to teleport to go explore Japan as best we can, the Cruise is now leaving for its next destination, South Korea. Once we were on the cruise, I went into the shadows and left to destroy a couple more facilities, and sure enough, I'm seeing supers or now mutants guarding each site.

Not like it helped, But Dawn also said that her sources have revealed that apocalypse and extinction class mutants are now on the move to search for the culprits. It won't be long till we have to clash with the gods on their side, so I'm going to need to look for allies, most gods have chosen to stay out of this, so only one comes to mind, Jerah.

He's overprotective of his daughters, and even if I can't manipulate him to fully help me, having him provide some information would be nice.

"I already tried calling Jerah, he won't come to visit with you here," Dawn responded once she heard my plans, "He rather not see his daughters unhappy with him being hostile to you."

"Does he know our address?"

"Well, he can track the cruise down since I told him the name of the ship." Dawn answered, "After all, the girls are his daughters, he may want to visit them. But he rather not come here even when I insisted, he knows that we need his help and he rather not meddle.."

"How good are you at calming an angry overprotective god down?"

"Pretty good, and even more effective if it's Jerah."

"Alright, give me your phone, I'll bring him over with 2 words."

"I'm scared and intrigued, go ahead." Dawn then handed me her phone and already clicked the call button.

"Hey Dawn, how may I help you?" Jerah greeted me from the other side of the phone.

"Maple's pregnant." I then hung up the call.
