Chapter 345: Ghosts (2)

Maple POV

"Oh, you calmed down."

Ace and Buddy seem to have become decent friends lately, but it makes sense, they're both small animals, and they both are magical beings, except one can talk and mimic human speech. The biology of other universes is so fascinating.

Biologically, in our world and the world I'm currently in, animals can't mimic human speech, but in that other universe...not only are they powerful, but there are also many things I want to learn.

"I told him something and he seems convinced." Ace replied as he placed his paws atop Buddy's head, "I even convinced him to no longer try to separate Perseus and Leilah, or was it Lilith?"

"How?"

"As for me, my favorite person in the world is my Perseus, who's stuck at home and looking after his kids, so I have no plans on stealing this Perseus from him. As for Leilah...well, I told him about how cute those children of theirs will be. A little Perseus jr running around would be one of the cutest things ever, and I told him to look forward to that."

"Your Perseus...just how strong is he exactly?" I asked out of curiosity

The thought of an opponent capable of defeating a god is both awe-inspiring and unsettling. If a god, often seen as an all-powerful entity, can be brought down, it raises questions about the true extent of power in that world.

If such an opponent exists, what kind of abilities, knowledge, or resources do they possess? It's as if a whole new realm of possibilities opens up, one where the boundaries of power are redefined. This realization, though, also sparks a sense of vulnerability.

If a god can be defeated, then what chance would mere mortals stand against such a force? I'm surprised that no gods have teamed up to fight against such a force. Will our Perseus be able to reach the same level?

It's hard to say if he is truly a calamity and is fated to destroy this world...will we be able to stop him if that's the case?

"Well, to put it simply, even if your whole group teams up, you will lose." Ace answered, "I alone can take a god and win, and my strength is several times weaker than his."

"What about Amora? Lilith plans on arguing her strength by fighting her in a spar."

"She came from a universe where she was one of Perseus' men, they were in a rebellion and fighting against an opponent strong enough to destroy their universe. She's more than tough enough to knock Lilith out without Lilith even responding."

Oh, that means that I should make a call and warn Lilith before she messes up.

Dawn POV

As I sat in my room, I heard a knock on my door and one of my subordinates appeared and gave me a piece of documents.

"The headquarters have Wrath and Lust guarding it at the bottom-most floor, and this is the best I've gathered." she reported, "I'll be heading back now, the headquarters break time is long, but we're usually not allowed to leave the building."

"Good work."

I closed the door and headed back to the bed where I sat and read the files. Too bad that they can't send it through email since it's traceable and always inspected by their security team.

I have to read it quickly before sending it to Perseus, who plans on infiltrating the place soon.

Instead of exuding an aura that arouses people, one of Lust's powers is a siren's call, an irresistible allure that creeps into the mind like tendrils of mist. It distorts reason, kindles forbidden desires, and turns even the strongest wills into puppets dancing to a seductive melody.

Those ensnared by Lust's power are led down a path of their own undoing, their judgment clouded by a haze of insatiable want. Their focus narrows, fixating on the object of their desires, blinding them to consequences and reason.

The enthralling mist seeps into the deepest recesses of the heart, unveiling hidden desires and amplifying them until they become all-consuming obsessions.

The power of Lust doesn't just prey on the individual's vulnerabilities; it also seeks to unravel the bonds of unity that hold groups together. It whispers doubt into the ears of allies, twisting camaraderie into rivalry. Trust erodes as jealousy and longing breed suspicion. Those who once stood shoulder to shoulder find themselves divided by a chasm of want.

Resisting Lust's power requires an iron will, a steadfast determination to see beyond the beguiling illusions it weaves. But even the strongest minds can falter in the face of its enchantment. The allure is subtle yet overwhelming, an intoxicating symphony that beckons even the most noble souls to dance dangerously close to the abyss.

Perseus should be advised to not go against her as he is a lustful man with a harem...Okay, I think that my subordinate included some of her personal opinion of Perseus after that. What about Wrath?

Wrath, however, is as we expected. He exudes an aura that causes an internal turmoil that ignites the darkest corners of the heart. It feeds on grievances and injustices, magnifying them until they become a blinding rage.

To resist Wrath's power demands a herculean effort of self-control, a battle against the storm raging within. It requires channeling the volatile energy of anger into a focused determination, a tempered strength that acknowledges the source of frustration without succumbing to its destructive force.

Perseus is also advised not to go against him recklessly as he is also blinded by rage when it comes to Cain and specifically Keith Hughes, who is still working in the company. Even if it's a controlled rage, when going against Wrath, all of his mental control may go out of the window.

I then scanned the document and sent it to Perseus who was out trying to talk Meira into going into the bunker. My life sure has been complicated ever since coming to this world.

For now, I'll have to depend on Leilah to get information about the other 5 since these 2 are the only ones who have ever been somewhat sighted.
