Chapter 369: Stay Put (6)

Perseus POV

The fight went on and I'll be honest, her extinction class ability isn't labeled that high for no reason, Maple had to create a barrier to confine us in so that the damages don't spread any further, her power was beyond destructive, she could quickly annihilate a small country by her own.

At this point, we were ignoring the monster being held back by Maple's magic. But from the corner of my eye, that thing is obviously more powerful than Mana, I don't know how it was possible to modify a human to such a degree, but it was much more powerful than any weapon.

I kinda just wanna knock it out, contain it, and then drop it in the demon continent, and let it go toe to toe with one of their generals. it'll lose, but it'll spook them enough. However, I rather not risk it.

Back to my current fight, the battle rages on and the destructive forces unleashed by Mana continue to wreak havoc. Mana, despite her fierce determination, begins to falter under the weight of her own powers. Her attacks grow weaker, and her movements sluggish. I can see the toll it's taking on her.

Physically, she was fine, but the amount of exhaustion that she must be feeling is immense, at this point, she was just fighting to leave some sort of damage before she fell. I can see the desperation and realization in her eyes, she can't win.

Her magic is being used to amplify her goddess power, but her magic isn't that strong, her opponents to spar with and practice with using magic in this world aren't that strong, so her magic isn't that well-crafted.

Her opponents are only other Urgesses, since the gods are never gonna practice with mortals, fighting against other mages isn't her strongest suit.

With a final, desperate surge of energy, Mana launches one last devastating attack. It's a blinding burst of power that engulfs the entire area, causing a cataclysmic explosion that sends shockwaves rippling through the surroundings.

When the smoke and debris settle, Mana lies defeated, her powers exhausted. The once-potent Extinction Class abilities that threatened to tear apart the world are no more. She is battered and broken, her body scorched and bruised. It healed once again, but she couldn't even get up.

Mana lies defeated amidst the wreckage, her tears mingling with the dust and debris. She then cries out in anguish.

"Why?" she shouts at the world, her voice trembling with despair, "Why am I so weak? Why have my plans fallen apart?"

"You were consumed by vengeance, Mana," I say, my tone measured. "It blinded you to the consequences of your actions and blinded you from seeing proper openings."

"And you, you stand there like you've won like you're better than me."

"I am, I withstood your attacks like nothing. After all, how am I going to kill the heroes or the demon lord if I can't even take your hits like nothing."

They weren't nothing, but overpowered protagonist here, gotta let the others see it that way. I kinda wish I had a band of people who reiterate everything I do, like 'No way, he beat this strong-ranking person at such an age?!', 'I can't wait to see what he's like when he's at the dao dragon immortal celestial godly stupidly long name realm' or 'he's not a genius, but he's a monster'.

"So how do you wanna die? Magic bullet through the head? Sword through the heart? I'll take suggestions."

"I can't die by those methods." she replied, "I heal too quickly, I also donated my body to help create that thing over there, you have to erase everything all at once."

"Well, that should be easy." a voice said and I turned to see a cat on my shoulder

"Hey, how ya doing? I'm the cute cat mascot, Ace." Ace introduced himself with a sarcastic salute, "I specialize in spatial magic, I can erase anything out of existence within a second, it'll be painless."

"Yeah, go ahead."

And in an instant, a gray-colored magic appeared in front of us and outright deleted Mana out of existence, and he did it for the manticore as well.

"Want me to help you with that ugly one over there?" he asked

"That'll save us time...but not yet. Maple! Bring the idiot."

The fight ended up being a bit anti-climatic there, but...this was to make Keith suffer...if he saw his prized project being completely erased within a couple of seconds right in front of him would definitely hurt him.

*****

The monster is now contained within a magical barrier and is going wild within it, my curiosity would love to see the thing go wild and show its full capability, but that'll be no use to anyone.

We relocated to a random field in Australia somewhere after sensing a lot of powerful figures coming in our direction. We were supposed to go to France since there is a place where it's out of Cain's reach, however, Ace and Amora are now wanted by the French Government. Something about the 2 gods always running and escaping everywhere once they realized that these 2 were overpowered.

"Release the gag please."

"You vile creature! You should have stayed as an experiment! You were meant to be a stepping stone to my greatness!" he hissed

"Ace, prepare to erase the monster slowly and make this guy watch in horror as his greatest creation dies."

"Ok." Ace replied

"You don't understand the depths of my genius," Keith hissed, his eyes narrowing with a mixture of contempt and triumph. "I could have elevated you, made you part of something greater. But instead, you chose to stand in my way, to deny the world the salvation I offered."

"Man, some people just never learn, do they? Where'd your calm demeanor go? You aren't that old. Anyway, Ace, start."

Ace then used his magic which started to engulf the creature bit by bit as Keith screamed. The monster shot out magic and many destructive things, but Amora blocked or contained them all as the frankenstein got swallowed by magic and go slowly out of existence.
