Chapter 373: Keith's Confinement (4)

Perseus POV

"Perseus, this is bad, Wrath and lust pulled back with the meeting." Dawn informed

"Do we know why?"

"Cain is invading Heaven early."  Dawn replied

This is bad, shit, it wasn't supposed to go like this. I knew that he would rush things, but this was faster than even what Dawn had planned. Just when I got back too...

"How many are God's angels?"

"Probably about 10000."  Dawn answered, "But they're not that strong, and about 2000 will obey God's command and let him hand over the time-traveling device, we'll gonna have to intercept and help, but the 2000 mentioned earlier will attack us as we're invaders in their realm."

"Oh, that is terrible. We can take that, but we'll then be too exhausted to take on Cain's force...what should we do? Even if we intercept Cain early, there's no guarantee that we can take them on. We can wait till they're weakened, but being in a pincer attack of them and the 2000 is like a death wish. In terms of power, we can match, but going against numbers is just...well, we can't multitask that good."

"Cain knows that."  Dawn sighs, "It doesn't need a genius to know and estimate that we lack numbers compared to them...well unless you want to anger God himself."

"What are you suggesting? Stealing the machine from his hands?"

"Yes." she confirmed, "God will be our enemy, but we can take him and the 2000 angels, the 8000 will watch and will be fighting Cain to stop the machine from going into his hands, and Cain wants to fight God. With the 8000 angels delaying Cain's forces long enough, we'll take the time gauntlet and go to the other side to recuperate."

"That sounds good, but won't they also go to our world and take the war there in their attempt to take the machine back?"

"Oh, yeah, they'll have no choice but to participate in a one-sided massacre. His forces don't have a lot of Urgess' descendants, who was previous subordinate of mine by the way, their body can't handle even touching mana, so they're going to die too easily, he'll only come here with the elites, 2 of whom you've just killed earlier."

"Hmm, that can work, we'll bring the war to our home ground...where we'll have a guaranteed chance of success. And for the rest of the extinction class projects...we can come back later to eliminate the dangerous ones and convince Jerah and other gods to limit the powers of mutants."

"There you go!" Dawn responded cheerfully, "Now, we just have to think of a way to steal the machine from his hands, marching in recklessly is a bit too match, we'll have to formulate a plan to fight God himself, amazing, huh?"

"Can you do that while I continue my rampage and kill some of the extinction class projects working for Cain that refuse to work in groups?"

"Sure, I can do that easily. But I need a reward."

"You already have a plan for that, don't you?" I sighed.

Dawn has lived in this world for quite a long time, and in terms of planning and strategizing, she's like me, she definitely got lost in God's weakness somewhere and such a plan of having to steal it from God's hand is definitely already planned. And with God already not liking me...the chances of us clashing together was never 0.

But the problem is...do we let God live? With goddesses on my side, beating him isn't impossible, but...if we let him live, he'll come with Cain, and if God goes to the other side, the anti-magic cult will attack our village and cause an all-out war.

Considering how Lilith the general died for me, the demons don't have a good view on my village either, Lachlan may use that opportunity to fight me. Going against so many gods...we'll win, but the casualties are going to be too much.

The seasonal gods will help us, they have to, since this is an invasion of worlds and the gods of this world are the intruders...but too many people will die.

If we kill God right after stealing...we need to find a super quick replacement. Either way, God will lose and die, but...one is where we have a choice and the other is God dying at the hands of the seasonal gods if I still hesitate to do it.

Just who the hell will be the replacement for God? I mean...I can do it, but I rather not. I have the power of Lucifer, the Lightbringer, I can be a candidate, but I also have the power of Satan. Phineas is a candidate as he got the power of Michael, but the group of people that he leads and gave him that power in the first place are racists.

We're gonna need to find alternate candidates, I don't want to be God, Phineas would also refuse the spot if he was given it, as he thinks that he can't replace the Almighty. We're gonna need to find 1 worthy angel among the 8000 and cage him up.

"Dawn, try to find out the leader among the 8000 angels as well, we're gonna find a replacement."

God POV

I watched the world with a mixture of disbelief and disgust as Perseus brought chaos and devastation upon the world. I was right after all, he was the calamity that I saw. I'm not saying that his rage isn't completely justified, but the world was now being torn apart by his rampage.

It's not like I had 0 hope in him. As a god, I had always believed in the power of mortals to shape their own destinies, and to choose the path of righteousness and justice. But now, as I watched this individual embrace darkness and chaos, I questioned the nature of free will and the consequences of my divine interventions.

I could only watch in dismay, unable to comprehend the true purpose behind his destructive path.
