Chapter 505: Black Wedding

Ruka POV

What kind of idiot would have me plan their wedding in the middle of a war to lure out his enemies?! When I get my hands on those 2...fuck...I'm married to the guy.

Right, my own damn husband! And that damn sister of mine! Black rose or whatever, she was more than happy to follow along. Tell him that it's a stupid idea!

Hold a wedding, you can do so many other things and you choose a wedding?! In the enemy's front yard?! Only for the things to be disregarded right after?!

Do they not know what this does to my reputation?! The first event that I'm actually officially organizing is going to end quickly, I need a job after the war, I can't leave an impression like this. Our money is already flowing down the drain after putting them on war efforts, and it's not like we have any income with no exports and tourism.

Alright, black wedding dress and suit...shit, why black?! We had one job, one freaking job, and they wanted it in black! I mean, seriously, who in their right mind decides to ditch the pristine, angelic white for the color of mourning?

|In some cultures, we wear white as a color of mourning.|

Oh shut up!

I spent years perfecting my craft, dreaming of creating these fairy-tale dresses that would make me and others feel like goddesses on their special day. And now, here I am, stuck in this sea of black fabric, trying to conjure up something magical out of the darkest shade possible.

And don't get me started on the suit. I never thought I'd have to fuss over making a groom look dashing in black. It's like trying to turn a funeral director into James Bond. It's not my idea of a dream project.

Dawn POV

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to hide this from you, but I can't hide it anymore!" Lady time or...Naomi Silver.

A descendant of mine and...I don't mean descendants as in those who descend from Perseus and my daughters...but from me and Perseus...ah to think that he'll actually love me that much...I just wanted to be a mistress after my separation, I was content with just the occasional attention...

But this...this is too much...Naomi is going to call me grandma, but she has revealed herself to be a bit further down the line, though not specifically where in time. She revealed herself to be a very beautiful blonde woman who looked to be in her late 20s.

I was happy at first, since if she existed, it meant that we won.

But she said her existence was sort of that 'canon' event thing, it is possible to break it if we try, but long story short, if we win, the outcome is obvious...but there is also an outcome when we lose, a child of me and Perseus at the last minute as a last desperate attempt will survive and her genes will help repopulate our people and create even stronger versions of the villagers.

"So which one are you?"

"Where we are now is everywhere and nowhere, all of the past, present, and future exist here. I've even met the other alternate paradox version of myself sometimes." she answered

"Are you some sort of hivemind or something? Or are you a different lady time?"

She just didn't give me an answer at all and clung to me...are all of the female descendants clingy? Ivy was clingy to Perseus and Maple too...maybe we should dial it down...how does Perseus deal with so many women like this? I have a lot more respect for him now.

"By the way, why are you interfering with us and watching over us?"

"Interfering was needed and is a part of my job, as for watching you guys...well, I heard a lot about you, so I wanted to see you guys live for once, to make sure that the stories are true." she said as her hug around me tightened

"Can you help us deal with the giants and the other gods?"

"No, I'm unfortunately too powerful to interfere, I will literally change the course of history, but if you do win, I'm willing to share a bit more secrets to help you all prepare for the future. Like the proper use of the gauntlet and how to make grandpa closer to the stronger Perseus in strength."

"By the way...why was the other Perseus here?"

"I'm...I'm not supposed to tell."

"Perseus will give you head pats and let you sleep on his lap."

"He was here to ask me for confirmation" she immediately retorted

"On what?"

"It was whether the author was truly another Perseus Silver."

"...Is he?"

"######"

|That's enough out of everyone.|

3rd Person POV

*Several days later*

Amid the vast expanse of the ocean, where waves kissed the horizon, an unusual sight unfolded, a wedding ceremony held on a secluded floating platform. The world watched in bewildered curiosity as the event unfolded, wondering who in their right mind would host such a celebration in the midst of a raging war.

However, it didn't take long to know who the culprit was. he world questioned the motives behind such a public display, contemplating the risks and implications of hosting a celebration, was it a taunt?

It was an even bigger surprise to find all the Silvers attending in person, Perseus can handle himself, but not Nyra and Rylee. And when Jerah appeared to walk Leilah down the aisle...something was strange...

Jerah didn't look happy, and why was the couple dressed in all black? What's going on? Should they attack? This is a message, but what? If Leilah was the only one in black, they'd understand...but what's...what's happening?

The desert was still in chaos as Bora appeared to attack them every day and night at random times, and now...a wedding? Something was up, and it was most likely a trap.
