Chapter 513: Divine (4)

Leilah POV

"Waaa...Perseus was right...you really do have romantic feelings for me."

"So what?!" Alban retorted, "First you disappeared for centuries, then you reappeared with a random guy! Not only that, you're not killing millions!"

Well, it's their fault for mustering a larger number of forces from all 6-7 continents, and it's their fault that they instantly died by not sticking close to Alban whose presence can heal them right before their death or anything that can come up as a result of touching a black rose.

"I'm your sister, you know. Worse, your twin."

"Who cares?! With our bloodline, I could marry Violet and our child would suffer no deformities." he countered

"What about the moral boundary?"

"I've gone past that centuries ago."

"Well, if you love me so much, why don't you just get out of the way? it's not like you can stop me."

"And let you kill innocents?"

"Innocents? They've threatened my home, heck, our old home is in the forest as well, so why are you protecting them? They've made the resolve to join this war, and it's not like the death I've granted them is painful either."

"You're insane...you know that?" he said as his eyes narrowed

"Both of us have killed before, especially in the older days...the rose of life and the rose of death...We are the most powerful beings in existence, yet, our strength lies not just in our ability to wield life or death, but in our understanding of both."

"Life and death, creation and destruction, they are two sides of the same coin. You should know that better than anyone. We are mirrors of each other," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "In you, I see echoes of myself, and in me, you see echoes of yourself. We are bound by fate, by destiny, by the very essence of who we are."

"And I fortunately choose a different destiny."

"To go against us all?"

"Well, unfortunately for you all, he was born there. If he had been born elsewhere, he too would agree with the idea of the village being a threat, he would either choose the diplomatic route or...what you're all doing now and failing spectacularly."

Lilith POV

"I thought you were pregnant." God commented

"I was."

"Sorry for your loss."

"Nah, I just temporarily transferred my children to someone else, it was a hard decision, but I needed to do it so I could join in the fight."

The guy then tried to rush past me, his goal was to head for Perseus as he tried to use the angels to distract me, but my goal was to kill him or him him back, but I chose the former because it was easier. If only Maple and Mom were willing to fight Saber and Cassius, things would be easier for us and we would have won.

"Magic truly is wonderful." he said as he brought down a giant blade of light

Reacting swiftly, I intercepted the blade's path with my bow, the clash sending sparks scattering into the air like fireworks on a dark night.

As he conjured beams of blinding light, I dodged and weaved, narrowly avoiding his attacks. With each miss, frustration etched across his face, but I couldn't afford to be distracted by his emotions as his light magic was relentless, a constant barrage that threatened to overwhelm me. I gritted my teeth, refusing to back down.

I then met his onslaught head-on. As he continued to hurl beams of blinding light toward me, I countered with shadows and dark magic to deflect his attacks. The best way to destroy light is with darkness, and I won't let my title as the goddess of magic to lose to this guy.

3rd Person POV

As the sun sunk deeper into the horizon, the sky darkened, and so the bats came out of the forest to help the villagers, with the largest one commanding them all from behind, the queen, the one Perseus managed to win against.

The wind spirits also didn't help as they used the chaos as an advantage to slice their enemies and blow them apart with their great offensive magic and abilities. They even occasionally help out Perseus, despite Perseus winning.

The heroes fought valiantly, their swords flashing in the dim light of the battlefield. But against the might of Perseus in his divine form, their efforts were futile. With each blow, he shattered their defenses and crushed their spirits, leaving them broken and defeated in his wake.

Lachlan then used the secret powers of his rose as the heroes charged in as a group, they were tough, and so they and Perseus occupied each other's attention as he use the secret ability of his fake rose. An ability that awakened only in the demon lord.

The demon lords have the power to pass on their abilities, and his rose, can copy abilities and siphon some powers from the dead to power himself up. The heroes' corpses were the best candidates to help him win.

Perseus' enemies trembled before him, their resolve waning with each passing moment as they faced the unstoppable force of the god of victory.

Death loomed large in their minds, a chilling reminder of the futility of their resistance.

Divine form? Such things have never been heard?

God of victory? Even worse.

No one would dare to challenge a god of victory, for it was clear that in his divine form, he was an unstoppable force of nature. His power was absolute, his will unyielding. To stand against him was to invite certain doom. They knew that no one could win against him, for he was a force beyond reckoning, a being of unparalleled strength and power.

"There ya go." Bora cackled, "I like the celestials of this world, divine form? That's absolutely cool."

"Listen well, mortals, angels, demons, and all who dare to defy me," Perseus proclaimed, "I'll kill you all if you get in my way. Heroes, demon lord or whatever you are, I will win, I will make sure that you die by my hands, I don't care if you have friends or family waiting, you made your choice to come here, and I'll make sure that you can never leave."
