Headed To His Death

With the weird tension between them gone, Gabriel finished with applying the product and covered Zoe's hair with the hair cap, and waited for it to process, having set the timer for twenty minutes. In one word, it meant twenty minutes of free time for them and while Gabriel could have left her alone and go to do his thing, he didn't. Neither did Zoe make a move either.

"What?!" Zoe asked, feeling conscious of his attention. It was not like something was interesting on her face.

Gabriel sighed, "I am not trying to pry or something but since I helped out in resolving the mishap you brought upon yourself, I guess I'd gained enough points to ask, why did you dye your hair?"

"Huh?" She was taken aback by his comment.
