It's Not What You're Thinking

Zoe hit her head on the floor tile and as a result, felt a blinding pain pierce through her skull. She groaned, still reeling from everything. Zoe couldn't tell which one was worse, the painful throbbing she could feel at the corner of her head or the suffocating weight on top of her body.

That suffocating weight was no one else but Gabriel. Poor Zoe had cushioned his fall and he was just coming around and lifted his head to comprehend what was going on. As for Zoe, it wasn't until the cold seeped into her skin that she realized that the shower was still running. On both of them. They were soaked.

So when Gabriel pushed himself up on his arms and eased some of his weight off her, he glanced down only for their gaze to connect. They stared at each other, unsure of what to do or who would make the first move. Zoa took that opportunity to stare at Gabriel, the shower kept hitting him on his back and his hair was wet.
