CHAPTER 32

'Hmm! So Veronica had gone to a club the moment she left here. Interesting.' Oliver thought. 'Hold on, didn't mom call Aunt Bianca? Ohh! So aunt Bianca must have been covering for her daughter. What a wonderful family relationship.' Oliver laughed.

'Can't expose her yet anyways. I'll wait for the right time. But this would be very good in getting her to stay away from Alice.' He smiles at the thought of Alice. Then he remembered he had asked her out and they were meant to have fun this weekend to stop her unnecessary thoughts. Though they were not to be called unnecessary but he just felt she should take her mind off a lot of things that would worry her.

Back at Unity High School...

Classes had started and everyone had settled into their various classes. In the senior class not all the students were occupied with classes, some were free and amongst those students were Leo and Mark. After Mark had spoken with Rachel, he had gone back to meet the boys happily. Alex had a class so he couldn't stay with the boys.

Leo and Mark decided to stay at one of the corridors and sat on the staircases. Only few of the seniors were passing by,mostly girls anyways.

"What's the good news?" Leo asked seeing as it was so obvious Mark came back completely different. Mark stared back at Leo and smiled, flashing his breath taking smile at Leo.

"Nothing." He replied and looked away.

"Such an idiot." Leo commented. Mark's behaviour was weird and new for Leo so he was quite speechless.

"So are you gonna tell me what happened or not?" Leo asked impatiently.

"Okay, chill..." Mark replied.

"So..?" Leo asked seeing as Mark wasn't speaking yet and it was quite frustrating for him.

"Rachel agreed to go out with me." Mark said.

"Go out, as in date you?" Leo asked.

"No, you dimwit! Go out, as in go out together and have some fun." Mark laughed foolishly. Leo stared at him disappointedly causing Mark to put on a serious face.

"What?" Mark asked.

"So you are acting like this just because she agreed to go out with you?" Leo asked quite disappointed in him.

"Um...yeah." Mark couldn't grasp why Leo was giving him that look, so far he knew he hadn't said anything wrong with and he didn't see a reason for Leo's behavior.

"Bro...she only agreed to go out with you and you are happy. How in-love are you with that girl..." before Leo could complete his statement Mark interrupted.

"THAT GIRL is Rachel. She has a name so don't go addressing her in some way and i told you wanna take things slow, so stop with the attitude it's my life not yours." Mark was quite offended by Leo's behavior. He hated the way he addressed Rachel, like she was some thing. Leo had also realized that he was being a bit unreasonable. He decided to apologize for addressing Rachel in the way he did even though he didn't find any issue with it.

"I am sorry. Didn't mean to put it that way.Just that you are acting a bit to excited for just an outing. You are my friend and I'll you the truth, so you won't get your heart broken, cause if you do, god damn imma gonna be making fun of you." Mark and Leo bursted in laughter, Mark has gotten the message and wasn't so upset anymore.

"So where are you planning to take her?" Leo asked knowing fully well that Mark hadn't thought of that.

"That's true...where to take her...no idea." Then the two friends bursted out laughing again. This time their laughter attracted quite a few girls from their class.

There were about 5 girls who noticed the guys but only 3 decided to approach them.

"Hey." When the girls went to the stairs they didn't sit but Zoey was first to greet them. Mark and Leo were quite familiar with them so they didn't find it awkward.

"Zoey! Monica! Chantelle! What's up?" Leo addressed them all and asked while Mark did nothing. The guys had stopped laughing since the girls got there, they obviously knew what brought the girls over.

"Oh well...we were wondering what got you guys laughing so much and we were quite attracted, so we came over." This was Chantelle being straightforward which the other girls weren't okay with but they kept quiet. The girls made a mental note to talk about it later. There really was no issue in being straightforward about things, but Zoey and Monica must definitely feel a bit jealous since it felt like Chantelle was taking away the attention from them.

"Just some guy stuff. So how's your day going?" Mark replied this time cause he didn't want Leo to spill the beans. Leo smirked mischievously at the way his friend had changed the topic so quickly.

"Boring. Just can't wait to leave high school." Zoey said.

"Oh yeah! Are you guys going to the same college?" Monica asked.

"Maybe and maybe not." Leo replied.

"We haven't thought about any college yet." Mark added laughing and Chantelle joined in.

"Wow. It's about 4 weeks to the exam and you haven't even thought about it yet." Chantelle spoke.

Generally, students start thinking about university options during their junior year of high school. This is when they start visiting colleges, researching different schools, and thinking about what they want to study. It's also when they start taking standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. However, some students may start thinking about college earlier than that, and others may not start until their senior year. However, In Leo, Mark and Alex's case, they haven't even thought about what university to attend yet.

"At least we still have four weeks, which is in fact a lot of time for us to decide which college we might end up going to." Leo explained to the girls.

"You call that a lot of time? Wow! It took us the whole of junior year to decide what colleges we'll be attending." Came Zoey's side remark.

The guys were a bit bewildered. They wondered why it would take so long just to decide a university to school in. Was it that hard? Or maybe it was just girls that had to add a bit of drama to everything.

"Girls will always be girls. sigh*"
