Chapter Eleven:

"Wow, I guess Simons wasn't wrong,"the old man smiled wrinkles appearing at the corner of his eyes.

"Grandpa, what have I told you about traveling without my knowledge?"Damian sighed clearly annoyed.

"See? Your grandfather came you visit you and you scold him?"the old man said sitting in the chair opposite Damian.

"So why did you come here, without telling me?"Damian questioned emphasizing on the last three words. Maya watched Damian with a frown on her face.

'This man truly has no manners. How can he speak to his grandfather like this?' She thought whiles shaking her head.

"Grandpa, I've always told you to inform me before traveling. You don't worry about your health but I do. If....."Damian paused and looked at Maya. Maya raised a questioning brow in response to Damian's gaze.

"If something happens to you, I won't step foot at the hospital,"he told the old man.

"Where were you when Mother Nature was sharing manners?"Maya said making both heads snap towards her direction. One head had a mixture of shock and frown and the other had a smile.

"What?"Damian asked narrowing his eyes.

"You heard me. How can you talk to your grandpa like that? Where is your respect?" Maya sneered, ignoring the smoke shooting out of Damian's ears.

"You don't respect anyone around you doesn't mean you should disrespect you own grandfather, geez." Maya said pausing to take a deep breath.

"At least it's mine grandfather I'm disrespecting. Where yours? And how dare you lecture me on manners when you don't have them yourself....."

Damian's words made Maya's jaw drop.

"The question here should be where are your manners? Didn't your parents teach you not to poke your nose in other people's business?... Oh.. I forgot," Damian pauses and chuckled lightly.

"You have no parents so you didn't have anyone to teach you manners." He smirked.

Maya's mouth opened and closed but no words came out. Silent tears rolled down her cheeks and she didn't even bother to stop them. To say Damian's words had hurt her was an understatement. His words had broken her. He had reminded her that she was all alone in this world and had nobody. Slowly she turned her back to him and started walking towards the door.

"That's what I thought," Damian scoffed.

"Why did you do that?" Master Dan asked his grandson with a deep frown on his face. He couldn't believe he had just spoken to the sweet lady in that manner.

"Do what?" Damian asked faking an innocent look.

"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. Come on son, be rational for once. That was the same person who was feeding you earlier and this is how you talk to her?"

Damian had never seen his grandfather with such a frown before. He never showed him this side of him and today he was doing that because of someone he just saw. He saw her some minutes ago.

"Grandpa I was just stating....."

"The obvious?? Don't tell me that son. You hurt her feelings. How can you be so heartless towards her?"

"The last time I checked, you told me not to work with emotions....."

"And last time I checked I didn't train you to be a moron. It's good to be heartless but you should know when you're being stupid," the old man said before leaving.

After the door was slammed shut, Damian yelled angrily throwing all the neatly packed documents on the floor. He couldn't believe his own grandfather sided with her. What was he thinking?

He just said the truth and being a drama queen she burst into tears so how was that his fault. Damian who couldn't stand his grandfather being mad at him stood up and left his office.

"Where is my grandfather?" He asked the maid coldly.

"He...he followed ma'am upstairs," the maid told him with her head bowed. Damian took the elevator upstairs. He knew Master Dan didn't know the room Maya was in so he decided to check all the rooms after checking his.

"I was only trying to correct him, he...he shouldn't have spoken to me like that," He heard Maya sob and an unknown painful feeling pierced through his heart. "I know I don't have a family but he shouldn't have....."

"Hey....hey.... it's fine. Don't mind anything Damian says to you ok. That's his nature. But he'll come around. He'll apologize to you immediately," Master Dan said finally evident in his voice.

"No grandfather, I don't want him to apologize, I just want to leave here. Please," Maya said and the old man sighed deeply. He could feel how heartbroken she was and it was all because of his grandson.

"I know I don't have a place to go but I can manage. It's better than staying here and feeling like trash. Trust me Grandpa, I didn't want to come here and neither do want to stay here," Maya said taking the old man's hands in hers.

"Just tell your grandson to let me."

That was enough for Damian to kick the door open.

"You're not going anywhere," Damian said through gritted teeth.

"And who are you to stop me?" Maya retort angrily. "I'll leaving this hell you call a house and I promise you'll never see me again," Maya said folding across her chest. "Who do you think you are?"

"Your husband," Damian said nonchalantly. "We're married and I can show you proof," Damian smirked.

"I want to see it," Master Dan sending a questioning gaze towards his grandson.

"I promise I didn't do anything Grandpa, it was all her," he said and Maya rolled her eyes.

Damian casually pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed a number.

"Ron, I need that clip. Make sure everything is set because my dear wife wants to see it,"Damian said, sending a mocking smirk towards Maya.

"I'll see you downstairs," Damian said and walked out.

Seconds later, Master Dan and Maya walked out of the elevator. Damian was sitting casually in the couch with a glass of wine in his hand.

A chuckle left his lips as he stood up to grab the remote.

"Good. I've been waiting for...."

"Just show us whatever you have," Master Dan said impatiently.

"Ok as you wish," Damian said and hit a button on the remote and Maya's body froze as she watched the screen. She wanted to look away but it was like she was wasn't in control of her eyes.

It was her. In the same room with Damian. On the night she found out Alfred had been cheating on her. But why didn't she remember all this? Was she that drunk.

'I knew alcohol was a bad idea. What the hell was I thinking?" She scolded herself.

"What the hell is this," Master Dan said getting up from his seat.

"Listen Grandpa," Maya tried to explain herself but the old man shook his head.

"I'm so disappointed in you," he said looking at Maya then at Damian who had his hands in his pockets.

"She's your wife?" He asked and Damian nodded.

"Henceforth, you're going to treat her as your wife and companion. Shower her with love and don't dare to make her cry else..." Master Dan said whiles moving to Maya.

"Stop crying me dear, you're part of this family form today and I'm going to make sure you're given the respect and love you deserve from my grandson," Master Dan said patting Maya on the shoulder.

"You have to do what I say," were you the old man's final words to Damian before walking away.

'Great...just great. Now grandpa is in her side too,' Damian scoffed inwardly.
