-LEENA-
“Color me surprised, I wasn’t expecting you alone, Leena. I thought my brother would have the decency to at least accompany you, but like I said earlier, he’s soft. It’s not really a surprise.”
Victor is nothing and everything like I expected.
I would recognize him by his looks alone, so similar to Alec with his dark skin, brown eyes, and the set of his jaw. But that’s where the similarities end. While Alec is youthful and bright, always smiling and joking even at his own expense, Victor is harsh and cold with only the curve of a nasty smirk that doesn’t touch his eyes. Even his hair is different; long dreadlocks that are pulled up into a loose tie to keep it out of his face whereas Alec keeps his short. Two sides of the same coin, much like Bri and I.
“Where’s my sister?” I ask, my eyes glowing with magic driven by the desperation of finding my sister before Alec can get here and complicate things. But I knew it wouldn’t be that easy.
