Hana

Hana greeted Archimedes and the others. The children circled around the two starships with curiosity. The adults were aware of the starships, but the children had never grown up around it, and most of them have not seen a starship. These starships are not completely new technology. Centuries ago , the innovator Viktor of the Marakese clan, was renowned to be one of the best scientists in the whole of the galaxy. He was the first to develop the starships in the galaxy , and before his time nobody flew around the galaxy. Only the mythological and powerful people could travel across the galaxy. And Viktor, originally he was born with a different name. There is no coherent reason why he has changed his name. Though it is argued that his wife had a part to play in it.

Viktor had developed many a products before he invented the starships. Many garnered appreciation, and many faced a lot criticism as well. Some of the inventions were even put on trial in the kingdom. But none of these faced the punishment that Viktor had faced for his glowing recommendation for the usage of the material "Plutonium". This was the name that was given by the humans, but what is was called back then is not clearly known. Viktor went into the prison cells a couple of times simply because he showed the court the various use cases of the compound. But he never gave up and the court finally decided him be. "We cannot stop you, you carry on with this nonsense" those were the exact words uttered by the then king Philip the second. So Viktor happily went and experimented all he could with the compound. Many new innovations were made by him, but his real dream still remained elusive. He kept working on his dream project on the side, and made many other progresses on this side. After many years Viktor finally made his ship. One would not call it a ship at first sight. It looked like a small box. It only could fly a few hundred meters up in the sky, and fit only one person inside. To top that there was this tiny problem called suffocation. Anorin, the assistant of Viktor came out short of breath only after a short few minutes in the machine. An angry Viktor had told him to stay in for longer. Anorin threatened to quit, the people there said he threw a fist of rage, claiming that this man wanted to kill him. Viktor then had to plead with his brilliant assistant not to quit , and finally Anorin agreed to stay. But on one condition "He said he would no longer work on this flying project". Viktor hesitantly agreed.

So, Viktor left Anorin work on the other projects. To which the brilliant young Marakese, made a great many progresses on his own. He won many a recognitions and praises from the king himself. This made people question had a hatred towards Viktor. " The eccentrics and the brilliants were always looked upon with suspicious eyes throughout the universe"

"There is no planet that treats them differently" was the answer of Philip the second when he was asked the question by his wife. Why is that so? she asked him. Because, the rest of the people cannot put them or their ideas in a box. They are beyond our understanding, he replied to his wife. And there is a wall on the halls that reads this quote now. It roams the walls of the great kingdom that Darticus currently presides in , and that could be one of the reasons that Darticus did not want to discourage Yondrin. A man initially put behind bars was behind the greatest innovation of the galaxy!

As Anorin garnered all the praises, Viktor toiled in his hangar all day and all night. He did not care about anything else , he continued to work hard on his dream. Even when some of the people came and told him that Anorin was getting all his praises. He did not care, he did not want the adulations or the rewards. He simply wanted to get his dream to fruition. He wanted it be his life's achievement. His legacy, his gift to his people. And after many years, he was making slow yet good progress. The ventilation system was sorted out. The seating was improved to three people. His experiments were a show to the people, the people watched on as the flying objects went up and down.

One such day, as the ship flew up high into the air. There was a familiar face in the crowds. It was Anorin, now long separated from the company of his former employer. He was the proud owner of his own company. Hello Anorin, greeted Viktor. Still on this project? laughed Anorin. Still jealous, asked a voice which came from behind. It was Viktor's wife. No, not at all , replied Anorin. You should be, said his wife back and stood next to Viktor. Anorin scoffed and looked at the ship which was making its way down. I heard it does not land well, said Anorin sarcastically. That was the case, said Viktor. He waited in silence for a quite some time. The ship landed perfectly. " A long time ago " said Viktor looking at his wife. Both of them smiled , and Anorin left the area as quick as he had come. She came close by and wrapped her hands around his arms. Viktor looked at his wife with affection and kissed her forehead.
