Time To Go
Tonight was the night that Shiny, Lasso, and Pippin were leaving.They've already been there a week and have gotten plenty of information out of Cypher. "Headin out?" Cypher asked Pippin, seeing that she was packing up her stuff in her back pack. "Yeah. We gotta head out." She told her and walked over to her, still using her spear to help her walk. "It was fun meeting you though, maybe we'll see each other another time." She smiled and hugged Cypher.
"You can't stay a little longer?.." Cypher asked cause she grew attached to the girl. "No I can't I'm sorry. Lasso is ready to go, he tired of people" she chuckled and put her back pack on. Pippin noticed after the first 2 days that Cypher had been following her around like a stray puppy when she had nothing else to do. She did feel bad that she had to leave but this hell of a place needed to come down.
Downstairs Jet and Ret were just bugging Lasso and Shiny. Mainly Jet was asking a ton of things like where they were going, how long the trip was, and other questions like that. "Don't worry about it." Lasso snapped at him getting a bit irritated. "Take it easy Las he's just curious-" Shiny tried to say but all he got was an eye roll from Lasso. "Where's Pippin?" Shiny asked changing the subject and Ret responded this time. "Upstairs with Cypher." He said while giving Lasso's hat to him.
Before the girls went downstairs Pippin hugged Cypher one more time. "Oh I almost forgot something." Pippin smiled and quickly kissed Cypher's cheek then hobbled downstairs, leaving Cypher in shock.
"Finally." Lasso said while going over to Pippin to help her walk. They all walked outside(except for Cypher who stayed in her room) and they walked by one of the trenches right as they pushed a kid in. Lasso walks behind everyone so he snuck over to the trench and looked down. The poor girl, looking only about 7 was crying in a corner while the creature who was supposed to be long dead started shambling to her. Grabbing the air, bitting the air while it shuffled forward toward it's next meal. Lasso stood their for a moment just watching the girl and decided to do something that could get him killed.
While the crowd cheered and placed their bets the old cowboy grabbed his lasso swung it down into the trench and wrap it around the girl's shoulders and yanked her out of the pit and into his arms then took off running towards the front gate. "Shimmers come on!!" He yelled and Shiny panicked and ran to follow. "What are you doing?!" He yelled as they ran passed the guards. Pippin hobbled the best she could to follow and Shiny quickly turned and picked her up and threw her over his shoulder and ran again.
Before the guards went after them Tiger Tony shouted "let 'em go!! It's just one kid!" After that the guards simply returned back to their posts and called it a day.
