Lasso’s Back

"Hey man. If you want in you gotta pay." Demanded a guard and the man who was now just in a white long sleeve and leather pants with a 9mm Ruger on one hip and a lasso on the other. "Fine." He said and handed him the money. "Gun too man." The other guard said and held out his hand. Now he reluctantly handed his gun over but they let him keep the lasso and let him through.

Cypher, the twins, Shiny, and Pippin were all standing outside talking when Shiny noticed his old buddy walk through the gates. "Aye it's kinda hot out here can we maybe head inside?- get some water ya know-" Shiny said while starting to lead Pippin inside. "Here I got her bud." Jet said and simply picked Pippin up, so she doesn't have to walk too much. "Oh- thank you-" she smiled at him as they all went inside and sat at a table.

          "There you are..." muttered Lasso who is now walking towards the building, avoiding people who are trying to talk and walked inside and spotted Pippin and Shiny. Shiny purposely had Pippin sit with her back to the wall and Ret across from her to block her from view of anyone who walked in. Cypher was the first to see the newcomer and get up "I'll be right back." She said while walking over to the man who walked in.

        "Hey there big guy, got a name?" She asked and he nodded as in hello. "Name's Lasso. I'm lookin for someone. Mind if ya help me?" He asked in a gruff voice and she nodded. "Who you lookin for?" She asked looking around a little. "Pippin. Brunette with a splinted leg and a bandage covering most her face." He described and Cypher's face lit up. "Oh! I know Pippin! Aye she's right over here come on" Cypher said while turning and walking back to the table with Lasso close behind. Shiny and Pippin quickly exchanged a nervous look then looked up at the angry face of Lasso.

         "Heyyyyy- uh do we uh know you?-" Shiny stammered with a nervous smile. "Shiny drop the idiot act. Pippin I need to have a word with you missy." He snapped. "This your dad Pip?-" Cypher asked and before Pippin could answer Lasso cut in. "Yes" was all he said as he walked out of the building, helping Pippin walk and he led her to the back of the old hotel where the only thing that was there was a big trench filled with zombies.

        "You better get your ass back to camp. It's not safe." He snapped at her and she frowned. "First off. You're not my dad. Secondly I have a solid source of information if I leave you and Shiny won't be able to get anything out of those boys and that girl Cypher won't say a word to you." She argued back with a look of determination. "How do you know she's a good source. How much does that girl really know." He tried to make a point which backfired quickly. "She's the daughter of Tiger Tony! She knows everything about this place." She stated and Lasso mumbled. "I stand corrected."

        "But that tranquilizer dart trick you pulled was ridiculous Pippin what the hell." He scolded and she simply rolled her eyes. "How else was I gonna be able to come? I knew you wouldn't let me and Shiny doesn't dare argue with me." She sassed back. "Besides I got that girl wrapped around my finger and it didn't take much. Do I need to tell you all that I've got so far or are you still too mad at me to want to know?" She said with a smile and Lasso knew he had lost. "Fine. Tell me later. Get as much as you can out of that girl and me and Shimmers will try to get more out of those twins alright." He grumbled and she nodded. "Yes sir!" Pippin giggled and they started to walk back to the front. Before they walked inside he snatched his hat off her head. "This is my hat." He snapped while putting it back on.

        "Well that was quick" mumbled Jet and Ret nodded. "So is everyone alright now?-" Cypher asked when they got back to the table. "Yep!" Pippin exclaimed but Lasso still looked angry. "Ya sure?-" Jet asked while motion to Lasso. "Oh he always looks like that" Pippin explained with a shrug. "Oh shi- aye I gotta go announce the next game, talk to ya later" Cypher quickly got up and the twins followed her out.

        "Hi Lasso-" Shiny greeted him while sinking down in his seat nervously. "Why didn't you do anything yesterday morning." Lasso snapped at Shiny which made him jump a little. "Shh- shh- ok im sorry- after Pippin put you to sleep she threatened me if I didn't let her go ok?-" Shiny whispered and Lasso glared at Pippin a little who smiled. The Lasso sighed "fill me in on what information you gathered so far."
