Pippin’s Way
Pippin and Shiny walked into a big room that had tones of tables and smelt like fresh coffee. The room only had 3 other people. Sitting at a back table was Cypher and the twins.
"We got new people!" Jet exclaimed while getting up. Cypher, who was head down on the table yawned. "That's nice....go say hi or something...." She was still trying to wake up. So she let Jet go greet the new guests. Jet quickly went over to Pippin and Shiny. "Hey! What are your names?" He asked kindly and Pippin gave him a bright smile. "Name's Pippin! Nice to meet ya big guy!" She readjusted her grip on the spear that was holding her up and held her hand out to Jet who gladly shook it. "Come sit down with us, you've probably when walking a little too long on that busted leg of yours" he gently led Pippin to the table they were sitting at while Shiny awkwardly followed behind.
"Pippin this is my twin Ret" he motioned to Ret who just nodded. "And the girl who looks like she's dying at the moment is our friend Cypher" he said with a bright smile. "That's a girl?-" Shiny asked with slight astonishment. "Yeah that's a girl Pinky." Ret chuckled and pat Cypher on the back. "What...." Cypher groaned sleepily and Ret nudged her. "Wake up, at least say hi" Jet added after sitting Pippin down across from Cypher and he dragged an extra chair over for Shiny.
Cypher then groaned again and finally lifted her head. "Hi." Was all she said before she then dropped her head back down on the table, using Ret's jacket that she stole as a pillow. "Oh aren't you pretty" Pippin giggled which caused Cypher to sit right back up. "Excuse me do you need your eyes che- oh-" she noticed the bandage that covered most of Pippin's face hiding one of her eyes and bailed on her comment. "You know the proper response is a simple thank you" Ret commented which earned him a kick in the leg from Cypher.
"I will say I am not-" Cypher quickly added before taking a sip of Jet's coffee. "Well your eyes are. Pretty grey eyes" Pippin smiled and Cypher put down the cup. "What you playin at missy." She questioned now growing skeptical. "Just a few compliments is that too bad?" Pippin giggled and patted her head gently to calm her a little, which did indeed work.
Ret and Jet got up. "Aye Eyeliner" Ret nodded to Shiny who quickly looked up. "My name is Shiny- but yes?" He corrected which earned him a simple shrug from Ret "come on, we need help with something" he said and the twins walked away and Shiny was quick to follow, leaving the girls alone.
"Well what's your name Freckles?" Cypher asked while sipping more coffee. "Pippin's the name sweetheart" she smile sweetly. "Alright uh Pippin-" Cypher muttered. "Here to watch the games?" Cypher asked but Pippin shook her head. "No that's what my buddy is here for, I'm actually here to just socialize a little, my friend doesn't like going places alone so I came along" she replied while leaning forward a little with her elbows on the table and resting her chin on her hands.
Cypher got up and stretched. "Well missy I gotta go get dressed be back in a bit." She began to walk away but before she left Pippin asked "do you need someone to do your hair maybe?" Cypher thought for a second before turning back. "Fine get over here Pippin and follow me." They then walked with each other to Cypher's room where Cypher got dressed while Pippin's waited outside the door until she was called in.
Cypher already had a brush and some hair ties out so Pippin didn't have to move around to much and Pippin walked over to the bed and sat down. "Come over here, your gonna have to sit on the ground in front of me ok?" Pippin said and Cypher nodded and sat in front of her. Pippin began brushing her hair and noticed Cypher kept wincing. "My apologies-" she stopped and rubbed her head instead for a moment which at first made Cypher flinch a little. "Affection?-" thought Cypher was was purely confused at the moment but decided to not stop Pippin. After a minute or two Cypher was almost asleep before Pippin started brushing her hair again, a bit more gently this time and Cypher didn't wince at all anymore.
Once Pippin was done brushing her hair she put her hair into two short braids. "All done cutie" she smiled and patted her head. "Tha- wait what-" she quickly looked up but all she got for an answer was a small giggle. They both got up and Cypher helped Pippin back down to the main room and Pippin asked questions like how many guards are here, what would they do in case of someone trying to attack, things like that and Cypher who as taken a liking to this girl answered all them willingly. Which was all a part of what Pippin planned to get her to do.
A few hours passed and Cypher was now with the twins again. "Guys I have an issue-" she confessed and Ret looked at her with an unsurprised look. "Let me guess you now love a brunette with freckles and a busted leg because she showed you the slightest bit of affection?" He said and Cypher looked down. "Um-.." she muttered. "I'll take that as a yes lover girl" he chuckled and she punched him in the arm. "Shut up!" She yelled at him which cause Jet to laugh a bit. "Awww!" He teased and nudged her playfully which earned him a kick to the knee. "Ah!-" he fell and just laid there for a few minutes too lazy to get back up.
While all that was going on Pippin and Shiny were sitting in a corner in the main room of the hotel. "You got all that from just an hour with her?-" Shiny asked astonished after Pippin had told her all of what she learned so far. "Well with the way she is all you gotta do is call a few names show a little affection and she's gonna spill anything to you." Pippin whispered with a giggle. "Now did you get anything out of the two big boys?" She asked and Shiny shook his head. "Nah, I couldn't get them on the topic. That one Jet changes the topic constantly so it's hard and Ret looks like he wanted to murder me every time I spoke-" he confessed. "Oh well we'll be here for a few days so we'll have plenty of time." She stated and he nodded, still not really liking the idea of her being here but is too scared to say a word to her.
