"Dad!! Dad!!" Cypher screamed while running to the gates, shoving past the front guards. She had been running for hours now and was running out of steam. Luckily Tiger Tony was actually out for once so he ran right to her. "Where have you been kid?!" He yelled as she fell into his arms out of breath. She was shaking badly from being so cold this morning and her heart racing from panic. "Where did you go baby.." Tiger tried to ask but Cypher just collapsed in his arms exhausted and buried her face in his shoulder to try to get the world around her to stop spinning from hitting her head yesterday and this morning when Lasso hit her head against the tree.
Tiger sat her down on the ground and gently held her shoulders and shook her lightly. "Hey hey hey look at me Cypher." He coaxed and she opened her eyes fully and looked at him. "Tell me what's going on." He coaxed while using one of his hands to hold her head up for her. "T- there's gonna be an attack... here! W-we gotta get our guards out and all around this place set traps!" She shouted to him while trying to quickly get up but Tiger held her down. "Who? What-" he asked purely confused. "There's this group of hundreds! That cowboy, drag Queen, and injured girl were here to get information to take down this place!!" She yelled and kept fight to get up but Tiger kept her down. "Ok. Ok. You know what we have defenses that they have no clue about. We have zoms that they won't be able to handle. Ok?" He reassured and she started to nod.
Cypher then went into a heavy coughing fit and Tiger patted her back until she stopped. "Let's get you inside" he said has he helped her up and walked inside the building. All she did was nod and follow while they walked and she kept going into wheezy coughing fits from a mix of being so out of breath and the possibility of now being sick from being out in the cold all night.
"There you are!" Jet exclaimed while running to Tiger and Cypher. "Is she alright-" Jet asked and Tiger gave Cypher to Jet. "She's sick so take her to her room." He told him but Cypher tried to protest. "No...I gotta help..." she went into another coughing fit while Jet carried her to her room.
Tiger then walked outside and started putting guards everywhere around the building. Then he told everyone who is a visitor to get their guns and they're going to help fight as well. No one dared argue with him so they all got their guns and went to where they were told to go. This took a few hours to set up but all guards were set. Now there was one thing left to check on. A defense that not even Cypher knew about.
Tiger walked inside and walked down to the basement of the hotel. Loud screeches and hungry groans could be heard as he went down there. There was loud banging on metal at the bottom of the stairs which made him chuckle. At the bottom of the stairway we're two guards were guarding a gated off part of the basement. Between the bars were the dead faces of hundreds of zombies biting the gate, trying to walk through it, banging on it. They were reaching through it to try to grab the guards that are just out of reach. "Hey boys. I gotta talk to ya" he stated and sat on the last step.
"Listen from what I've heard there's going to be an invasion to try to take down this place." He started and held up a whistle that was hanging around his neck. "When you hear me blow this whistle I'm going to need you to open that gate." The guards looked at him in shock. "Sir- are you sure?- i can't guarantee we'd be able to rein them back in-" one of the guards questioned but Tiger chuckled. "I am sure that this will need to be done but this is a last resort option. I have guards up there who will be fighting the main mob but if things go south then we're gonna need to release these ones." And that was the last say. Tiger turned and got up and walked out without another word.
Last Line Of Defense
The zombies in the basement are runners. They're the ones who were hidden from the sun to slow their decay process the moment they turned. These zombies can sprint, open doors, and some can throw small stones(not very accurately or far). This is what Tiger Tony calls his last line of defense.
