Who Are You?

No one dared confront her as Cypher stormed through the halls. She went to her room and slammed the door shut. She kicked off her shoes and clutched her sleeves. Cypher had began pacing around the her room. "I'm not him...I'm not him..." she mumbled repeatedly and grabbed Jet's flask off her hip and chugged it. She set the empty flask on the bed and coughed. Cypher stopped pacing when she caught a glance of herself in the full body mirror leaned against the wall in the corner. She stared at her own reflection. Cypher felt tears stream down her cheeks but ignored it. "No...no no no no...." She mumbled and began walking towards the mirror. She stumbled a little, the alcohol she chugged began to set in but she caught herself on the wall. Cypher stared at herself in the mirror once more. She looked over her shoulder then back at the mirror. She thought she saw either Ret or Jet behind her but when she turned there was nothing. She heard a familiar voice but she couldn't tell if it was in her head or somewhere else. It was a voice she hadn't her in a long time and she looked around once more. "Mom?..." she mumbled and stumbled away from the mirror. She paced around the room just mumbling.

"The hell?!-" Axel ran inside after hearing a gunshot. He ran up the stairs and found the two guards just barely going back inside the room with Lasso on the 7th floor. "Aye!" He yelled and they froze and looked at him. "The hell was that?" He asked and they both shrugged. They were just as clueless as he was. All three of them walked in the room, Cypher was already long gone before Axel had made it up there. They walked in and saw the cowboy laying on the ground. There was blood pooling around his head and Axel slowly approached. He kneeled beside Lasso and lifted his head. The man started to open his eyes but Axel notice the large bleeding gash on his chin then turned his head and saw part of his ear gone. Axel felt him try to move his head out of his grip but Axel didn't let him. "Let go of me.." Lasso growled at him but Axel just ignored him and examined the few injuries he had. "He's alive?-" one of the guards asked and Axel nodded. "Did she miss his head?" The other asked and Axel finally let the cowboy go and got up. "Must've not wanted to kill him just yet." Axel guess and the men looked confused. "Maybe it was an accident but didn't want to waste another bullet?" The second guard asked but Axel shook his head. "Oh no her aim is too good for that, must've just been a warning shot." He guessed then heard glass shattering on the floor above him. "What the-" he took off running up the stairs once more.

Cypher had turned and thrown the mirror down, shattering it. Shards of glass covered the floor but she continued to pace the room. She kept stepping in the glass but didn't seem to notice the pain in her feet. "No...no...I'm not him..." she mumbled to herself. She thought she heard her mom's voice again but couldn't make out anything, she avoided anything that could show her reflection and cried. Blood was all over the floor from her feet but she kept pacing, a few times out of the corner of her eye she thought she saw one of the dead twins but each time she tried to look they were gone. She heard heavy footsteps in the hall but couldn't tell if she was imagining it or if someone was coming. Cypher ignored the knocking and her door slowly opening. Her back was to the door when Axel stepped in. He saw her and quickly shut the door and went to her, he went and picked her up. "Holy shit what happened.." he asked, setting her on her bed. Tears were streaming down her cheeks and shards of glass in her bleeding feet. "What's gotten into you" he wiped her tears but got no real answer. He looked around and remembered she kept bandages in one of her dresser drawers and got up and went to it. He pulled out bandages and went back to her and stopped her from getting up again.

"You shouldn't be walking through glass, what's going on?" He asked again while trying to take shards of glass out of her feet. She swayed while sitting there and he noticed the empty flash on the bed. He sighed and removed the glass. He tried to listen to her mumbling but it wasn't anything he could make out. When ever he'd look up at her she'd be looking around like something was about to get her. "I want my mom..." Axel heard her mumble a few time and he sighed softly. "She's not here right now" he told her gently and bandaged her feet. He didn't think she was actually listening to him but he tried to coax her into talking to him. Once he was done bandaging her feet he looked around the room. The mirror was completely shattered and empty bottles of what he guessed was some sort of alcohol were also shattered. He looked back at Cypher and grabbed her face with one of his hands and snapped in front of her face, trying to get her attention back. When he at least thought she was listening he started talking again. "What did he say." He demanded to know, trying to figure out what sent her into another breakdown.

"I-I'm not him..." she stammered, still crying. Cypher gripped onto Axel's wrist and leaned her face against his palm. The man was still very confused. She kept repeated that one sentence like a broken record. She kept switching between two sentences. "I'm not him" and "I want to see them again." Axel listened to her ramble those on repeat, trying to think of who could she be talking about. It finally dawned on him and he sighed. He couldn't deny that Cypher was turning out just like her father. They were too similar, he couldn't tell her she wasn't like him. "Cypher..they're not coming back.." he sighed and watched her sob. She just wanted her mom and the twins back again. That's all. Now he was curious what that cowboy had said so once she calmed down he would go talk to him again. After awhile Cypher finally cried herself to sleep and Axel cleaned up the shards of glass, he'd handle the blood later. He swiftly walked out and went down one floor and back to the room Lasso was held in.

He first knocked to let the guards know to step out of the way of the door and he stepped in. Lasso was sitting up and leaning back against the wall again with his eyes closed. Axel went to him and gently kicked his foot to get his attention. "What..." Lasso groaned and opened his eyes again. He saw Axel and just closed his eyes again. "What now.." he sighed and Axel crouched down to be eye level with him. "What all did you two say." He demanded to know and Lasso looked at him. "Didn't hear the screaming match?" Lasso asked and Axel shook his head. "I missed that, what was said." He asked again and Lasso freely told him. Axel frowned but didn't interrupt. When Lasso was done with his explanation Axel got up and walked out of the room without a word. He was trying to think of what Cypher was going to do next once she woke up and calmed down. He didn't think it was anything good that's for sure.
