To the Pits

The next morning Mama woke up to the sound of the door slamming open. Shiny was already up and he watched as four big guards come into the room. Two went over to Bones and he tried to kick them away but one pinned his legs down to the ground while the other unhooked the chains. "Aye. Easy with that boy. If boss sees one mark on him we're all dead." He snapped and the other two nodded and pulled him up. One guard went over to Shiny and unhooked his chain and helped him up but still gets his hands behind his back. The other had done the same to Mama. Mama and Shiny both groaned from the pain in their heads as they both were forced to their feet. The two guards trying to get Bones up were struggling cause he kept dropping himself to the ground. After 10 minutes of struggling with him they finally got him to his feet. "Where we going?.." Shiny asked but none of the men had answered. All they did was escort them out.

X woke up to the sound of the door slamming open as well but Pippin didn't stir. Three guards came in and he gently nudged Pippin's foot to wake her up. He did it again a few more times until she finally woke up right when she was getting unchained and yanked to her feet by one guard while the other two did the same thing for X. "Well good morning" X mumbled while they partially shoved him out the door but still held his hands behind his back. The one guard was a little more gentle with Pippin, specifically instructed not to hurt her. So he helped her stand and walked her out the door.

Lasso was already awake when two guards walked in. He sighed and looked at them. "Your alive" one of them mumbled with a slight shocked tone and Lasso nodded. "Great observation." Lasso remarked and the guard rolled his eyes. They unhooked the chain from the metal ring and led him out. They took their time so the other two small groups could get ahead. Lasso quietly listened as the guards talked to each other casually about what their boss might be planning to do. He didn't try to fight them or get free. He just calmly let them lead him to wherever he was being taken.

Charlie saw Mama, Bones, and Shiny get led outside and froze. He wondered why they were here but didn't know if he should ask. So he just watched them be held in place while the crowds gathered and bets were placed. Mama and Shiny both looked like they were struggling to stay standing and there was blood on their sleeves. Bones for once looked angry. He was a tall boy who usually didn't show much emotion but he actually looked angry for once and kept trying to fight the guards. They eventually had to knock him down to his knees so it would be easier to hold him in place. Charlie watched as this 7'2 teenager kept trying to yank his hands away from the guards but they still refused to let go. Next Charlie saw X and Pippin get led outside. X had a gash above his eyebrow and Pippin had dried blood clumping some of her hair together. They both looked around and didn't try to fight the guards. They were just calm.

Lastly to everyone's surprise, Lasso was walked out. Bones had stopped fighting the moment he saw him and his anger turned to concern. Lasso still looked like he was struggling to breathe and part of his ear was missing. "Lasso?-" Mama asked and he looked at her. "Your alive?!" Shiny was shocked. "No I'm a fucking ghost." Lasso rolled his eyes and Shiny frowned. "It's a little misleading when we hear a screaming match from down the hall then a gunshot and everything go silent." He argued back and Lasso considered it and nodded. In the pits in front of them their was loud snarling and something scratching against metal. "That don't sound like a zom.." X mumbled to himself but Pippin overheard him and nodded.

Cypher was still inside up in her room. Each time she would get up the pain in her feet would force her back down. Her feet had new bandages on them but it was still painful to walk. She sighed and grabbed her boots and put them on. She winced and had to take a few breaks but managed to get her boots on, hoping they would provide some cushion for her feet. They did not. Cypher finally just got up, trying her best to ignore the fiery pain in her feet and she began to limp to a coat hook on her wall and grabbed her trench coat. She leaned against the wall and quietly groaned in pain. Finally she took a deep breath and limped to the nightstand and grabbed her gun holster, knife sheath, and Jet's old flask and hooked them onto her belt. Cypher sat down for a moment longer on her bed to give her feet a break but then forced herself to get up again. She limped to her door and laid her head on it for a moment then finally left her room.

She heard a scream from outside and her lifted her head. She couldn't tell who was screaming but she took off running, ignoring the waves of pain coming from the cuts in her feet with each step. She sprinted down the stairs, skipping some steps and stumbling but regaining her balance and continued on. Shouts from the guards can be heard outside and she ran out to see what was going on. Once she got outside the first thing she saw was a fight break out between the guards and one boy. A giant kid who was screaming and yelling while fighting the guards trying to get away. Five guards had rushed in to try to help the initial two and they finally got him pinned down. Cypher realized that the screaming she heard was him screaming for him mom who was just pushed into one of the pits. The giant was who she recognized as the one and only Bones.
