Penny No

          Mama Williams woke up confused and groggy as she was getting dragged away from her son. Lasso shot up the moment he was pushed off of Mama Williams. "The fuck are you doing." He got up, staggering forward but regaining his balance. His dark, untrusting eyes were back instead of the foggy grey they were last night. Penny had her pistol pointed at him and wore a scared look. Oh how terrible she was at hiding fear, Lasso just stared down at the woman, annoyed that she dragged his mom away from him. He took a step forward but she pointed his gun at his head. "You stay back-" she hissed, fear lacing her voice. "Penny but the damn gun down..." Mama yawned, getting up as well. "Elizabeth don't you remember him last night! He was fucking eating one of the damn mutants when we found him!" She snapped and Mama Williams grabbed her gun. "If you wake up my other boys I'll be shooting you." Mama snapped, too tired to play nice as she walked back over to Lasso.

            Lasso staggered towards her and clung to her once more. Sharp pains shot through his joints every time he moved but that did not stop him. Mama gently lowered herself to the ground, making Lasso go down with her. "Why did you untie him- you're going to get bit-" Penny warned but Mama didn't seem to care. She just gently cradled him until he fell back asleep. "I heard him up and growling and stuff- you have to tie his hands back up-" Penny told her but Mama didn't seem worried. "It hurts him" Mama told her bluntly while gently running her thumb over the bandages around his wrists. "You're going to get us killed." Penny snapped at her but Mama Williams wasn't having it. "And you are about to get yourself shot. I have him under control it's fine." Mama Williams snapped back, her patience slowly diminishing. Penny rolled her eyes and walked away, not believing she had it under control but there was no point in arguing.

After another hour of letting everybody sleep it was time to get going again. Mama woke Lasso up again while Penny woke the rest. Pippin was already awake so she handled Bones and Charlie. Penny had to shake Davy awake while Thompson woke up just by hearing everybody else up and talking. They began to pack the little bit of stuff they got out and Thompson noticed Lasso standing off to the side, scratching at his face. It looked like he was trying to get the dried blood from the night before off himself but it wasn't working. Thompson just chuckled and got up, grabbing a cloth and his canteen then walking over to the cowboy.

He poured some of the water onto the cloth as he walked over. "Here I gotcha, just hold still." Thompson told him while trying to wipe his face with the cloth but Lasso quickly moved his head and snatched it out of his hand. "I got it." He grumbled and started trying to wipe his face off. "Just trying to help grumpy" Thompson mumbled while watching him struggle. He assumed either his arms or his wrists were hurting since he looked in pain each time he moved. Thompson sighed and took the cloth back. "Just hold still I got you" Thompson told him but Lasso just moved his head again, almost falling. Thompson caught him and held there until he finally gave up, resting his chin on Thompson's forearm with an annoyed look.

"There, that's all you had to do" Thompson muttered while wiping his face off. Lasso occasionally tried to move his face away but Thompson held him there. He heard Pippin's giggles and looked back at her. "Your brother's a stubborn one ya know" Thompson chuckled back and let Lasso go once he was done. "What do you say Lasso?" She teased and Lasso just glared back at Thompson. "Fuck you." He grumbled while storming off back to Mama. "Uh love ya too" Thompson rolled his eyes then realized what he said. "Wait- not what I meant- shit-" he tried to cover himself up. Lasso just gave him a weird look while Pippin and Davy were laughing. "That was an automatic response I'm sorry-" he quickly apologized and Lasso just flipped him off and walked back to Mama Williams who was giggling to herself.

Pippin eventually went over to Lasso and playfully bumped him. "Remember you're taken" she teased and smacked his hat over his eyes. Lasso quickly fixed his hat and swatted her away. She walked away again laughing and Davy was off teasing Thompson at the same time. Bones and Charlie were both equally confused on why everybody was laughing due to them not listening to what was going on. Neither of them bothered to ask but it was very confusing while they finished packing.

Once everyone was done packing they set off once more. Hours passed without another incident with Lasso which relieved Mama Williams. They all listened closely to make sure the noises of the forest didn't fade away, which they never did. After walking for awhile Pippin could've sworn she heard a familiar voice in the distance. She stopped in front of everybody and listened for a moment. Her face lit up as she listened and suddenly went into a dead sprint. Following behind her was Lasso and Bones to make sure she was okay. The others were left behind as the three of them emerged into a clearing with a lake in the middle of it and two men by the bank.
